Gayna, I'm really not sure how they would handle your situation. I would suggest calling the Riu wedding department (if you can talk to Tristan she is awesome!!) and ask. We won't have any guests so I have never thought about it. Let us know what you find out! Oh and while I'm there I will also ask for you and post when I get back

LOL Mrs. Martin! I'm seriously going to have to restrain myself so I don't act out that smiley to perfection On a better note, I finally made contact! Not with Pamela, but her assistant Natalie who is a dream! We've emailed 3 times since yesterday and she gets back to me within hours!

Please send me some "happy weather dust" if you can! Looking at the forecast, its supposed to be snowing at both airports we fly out of/stopover the day we leave! I'm sure it will be fine, but after the storms last week and all those flight delays I'm a bit freaked out!

Hmmm, maybe I should have left something to do for the wedding until this week... I'm all done and have nothing to do but worry lol!

Hi fellow brides! Hope you all had wonderful holidays! Christmas seemed like an afterthought here, but we ended up having one of the best in years

I can't believe that I leave in little over a week and will be married in exactly 2!!!

I still can't get Pamela to answer anything by email, I wonder if something happened... eek! Since I made the comments about the same email over and over in November I've heard NOTHING! I'm calling on Monday to see whats up, I seriously wonder if she possibly hasn't gotten my emails, but then wouldn't she think to email me?! (LOL I would have called her MUCH earlier but I was sick all of the beginning of December and then was working crazy hours over the holidays... I work in retail...)

Either way, I've decided I will get the wedding I want, and good luck to anyone that stands in my way when we get there LOL

If I don't get a chance to pop in here before we leave, I promise there will be a full review soon after we are home and LOTS of pics!

Hi ladies! Merry (belated) Christmas! I hope everyone had a good one

My list is DONE! All I have to do is pack (which I want to do now LOL), pick up my dress, do legal day, and LEAVE!

FI still has things to do but I basically gave up on him and if he is shirtless, barefoot, and is wearing pants that are too big, its his problem, there will just be more pics of me muahaha

Ok... EEEEKKKK! It just occurred to me that I will be legally married in 20!!! days, on a flight to Cancun in 21 and have my wedding in 24! Suddenly everything I thought was such an accomplishment last week seems like no where near enough done! I think I have told you Im in management at a retail store... that means next week is non-existent lol, I'll be almost living there. Next Monday (22nd) is my only day off until the monday after (29th), and then the monday after is when my vacation begins (5th) with my legal on the 6th! Whew!

Here is my plan:

22nd - get our marriage license!!! (talk about last minute)

- go in desperate search of a white wool coat

- pick up wedding bands

- tell FI he better damn well find a white shirt and any sandals because I give up lol

- finish the announcements I was supposed to finish the other night hehe

- do my final dress fitting (long story about why it didn't happen yesterday... cold weather, ice and cars don't get along to say the least)

29th - pay the final amount to our photographer

- CLEAN my house (my mom and FMIL are house/cat sitting oh my!!)

- RELAX!

5th - just chill!

-pack!

- remember that its all worth it and i will be a married woman the next morning

- have a nervous breakdown and then just chill again!

Somewhere in there I need to find a waterproof moneybelt for FI. Im super paranoid about my resorts safes and dont want to leave anything important behind. Anyone else worried about that?

Anything I forgot lol? I was soooo ready and now am a bit frightened by all of this! I can't wait though

Happy Friday everyone!

I'm off to get my hair cut/colored and a trial run for my day. It's going to be fairly simple, so we are going to take pictures that I can take for the stylist in Cancun

Then I'm going to finish off my announcements! I decided to make them myself, and am loving how they are turning out. I'll try to get a pic up when they are done!

Between yesterday and today I finished almost half of my to-do list, seems too easy eeek! LOL!

Hi ladies! I haven't been around lately, I can't believe how close we all are! I think I might go crazy, but I have mostly everything done, I hope lol! It all started a couple weeks ago when I found out I had to work 14 days straight, ugh! That turned into 12 days with 1 off and then 8 more straight (I have 2 more to go before MUCH NEEDED days off). It wouldn't have been soooo bad, but I have an ear infection that just won't go away!

So not suprising, I haven't got anything done lol!

Still to do:

-Find FI a band and order it

-Find him a shirt

-Find him sandals

(Can you tell he is being difficult? LOL)

-Make my announcements on Thursday

-Do my final fitting

-Hair cut/color

-Find a white wool coat for legal day, I thought this would be sooooo easy in the winter, but can't find one anywhere eeek!

-Book a room for the night before we leave

-Decide if I want to wear jewellry or not

Thats all I can think of right now, but Im sure there is more!

Can I get your opinions please? This is my dress Jade Daniels Style 2082 Do you think I need jewellry or just let the dress speak for itself? I am going to have a white calla lily bouquet and FI is going to wear white/tan. I am dying my sandals green or purple though Also my nails are going to be acryllic with either purple or green tips depending on what I go for with me sandals.

Sandinmytoes and I are doing almost the same thing! We are having the legal ceremony here the day before we leave for our parents, and then its just the 2 of us in Cancun We are still paying the full price for the wedding because our resort has a symbolic ceremony package for 2-10 people.

This is what works for us, and if it is what you want, go for it! I think its super romantic to share the day with only each other

LOL I HAD to look at this thread! I work at La Senza Even we were a bit shocked when those whips came in, but we have already seen whats coming from Valentines day and the whips are nothing lol

It's getting very close! 1 month and 3 weeks!

Anyone stressed about anything? I just realized that we never ordered my wedding band, duh, lol, so I was having a breakdown about that, but it can be here in 2 weeks so Im good again hehe!

Other than that, Im just excited and want January to be here!!!

My dress is pretty poufy at the bottom too, one idea my seamstress had that I forgot to share is one of those suit bags that you vacuum the air out of. We might try it on my dress just to see how it goes

Yay for AHR invites!!! What colors did you use? I think I am going to go for black and white with red (they are the polka dot ones at Michaels if anyone has seen them)

Oh and we are flying Transat...

I have contacted my airline and they usually hang if there is room, otherwise the flight attendant will wait until everyone has their overhead luggage in and lay the dress overtop. Try asking for that if nothing else? Good luck!
