  2. I just became a May 2010. I was October '09 but had to change it. Trust me time goes very fast. Begin planning NOW!
  3. I know! It's crazy. I get my emails over the phone so when I wake up in morning I can't wait to see the updates to my subscriptions.
  4. That beotch! LOL. Let her go through with it. Trust me, she can't plan much between now and then. Her wedding is not going to be near as perfect as yours. Make sure you do everything first. GET THOSE STDS OUT! Can your guests start paying for yours now? Make sure they have all that info! Trust me, she's not going to have a wedding of her dreams because she doesn't have enough time to plan it. One year wasn't enough for me, I pushed it back! I would be very cautious getting fmil involved. IT COULD BACK FIRE.
  5. Hello all, After consideration, I am changing the wedding date. It will now be May 22, 2010. I had originally thought May but it seemed so long off. Now that October is less than a year away, it doesn't seem that long away now. I guess it is better because I was starting to feel the pressure in the planning but now that it is May, I can plan at ease, a steady pace. I do have questions for you though: I can't confirm the date until March/April of 2009. However, I still wanted to send something to my guest around Christmas time. A card and save the dates Should I send it with the date of 05/22/10 or just send with 05/10? Now that I have more time to choose a resort I can look at other resorts. I chose Riu Caribe because the capacity we excepted and I liked their wedding packages. Also the prices were good for my guests. I wanted to keep everything under $1000 for them. Does anyone having any suggestions on other resorts in Cancun. FYI... My first choice was Dreams Cancun but the wedding package is so expensive for the number of guests I want. (Im at 65-85) Thanks for all suggestions!
  6. I was interested in beginning a blog for my bridal party. Really my bridesmaids and myself. Does anyone know a good site to do that? My wedding website has a section for blogging but I don't want everyone to see it, only my bridesmaids. Thanks in advance for your info!
  7. Welcome and Congrats. Have a great time with all your planning!

    Hola

    Hello and Welcome!
  9. Welcome and Congrats! You will certainly find all info you need here!
  10. Great job on everything. Right now I'm sure you are in in a honeymoon bliss! Can't wait to see your pics when you return!
  11. I agree with Sally. Read the entire contract. If it doesn't state anything about prices being able to change, fight it completely!
  12. I am helping a girlfriend plan her wedding on valentines day here in the states because with fi and I footing bill on our entire wedding I can't afford to be in her wedding when she just gave me the notice a week ago and I have to dish out money right now for the bridesmaid dress now in order for it to be here on time. The least I can do is help her plan it. Anyway, does anyone know of a site online that will rent table and chair covers for a weddng.? Please help. THanks.
  13. I'm a burnt orange bride. I plan for my bridesmaids to wear burnt orange. So my colors are burnt orange, wine and a touch of yellow. I love that idea while getting married on the beach at sunset!!
  14. It seems like everyone is not interested in their resorts photographers. Why is that?
  15. Forgot to tell you. KEEP IT SIMPLE. If you are going for the elegant look, I recommend getting an american manicure. It is similar to a french manicure but it looks much more natural. If the manicurist can't do an american, than get the french. Make sure the manicurist makes all your nails even. If you have that one that you are proud of for growing so long...Sorry but get rid of it, it will grow back!
  16. Well I haven't started yet but my Dr. just told me he wanted me to lose about 40 lbs. He gave me a diet a few years ago called the Pittsburgh Cardiovascular Diet. I followed this diet slightly when I first got it and the weight was coming off. Since then, I've had another child. I am going to start it up again, eventually. If you are interested, look it up online, if not, I can get it to you somehow. Below is the basics of it. For breakfast: One egg cooked any way slice of cheese glass of water glass of grapefruit juice or a half of grapefruit Lunch: water, glass of grapefruit juice or half of grapefruit, salad, any dressing, I think any kind of meat on salad Dinner: Any meat prepared any way water glass of grapefruit juice or half of grapefruit Dinner is where I didn't follow. I would just eat anything I think
  17. I voted for the traditional but it depends on what type of wedding you're going for. I just had this issue. I didn't know it was such a big deal until I had to go through it. My sister-in-law did them for me and before it was over, she was tired of me!!!
