Did anyone get a spray tan before their BD photoshoot? Mine is on Tuesday and I'm debating whether I should get one or not since I'm so pasty! I've never gotten a spray tan before but was thinking of going on Saturday. Do you think it's a good idea? I know that tanning is slimming but I don't want to look blotchy or orange in my pics!

Just wanted to let you know that I got my chair sashes and table runners today from tableoverlays.com and they look awesome! I ordered them in fuchsia and the colour is perfect. I'll try to post pics at some point.

I sent back the sweater today along with a sweater dress that I bought from them to wear at my bridal shower (could you imagine coming down with a crazy rash at your shower). I sent a LONG email to VS tonight and I'll follow up with them tomorrow. They say that they will reply within 24 hours, I'll still call them anyways. I have taken some pictures so if they need proof I'll send those. It just sucks so bad expecially since my BD shoot is next Tuesday! Hopefully it clears up by then, if not the photog will be going heavy on the photoshop, lol.

Ok, so I don't know if sick is the proper term but I have been super uncomfortable for the past 4 days! Here's a warning I bought a cowl neck sweater and a sweater dress from VS online, the only reason why I bought the sweater was that it was on sale for $13 (I figured it was a great price and I can never have enough sweaters). When I opened the bag I noticed that it smelled a bit and I did figure that it was the preservative on the wool (I'm a toxicologist so I know that most garments are treated) but I've never had really sensitive skin so I didn't think twice about it (and of course I never wash anything before wearing it like they say you should, I never had a problem before). I wore the sweater all day Thursday, no problem. The next morning I woke up and everywhere that the sweater had touched was covered in bright red bumps and little blisters!!! Worst was my neck and face (since it was a cowl neck), it was like someone burned my skin and it blistered and then became super scaly! It's still all crusty today (sorry TMI) and the spots are still there! I've been miserable all weekend because I'm so itchy and look like a freak, lol. I've been using benadryl, hydrocortisone and calamine lotion but it's only improved a little. I even had a low grade fever on Saturday, I'm assuming since my immune system is going so crazy. I talked to a friend who's a Dr and she said it's contact dermatitis and I just need to keep doing what I'm doing. I know that there were lawsuits against their bras being treated with a formaldehyde preservative a few years ago, looks like it may not only be the bras!

I ordered from Wholesale Organza overlays, Polyester Overlays and Satin Overlays I should be getting them next week so I'll keep you posted about how they look.

I kept forgetting to post this but I just wanted to share the cute fondant cupcake toppers that I got from Etsy! We wanted something fun but also edible instead of using flowers to decorate and since we have a hibiscus theme these were perfect! Apparently they last without fading for a year + as long as they're kept in a cool dark place. The seller ClineffsConfections was really great, very responsive, quick to ship, everything arrived safely and the price was really reasonable! Just wanted to share.
