Thank you both for giving me your input, I appreciate it. We have been emailing each other back and forth quite frequently and not until the last few days have I not gotten a response from her. So she has been great replying back to emails that I have sent her. The idea of asking her for some more sample pictures is a great idea. I think I am going to email her now and see if she can do that for me. I am also trying to find out more about the photo album that is included in some of the packages. She was trying to send me a link to them but then she forgot to include it, so I am waiting now to hear back about that.

After going back and forth about which photographer to use for my wedding at Dreams Tulum I have finally decided to use Claudia Rodriguez. I am excited about this but I am still searching for some more photos or information about her work. Has anyone used Claudia herself? I know several people have used different associates there but I just wanted to make sure that hiring Cluadia is a good decision. If anyone could help me out I would truly appreciate it! Thanks a ton!

Callie, your pictures are beautiful! did you just use the resort photographer or did u have another one as well?

I am getting married in July and I am definitely planning on fans and my FH is bringing an extra shirt for after the ceremony in case he is hot and sweaty.

I am also looking at using Claudia and I have only heard wonderful things about her. I am actually discussing photographers with my dad in the morning and she is one of the top on my list. her prices seem very reasonable and her work looks I amazing. I would love to hear from others about her work and also about juan carlos and Zasil studios

sjbrown, Sorry about the bad news about the upgrades. Maybe if you take Sunbrides advice and tell them about other brides that they have done that for then they will change their mind. I completely understand the frustration of them not contacting you for several weeks. My travel agent has been waiting for a response from the group bookings dept. for several weeks and finally heard from them just the other day. My FH finally called the resort a few days ago to find out about our contract and they said that one person in their dept. is no longer working there and it is taking them a while to backtrack and get everything straight. I hope that everything works out for you and just remain persistent

Has anyone used a vendor for live butterflies that you can release at your wedding. I found one site and a person who used one company and it seemed wonderful. I am curious if anyone else has done this or is planning on doing it? This is the site that I was sent from another member on here... Does anyone know exactly how the album credits work for different photographers? I am looking at a few photographers to use for the wedding and some of them like Del Sol have album credits. I am just not sure exactly how they work.... I hope this isn't too confusing, I'm a bit tired

TrishB12, I have been working with a travel agent and the prices that we got for 5 nights/6 days in July is right around $690 for gardenview and $850 for oceanview. That is of course without airfare... but it seemed like a wonderful deal. Maybe that will help a little bit, but it really looks like the prices vary quite a bit. Enjoy planning and just remember that in the end it's your wedding and you need to be completely happy about all of it, even if it costs a little more for your guests. They love you and will do what they can to be there.

I know that I have talked about photographers several times on here. I am just having a really difficult time making a decision about who to use and still not spending a fortune. I was wondering if anyone is getting a photo album created with one of the photographers that they are using. I was looking at Claudia Rodriquez but I did not see an option for a photo album...maybe I overlooked it. As far as Del Sol, they look like absolutely wonderful pictures and cost quite a bit more, which I completely understand. But then they list the photo album starting at 1,500. It just seems like it really adds up to alot. So basically does anyone know any more information about the photographers or know of one that has reasonable costs for the wedding day services and also a photo album. Hope this sounds somewhat clear... it's been a long day!!

WOW!!!! This is the most exciting day, well besides when I got engaged! But thank you, thank you, thank you! My fiance and I said that we would wait til the middle of November to make a decision about doing the wedding at DT or moving it back the beach here in the states...look like the decision was made just in time!!!!!! YIPEE!!!

I am thrilled because I got my group contract in place for our guests rooms today and I also finally decided on bridesmaids dresses! So I am in love with the colors of the dresses but am having a difficult time thinking of what colors to have for the wedding. So if anyone has any suggestions... I would love them! Latinalocany, I completely understand your stress, concern, and sleepless nights! I have been experiencing the same thing and I am still SO far away compared to others. As far as researching new places and postponing your wedding... I had the same thoughts but then talked to my older brother who said "why would you postpone your wedding because of this bump when honestly the most important thing is getting married to the one you love". So with that in mind... I changed my attitude and decided to just let things go and hope and wish things work out. So basically don't change it yet keep the positive thoughts going and remember that all that matters is you marrying your man! I know it is hard though...believe me!

Thanks for all of the suggestions about photgraphers. I truly appreciate it. I am very happy that this forum exists because it is mainly the only thing that is keeping e positive about Dreams Tulum and all of the happenings going on right now. I am trying to my hardest to stay away from the closure threads, so I can remain sain and positive. Thank you again for all of the suggestions and help everyone and let's just keep thinking that everything is going to be perfect for Dreams Tulum.

I have looked over some of the different photographers but thought I would ask for a few recommendations. I have seen Elizabeth Medina, Jean Marcus, and Del Sol a lot but just thought I would see if anyone else has other ideas. Thanks:)

Does anyone have any pictures of flowers, other than the file that they(the resort) send you with some pictures? I REALLY want orchids but I am worried that they won't really be available. Let me know if anyone has ideas or information about what you can/cannot get. Thanks a ton! By the way... I'm still keeping everything crossed that the resort opens soon and no one else's weddings will get moved!
