Teesha's Dreams Tulum Resort and Wedding Review
sdtooley replied to Teesha's topic in Destination Wedding Reviews
Absolutely gorgeous pictures! I loved them! I was wondering what version of somewhere over the rainbow you have for your slideshow. Thanks:) -
hey ladies! I know this question has been asked several times but I'm still having a hard time finding exactly what I want and need...where have you all ordered you chair sashes from and what size should I order? I'm also trying to decide on what color to get. My bridesmaids dresses are French blue and I don't know if I really want blue. Help please and thank you!

sgBrown, I am so sorry to hear that you are having to switch up everything after working so hard! Just to ease some of your nerves... one of my best friends got married there last in April of last year right after the resort was opened and it was a BEAUTIFUL wedding and such a beautiful resort! I absolutely loved it and it is the main reason why I chose to do a destination wedding. So good luck and have a blast!

Sarah Sproull (Sproullie Designs) has been working on my invitations for me over the past few weeks and she is absolutely AMAZING!!! She has been sending me different drafts and today she sent me photos of an example that she has put together for me. I am absolutely in love with them and I just had to post them on here so people can see what an amazing job she does!

Maracas anyone?
sdtooley replied to Madbride2009's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
Thanks Madbride2009! She def. Didn't give me that much information so I am glad I have more information now so I can make decisions. I'm curious about the different sizes now and what size I should get. -
Maracas anyone?
sdtooley replied to Madbride2009's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
Yes she did send me pricing. Here is what she sent to me: "Maracas start at $3.50 usd each for a simple design, two-tone maraca. An example of that would be Lacy Romance or White Flowers in my blog. It's $.50 for each additional color and $.25 for line of text (i.e. $.25 for date, $.25 for location, $.25 for names)." -

I am in the process now of having my invitations designed and then I am going to have Mishka handpait mine for me! I am sooo excited about them. I would really reccommend her because she gets back to you so quickly and it looks like she does a wonderful job! -
I am so torn right now between ordering my own fabric to take down with me or just sucking it up and paying the fees at the resort. The only thing that concerns me is if they do have colored fabric for the gazebo? I am not even sure what color I would like for the gazebo but if I do end up wanting it I would hope that they would be able to access it. So basically does anyone know or has anyone used the material at the resort for other things besides just the tables? Also does anyone know if they have fabric to drape on the ceiling of the seaside grille or is that something that everyone has just brought from home? Thanks ladies!

Alright, so is it completely normal from being SUPER excited about everything one day and the next day start freaking out a bit! Yesterday I was excited because things are coming along and then today kind of freaked out trying to schedule bridal showers and bachelorette parties. I just received another invitation today for another bachelorette party and wedding... needless to say that I already have 3 showers, 2 bachelorette parties, and 2 weddings not even including mine in the next 3 months. Sorry to vent but it just all hit me today that time is ticking away and all of the free weekends to work on things are getting booked up really fast! Did other people start to get a little stressed with things and time going way too fast?

DJ Doremixx vs. DJ. Mannia
sdtooley replied to cancunbride's topic in Riviera Maya and Cancun Wedding Vendors
That is so strange that they are being so difficult about letting you bring in an outside DJ but are allowing you to bring in a photographer. I would seriously consider trying to push this with them especially since Dreams Tulum actually allows outside vendors. It doesn't make sense that the same company has different rules. But again that is just my thinking. On a positive note, I contacted DJ Doremixx and he has been so wonderful about contacting me back and I am putting my deposit down for his services this week! So thank you to those of you who have recommended him! -
I am glad that you like them. Here is the website for Indah Designs: Indah Designs Necklaces Her name is Camille and here is her email address as well [email protected]. She is so wonderful and will personalize the story for the photograph, like a personal message to each bridesmaid.

Rachel's Dreams Tulum Review

Thank you so much for the review Rachel! I love your flowers and they really did a great job on your hair as well! Congrats! -
I have been searching for wonderful and unique necklaces for my bridesmaids and I have found it! A few years ago I was at the beach and bought this necklace for myself. The person who makes these necklaces travels around the world taking photos of different places and then turns them into necklaces. So now I have decided to order a different one for each of my bridesmaids. Here are a few pictures of the necklaces and of my bridesmaids dresses. Please let me know what you think and if it looks right! DJ Doremixx vs. DJ. Mannia
sdtooley replied to cancunbride's topic in Riviera Maya and Cancun Wedding Vendors
I am so excited that I stumbled upon this board because I was contemplating the same thing about DJ Mannia. I really want to use an outside DJ, one that I know will keep everything going but with all of the other expenses, I wanted to find a reasonable cost. I am getting married at Dreams Tulum and I am really surprised that Dreams Tulum allows outside vendors but Dreams Cancun doesn't. I would have assumed that they would have the same policies, but I guess not. Anyways I have emailed DJ Doremixx and I can't wait to hear back from him. -
amesharpe's Dreams Tulum Wedding Review
sdtooley replied to amesharpe's topic in Destination Wedding Reviews
I was just wondering how many guests you had there for your reception? -
So I sent Anabel an email about having a cocktail party the evening before the wedding and she finally sent me some information. Its basically just like the cocktail party included in the wedding packages... So its $20 per person per hour and it includes drinks and appetizers. Just thought I would share the information that I received in case anyone else has the same question.
