  1. You don't need to pay the $700 fee at the pool or beach, that fee is only for indoor/restaurant options.
  2. Great review! I was wondering how you picked the reception menu from the restaurant menus? Did you do this in advance or at your meeting with the WC? I wouldn't mind having more options than those just listed in the wedding packages.

  4. Congrats Amyc! Looking forward to reading your review. Now go enjoy your honeymoon!!!!
  5. Just wanted to let everyone know, that MTM has updated their website with more slideshows of their work.
  6. I'm using the videographer that comes with the wedding package. I believe it's only for 30-45 minutes which is fine. I really just want the ceremony recorded. Plus, I have family members that will be filming as well throughout the night.
  7. Thanks for the review Ashley. I'm still trying to decide if I want hire a DJ, especially if a majority of my guests actually make it to the wedding (i'm still waiting for a ton of rsvps..it's so frustating!!) Do you mind telling me what the prices are like, if there are any types of packages and how long did you hire them for? Feel free to pm with the info if you like. Thanks

  9. Hi ladies, does anyone know if champagne is included at the reception? I know I need to pay for it during the cocktail hour, but I don't want to also pay for it during the reception.
  10. Congratulations! There are many DT brides here so feel free to pick our brains. There is also a sticky thread dedicated to us DT brides which is super helpful. I am going with the ultimate package. I'm not too sure on the extras yet, I think it may determine on how many people go and if things are in my budget. Happy planning!
  11. Thanks for clearing that up! I'll m ake sure to email Landy about that and also bring it up at our meeting before the wedding.
  12. Congratulations Chanti!! Can't wait to read your review. I have a stupid question...do the tables for the reception come standard with white linens or do we actually need to pay for them? FI just asked me about it and it got me thinking Also, are only hor d’oeuvres and champagne included in the cocktail hour? I would definitely want more than champagne to be served but don't want to pay extra for it. Thanks!
  13. I had emailed Natalia about having my own photographer, she said that I would be required to pay for the day pass, however, since I have a TTD session the day after my wedding, I actually booked my photographer a room so they are considered a guest and I do not need to pay any additional fees.
  14. Hi everyone, I just received an email from Landy enclosing the 2010 wedding guide, I will try and attach it to this post. Some of the prices have gone up for the extras which doesn't come as a surprise to me. However, one thing to note is that the guide now says that DT "performs two or three weddings a day". According to Landy's email to me she says this has been there practice for the past 2 years. Sunbride, maybe you can have the new guide posted on page 1? Dreams_Tulum_Wedding 2010.pdf
  15. Oh wow!! Sorry starlit and mixie. This news defintely has me on edge. Last time I emailed with Natalia, she mentioned there was another ceremony an hour before mine. the wedding guide mentions that only 2 weddings would be held per day. Hopefully the resort will stick to what the guide says in the future. Too many things can go wrong and mistakes on someone's wedding day are completely frustating.
  16. I would probably start looking now. You could also check with your resort to see if they have any photographers on site that you could use.

  19. ebredhawk - We are planning to go to Moorea and Bora Bora after our wedding in Mexico. I've been looking into packages now, but it seems that promotional prices for 2010 don't come out until Aug or Sept so I'm kinda just waiting right now.
  20. Hi everyone!! I'm getting married on the 24th at Dreams Tulum in Mexico. I feel like I have done a lot already but still have a hundred more things to do. So far we have sent out our STDs and invitations, blocked off the rooms, booked our trip, booked our photographer and I ordered my dress. I got back a few rsvps already but only my sister's family and my mom booked. Now we're working on getting package prices for our honeymoon.
  21. it's gorgeous, stunning!! My dress has a long train with beading all over and i'm getting married on the beach...so don't think it's too formal!
  22. hi everyone...i ordered my wedding dress a few weeks ago and am now wondering what type of shoes, if any, should I wear. My ceremony and reception will both be on the beach as of now so I'm not sure if I should wear heels. What are you ladies doing? Going barefoot, heels or barefoot sandals?
  23. Hey girls, I saw a post a few pages back that the daily bike tours to the ruins has been discontinued!! I was really looking forward to doing this again and have been telling my guests about it for months! For upcoming brides heading to Tulum, would you be kind enough to find out if this is true and maybe bring back a list of tours they offer Also, someone asked about the price of the taxi to the ruins. If I remember correctly, it was about $7 when I went about 4 years ago, so if the prices have gone up, I don't think it should be more than $10 now.
