It sounded to me that entertainment is scheduled around the location of wedding receptions. Which, I suppose, is good news for us here on this board! Weddings seem to be the money maker over there so I guess it doesn't surprise me that they would do that. I do kinda feel bad for all the other guests though...I know I would be extremely upset if I went away on vacation and the entertainment was cancelled due to a wedding. They could always have it somewhere else on the resort.

I had sent an email to Landy and Natalia about the locations and neither mentioned to me that this would not be an option.
  3. i hate shopping for guys! i asked FI for help about what guys like and his answer was beer and boobs lol!! I like the shot glass and cigar ideas. I'll look into those! Thanks everyone!
  4. ajncooter - I am staying at the Hilton in Moorea for my honeymoon in May. I am staying in the new garden bungalows that have a private pool. Did you by chance see those during your stay?? Do you have any restaurant or execursion recommendations? ida - I am also going to Bora Bora after Moorea and will be staying at the IC Thalasso. It looks beautiful!!! Can't wait
  5. Hi everyone. I am stumped on what to get our male guests to stuff in their oot bags. I am thinking about getting pashminas or a sarong for the girls, but what do I get the guys?? Any suggestions. I don't want to get anything too expensive or bulky.

  7. Great job!! Where did you buy the individual packets of pepto, lifesavers, etc from? I was thinking about searching ebay for that stuff.
  8. So I got home from work today and found a surprise package at my door!! My bags came in already! I thought I wouldn't get them for at least another two weeks. I love them!! The quality of the bags are nice, not too skimpy and not too heavy. The only thing I was a little bummed about was the length of the handles...they are shorter than what i wanted. I thought they would be long enough for people to put on their shoulders but you can't. I tried measuring and it's about 12 inches long. i probably should have asked the vendor about this before ordering, but i'm not going to beat myself up over short handles! The vendor was super easy to deal with and fast. I would definitely recommend them The name of the company is Innovative Greetings and the website is ingreetings.com. Here are two pics
  9. Congratulations and welcome!! I visited Maui once and it is beautiful!! I am sure your wedding will be gorgeous Happy planning
  10. I never thought of anything creative to write on our oot tags! I am going with the standard: names, place, date What you wrote as your back up option is very nice! I may end up borrowing it lol!
  11. Congratulations Nicole! It's always great hear such good things about Lincoln and Lori!! Can't wait to see your pics!!
  12. Everytime I put a deposit down or buy something wedding related I get a knot in my stomach, lol!! I don't know why but it just happens! maybe nerves??
  13. I almost bought pocket invitations that were going to cost me about $450 and then I found beautiful invitations at Target! So I printed them out myself and put them together, it only cost me about $30 for 50 invites! The only thing I didn't like about these invitations were the envelopes. They felt a bit thin, but I figured they are going to be thrown out anyway so why pay more money if it's just going to go in the trash.

My ceremony was originally set for 5 but i changed it to 4. If you have it at 4will it really make that much of a difference?

However, Thursday, April 1st, is Maundy Thursday, and Friday, April 2nd, is Good Friday. I emailed Aurora a few minutes ago, but I wanted to see if anyone here might know. Will these days still count towards our 3 days, or do we have to get to Cancun even earlier (and miss even more work/school)? Help! (oh, and hi! I've been reading this thread fairly regularly, but I think it's my first post in it, so it's nice to meet you all.) Welcome and congratulations!! I am getting married on April 24th! The week you arrive is holy week which is a big holiday in Mexico. I know that many offices are closed during that time. I just looked at the 2010 guide and it does mention that holidays don't count. Are you planning on having a legal ceremony or a symbolic one? If it's symbolic then you don't need to worry about it.
  16. ok girls I just ordered my bags with design #2!! I'll let you know how they come out
