Couple questions - how did they hold up? Did the print start coming off or anything (I've heard a few ppl mention problems with that). ALso, how long did it take - just wondering how far in advance I should place the order - I don't know how many people are coming for sure yet. Thanks!

Be sure to wait for a Michael's coupon if you're going to buy - makes it cheap!

I might have to have the same ones!!! Let me know, they're gorgeous! Thanks Sandra!! I started with a plain white Martha Stewert kit from Michaels. It came with the outer envelope with the cut outs, the invitation and rsvp cards and envelopes. All the coloured stuff, I added - purchased the little flowers and paper at Michael's too. They were actually really, really easy, but I've been getting tons of compliments!
  4. I am SOOOO wearing my dress again! Love the idea of getting to wear it twice!

  6. Hi! I'm an Orange and Aqua bride! I LOVE the colour combo and am so happy I chose it. My bridemaids are wearing orange dresses and I have bought them some tourquise jewelry. I am having an all orange bouquet and I'll be using a lot of aqua in my accent colours. Here are my invitations:

Our group was a pretty big check in group (11 people) and that was honestly the worst part. The lobby was a mad house! But once we settled in everything was great. To answer some of the questions I saw... **Kids: There were kids, but I felt they were mostly younger and not like the annoying splashing kinds. I don’t think anyone in the group was ever bothered by any children the entire trip. **Beach Gazebo: Honestly I didn’t even see this!!! I’m telling you this place is huge! **Locations: Just a heads up for anyone who is contemplating locations….. The gazebo on the grounds is pretty, but you might want to know that the tram runs right along it, so it’s not as private and quiet as some others may be. The amphitheatre is actually really pretty! It’s right by the beach buffet, but they close at night, so it should be pretty private. I think this would be a nice alternative to the beach if it’s windy. If you have any other questions, let me know! Good luck to any lucky bride who's getting married here! Thanks for the info!!

I dont know much about making jewelry but there is a whole section of findings in Michaels, AC Moore and JoAnn Fabrics. please PM if you want to see an example. That's a really great idea! Do you have any pictures??
  12. Fantastic ideas! I hadnt even thought about people getting their mugs mixed up, but I'll be using one of these ideas now for sure. Yet another reason to LOVE the BDW forum!
  13. We didnt have a whole lot of choice for our wedding time. We are having a legal ceremony in Punta Cana and you are pretty much at the mercy of when the judge is available. So, we are getting married pretty early -noon. But I'm quite happy with it. We are having our reception on a yacht, leaving at 4pm for three hours. Dinner at sunset! So having our wedding at noon gives us enough time to enjoy ourselves, do pictures, etc. I think a lot of people seem to get married later in the day though. It's not as hot!
  14. Congrats Megan - can't wait to see the pictures of your invites! You did your own calligraphy - that's impressive!!

  16. Wow, crazy that you had such trouble with appointments. But as some of the others pointed out, makes me feel pretty good that they have such tight security !
