Hello ladies!
Sorry if I post this in the wrong spot, I'm new here...
So here is my dilemma, and if anyone here has been in this situation before, maybe you can give me some insight...I hope.
My fiance who I have been dating for 8 years finally proposed to me on Aug 19/08, due to a number of scheduling issues, as well as my (selfish I guess?) wants, it was always in my mind and heart that I wanted to marry my fiance in 2009.
So this past week, I was able to secure a wedding date of Feb 19/09 at the Iberostar Paraiso Beach. The Iberostar's policy clearly states that they want their wedding couples to be at the resort at least four working days (not including arrival date and wedding date) to complete blood tests and paper work. We arrive at the resort on Feb 16/09 at 10 p.m. I spoke to my travel agent about this issue and she reassured me that our wedding coordinators at the Iberostar Paraiso Beach (Ms. Palacios and Ms. Ake if any here knows of them) said they would make an exception for us and expidite everything once we're down there.
However, I'm still very anxious about this....what if they decide two working days isn't enough time and tell us "no"? How will I know for sure everything is going to be ok? What if they say no once we get there and I just wasted 20 of my family and friends' time and money, it would be horrible. I guess I should add we're having a civil marriage. My TA also assured me that she would be getting a written confirmation from the wc next week and would pass it my way when she gets it. I just don't know...
Has anyone ever done this or know anyone who has? I need something to calm my paranoid fears. Sorry for the long post, looking forward to some insight though!
