I would be hurt too. I am not on speaking terms with my birth father, however, at first my step dad (whom I love and cherish dearly and raised me with my mom since I was six years old) didn't want to come. I was pretty shocked and hurt. He stewed over it for a while and then conceded. I know he loves me, he's just not a big traveler. I am so thrilled that my mom AND step dad (as far as I know) will be walking me down the aisle. I wish you the best of luck with this, I feel that it was a really insensitive approach that your father took regarding his attendance at your Oct 09 wedding.

We're not having a formal "reception dance" or anything like that, we'll probably just hit up the bars around the resort and drink ourselves silly haha. Color me bitchy but I'm so glad that these two are done...DeAnna is so beyond in love with herself, it's nauseating. I'm glad my elementary/middle school classmate, Paul, as well as ALL of the other guys vying for her heart weren't picked. They can do better! lol

jkcz, I've been buying whey protein from Costco...I can't remember the name of it right now but I'll take a look when I get home today and update ya.

Here's what I've been doing for the last 8 months coupled with going to the gym six days a week and training with a PT for 3 of those 6 days: Bfast: - 2 eggs, 2 egg whites - 750 ml of water - Omega 369 pill - Multi-vitamin Snack: - 12 whole, unsalted almonds - 1/2 cup of plain, low fat (but not non-fat!!) yogurt with a scoop of vanilla protein powder Lunch: - 1/2 cooked chicken breast - 1/2 cup of whole wheat pasta Snack: - 1/2 of an apple (any kind works) - 1/2 cup of 1% milk with a scoop of vanilla protein powder Post work-out snack: - Banana protein shake (1 banana, 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder mixed with ice in a blender) Supper: Either of the following: - small round-eye steak, cooked any style - 2 whole eggs and a table spoon of regular peanut butter Doing this in addition with working out regularly has helped me lose 21 lbs so far, I'm hoping to lose another 10 - 20 lbs before my wedding. Also I usually drink 4 - 5 litres of water per day.

dbellie1414, thanks!! I'm very excited about it and just last night I had a horrible dream about my wedding band! lol I think I'm definitely in the "stressed bride" category as of now. Wow, sounds like you've been given the run around, I'm so sorry to hear that. Mostly, Gabriela has been very informative and accommodating with me. She usually takes three days or less to respond to my emails too, funny how that works that you get a reply in 2 - 3 weeks. I just sent you the list, so no problemo!!! It's in an Excel spreadsheet, so I hope that's ok.

I think what I might try to do is put it in a super secret non-obvious container within the room safe and hope for the best....I plan on putting so much crap in that safe that hopefully if someone breaks in to it, they won't feel like digging to find it. I will definitely also be contacting my insurer to make sure that they are covered.

Hey everyone! So, there's a thread under the "Travel" forum dealing with the security of safes in rooms at the resorts etc. I am still so stressed about what I should do with my rings! I want to bring and wear both of them while on vacation, but combined they are worth $5,000 and to me that's a lot of money. I don't want to get them stolen, yet I don't want to go swimming and stuff with them on. So this begs the question...where do I keep them? I don't trust the room safes because there is obviously master keys/codes for them and who's to say that someone with the power, won't abuse it? It's making me totally paranoid thinking about it to the point that I am considering getting a fake wedding band just so I don't have to deal with it all and leave my real rings at home. It's not what I want, but I will do it if necessary. Does anyone out there have any thoughts on this? Ladies who are already married??
