  1. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one struggling. You girls are my little support group hehe. Ugh, so I'm still misbehaving today....what is wrong with me?! lol
  2. Sascha, Those pictures are awesome, I'm so thrilled to see all of them. I can't wait for you to photograph our wedding next month!!

I checked with both my doc and pharmasist first to make sure that I was ok to. Basically, when you finish one pack (not including the placebo pills if your packs have em), you just start a new pack asap. I do this all the time now, I'll take 3 packs in a row, give my body a break, and then take another 3 packs, and repeat. I like this so much better than having my period once a month lol, but I guess I'm a bit of a control freak. Initially I started doing this because I did not want my period to come during my high school grad haha. I just wanted to add that my doc said there is no scientific proof (yet) that you can't take them as many days in a row as you want but I think if I go 64 on and 7 off it gives my body a chance to recuperate. I have gone longer than 64 days before but I think (well for me anyway) the body starts rebelling and wants you to have a period anyway, so I started spotting. That's how I figured that 64 days on was the max for me. To each their own, but maybe talk to your doctor about this first. Good luck!!

Now if I can just stay on track with my eating....lol I'll try to help you as best I can. Welcome to the forum and good luck!!
  5. Blah, so I saw my doctor on Friday and he told me that he didn't think that I was allergic to anything, just have a sensitivity. All he told me to do was either stop tanning, tan w/o lotion, do a patch test on different lotions, and take anti-histamines to reduce the itching and swelling. In other words, he was pretty much not at all helpful! I've waited a few days and I think I'll just try tanning again tomorrow...
  6. #1 and #5 are my favorites on you, good luck!!!
  7. YoursTruly - haha, I think I say that every week, but yes...Monday for sure! lol
  8. Yourstruly - lol omg, I'm doing the exact same thing!! Sylvia - I hear you!! Since I fell off the wagon around late Nov early Dec (Christmas laziness) I've gained about 4 lbs, It's not a huge gain but it's enough to make me feel really bad at self-sabotaging. I should be above this. It took me an entire year just to lose 20 lbs and I am not really interested in putting it back on and yet somehow I just can't help myself lately!
  9. So I don't know wtf is wrong with me lately but I cannot seem to get on track with eating properly like I should be before my wedding. I'm craving all sorts of crap I shouldn't be eating right now and I don't know why I can't help myself. Do any of you ladies find that stress, either conscious or subconscious causes you to make poor eating choices or am I totally nuts? lol

Hmmm, my TA did the initial communication with my wc (Gabriela) to secure the wedding date, but after that she informed me the rest was in my hands. I will send you Gabriela's email address when I'm at work in the morning since I can't remember it off the top of my head right now.
  11. Thanks again for your support ladies! I am freaking out, I want a tan for my wedding!! I may just end up trying the spray tan but I've never done it before. Where can I find out more about it? Is there anything that I need to know?? Maybe I am getting sensitive to UV light in my "old" age lol, that's sad! If that's true though, wouldn't I be bothered in the summer when I'm outside too? This only seems to happen these days when I tan indoors...
  12. Woo hoo, my name is 52. I'm pretty surprised about that actually, I don't know very many Katherines!
  13. Haha awww, thanks Amanda! I really appreciate that! I know, there just seems to be no winning with me and tanning lately, it's so strange since it never used to be a problem a few years ago. I made an appointment with my doc for tomorrow afternoon, so I'm hoping he can give me some insight. I think I may try tanning w/o lotion...at this point I'll try just about anything!! lol
  14. Now I have another problem!! I'm getting a stupid rash...again! I've eliminated the possibility of the rash being caused by hemp in my tanning lotion. Maybe it's the solution they use to clean they lay-down tanning beds? I used the lay-down twice since starting up again for the first time since August and I used the stand-up booth last night (for lots of reasons). I have no idea what's causing this allergic reaction and it makes me so sad because I want a bit of a glow before my wedding and I'm too chicken to try spray-tanning. Now what do I do? Ugh, so disappointed!!
  15. Thanks again for all of your helpful suggestions ladies! I went to the tanning place after my workout tonight and they traded my old lotion for a new one without bronzer in straight up...thank goodness! KimmyG - Yeah, I'm glad I'm figuring this out now too. In August I started tanning at the salon and had to stop because I got a huge allergic reaction to what I presume was the hemp in my lotion and broke out in to a huge rash. I'm so nervous and stressed that it will happen again (right before my wedding of course, Murphy's law lol) so I'm taking as many precautions as I can. I made sure the lotion I got tonight had a) no hemp and no bronzer haha. I got an Australian Gold tanning accelerator, so far so good.
  16. Amanda - Yeah, I did buy it from the salon...a few days ago. I wonder if they would do that for me, I have a feeling they wouldn't though. Worth a shot I guess!

  18. Wow, what is wrong with some people? This would make me totally irate, so good on you for your amazing self-control. I'm not a bridezilla but I AM opinionated, so if it were me, I would totally tell someone in my family to back the hell off of that idea or she's getting univited. That is just plain rude and completely insensitive to you and your feelings!
  19. Hmmm, interesting responses girls! I think I might run out at lunch and get a different lotion, though I'm pissed I wasted money on the one I'm using right now. KimmyG, I wish she would have told me that and not the opposite! lol
  20. Thanks for your thoughts ladies, I appreciate it! I thought I had rubbed them off with the towel pretty good tonight but they still stained. I will definitely try out the wet naps and washing asap afterward. That lemon juice scrub is a great idea, I'll try it too.
  21. Awwwwwwwwwwww that's so adorable!! I'm ashamed to admit that I pestered quite a bit too, but I was still surprised when it happened.

Uneven eyeliner, old mascara that made my lashes stick together, etc. It looked really bad. However they did not charge me for it. I am in the process of writing a review on IB del Mar and Grand. Anna Thanks for your honesty Anna, I really appreciate it! The more I consider this, the more I think I might just do my own. I was thinking about going down to MAC or Sephora sometime soon and get them to give me a bridal makeup look and then buy the products and do my own. Do you think this is a good idea? To any brides who have gotten their makeup done at El Spa, did you provide the makeup artist (I'm using that term loosely here lol) with an inspiration pic or a general idea of what you wanted with a picture in hand? Just curious what these ladies had to go on. Thanks again for your honesty, it's so helpful!!
  23. My sister threw me a shower last weekend, here's a quick list of what was there: - Spinach dip & bread - Bruschetta - Ceasar salad and a spinach salad with strawberries and goat cheese - I don't know what these are called but it's some sort of pastry pocket she makes that has cheese, red peppers and brocolli in it, it's very good - Black forest cupcakes (black forest cake is my favorite, that's why she did this) and raspberry cupcakes
  24. Where did you order this stuff from? Maybe it's stuck at customs? I've ordered a few things before (like my wedding shoes) that got held up in customs I think. It took my shoes forever to come in! Good luck!!
