  1. I'm sorry to hear that your experience was less than stellar! On the plus side, you looked so amazingly beautiful and you're married now!! Thanks for the very honest review, I'm sure future ROR brides will appreciate it regardless!
  2. I hear you!!! I don't know wtf is wrong with me lately either! Ever since I got my wisdom teeth out in Oct and sat on my butt for a week eating like crap, I have been just plain lazy. Luckily I've only gained 3 lbs, but still, I feel it's unacceptable as I was losing 1 lb per week before that. Don't get discouraged!! You still have enough time before your wedding to lose weight if you really commit to it. I know this isn't an option for a lot of ladies in this economy, but if you can, get a PT. I've had one for almost a year and it makes losing weight so much more bearable. In the very least, see a nutritionist or someone that can help you come up with an eating plan that you can stick to and that works for you. We can do it!! I plan on losing another 20 lbs this year, so if you ever need someone to talk to or lean on, give me a shout or pm me!!
  3. Great pics! You looked so lovely, thanks for sharing!!
  4. Aw boo, I hate it when people post pics on TripAdvisor that AREN'T of the resort. Anyhoo, I looked at some pics of MP and it looks gorgeous!!
  5. That is incredibly rude...I'd be tempted to un-invite her if she's going to be that way...but that's just me lol. I hope you get everything worked out, I doubt you picked a "boring" resort. All resorts are amazing and fun in their own ways, so that's really subjective. Has she even ever been to MP??

  7. Amanda, you look so gorgeous! Congrats on your big day, Mrs.!!! I looooooooooooove your bouquet!
  8. Bumping an oldie but goodie, hope that's ok. Let's see YOU vs the model girls!!
  9. If I were a potential guest, I certainly wouldn't mind an e-vite. My cousin is having an AHR similar to what you're doing this summer, I think it'll be a ton of fun!
  10. Wow, 30 kids?!?! Anyhoo, we booked at a child-friendly resort as my FI's two nephews (3 y/o and 1 y/o) will be coming. I couldn't exactly say no since it's immediate family. I would have liked to have booked at an adults only AI though. Oh well...
  11. Anna, Thanks for the video info! You looked stunning, I'm so glad they did a good job on your hair, it gives me hope that they won't screw mine up lol. I have a question for you about the resort, did they have any sort of 24 hour snack bar/lounge kind of thing? My FI and I like to stay up pretty late, so we were wondering if there'd be a place open in the wee hours to go grab a bite.
  12. Haha, I agree. The movie was decent enough but they should have had more details that were in the book...oh well. I finished reading Eclipse and Breaking Dawn a few weeks ago. Eclipse is awesome, so soap-opera-ish haha. The entire series is so great...and so addictive. I read Midnight Sun too, soooooo good...I actually prefer reading from Edward's perspective rather than Bella's. I hope Stephenie Meyer finishes it someday.
  13. Aw thanks Michelle, you're the best...seriously!! That makes me feel a lot better, I just wish they would be more hopeful in their emails. faithers - That's weird, up until this week, they have been excellent at corresponding with me via email. Well, come to think of it, now is probably their busier wedding season as it's the dead of winter here in Canada and a lot of couples go away to get married. I would send another email. If you want to call them instead, I heard that a good time to catch them is around 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. before the weddings for the day start. Good luck!!
  14. oooh, I'll add my inspiration pics when I dump them in to my photobucket account on Monday!
  15. Bridget - thank you!! Yes, it is a Maggie Sottero, style name is "Carla".
  16. Ugh! I'm so freakin' irritated with the Iberostar Beach/Del Mar WCs today. I sent Gabriela (who I have been corresponding with consistently since I secured my wedding date) an email yesterday with several questions pertaining to wedding day protocol in regards to my photographer (who is NOT the resort photographer) about day passes, when should I buy the day passes, will someone at the counter direct the photog to the wedding, etc. I also asked about the max number of people you can have at your reception dinner before you have to set the menu (I wanted people to be able to order from the menu so they can all have a meal that they will for sure enjoy, instead of having me guess). So I get a reply back, but I'm positive that it is from Reyna Ake (not Gabriela Palacios) giving me the 2009 Iberostar wedding package PDF document. She already gave me this in an email last month. None of the information provided in the PDFs she sent me answer my very specific questions. WTF!! I sent her a stern email back asking when they were planning on answering my questions as those documents have nothing to do with what I asked. I haven't heard anything back yet but I'm just so damn irritated. My wedding is in 3 weeks for crying out loud, now is NOT the time to ignore my questions. Sorry, just had to rant. Michelle, how did you coordinate everything with your photographer on your wedding day at the Lindo? Thanks in advance!

I guess I'll have to think on it some more, I do love how it looks with the bustle up though. I would shorten the train except that I'm already paying $300 to get the bust fixed and the bustle made, so that brings my total dress cost to $1,900. It's starting to hurt my wallet a little lol.
  18. Hey girls! I've been mulling over this in my head for the last few days and have decided to seek your wise opinions on the subject. My dress, which is not classified specifically as a "destination" wedding dress, has a rather long train. I think the train would be lovely for a church wedding but I'm not sure I'm comfortable having it down for a destination wedding ceremony, like it's too formal. I was thinking I may just keep it bustled the entire day (including the ceremony). If I do this, then I won't have to worry about my mom or step-dad accidentally stepping on it when we walk down the aisle too, which is a nice bonus lol. I don't know, what would or have you done in this situation? I've included pics to help you guys see what I mean. Dress with train down: Dress with bustle:
  19. Congrats! Can't wait to read your review and see your pics!!
