Congrats Andrea & Tobi! Time sure is flying for the rest of us Feb 09 gals! I feel like I'm losing my mind, I just KNOW I'm going to forget something and that thought terrifies me lol.

I vote for #3 or #5!! I think you did a great job!

I had my wedding band custom made by the same fellow that made my engagement ring that my FI commissioned him to do. My e-ring was $3,200 CAD, and my custom wedding band was $1,600. My FI's titanium band (which we got at Metalsmiths hehe) was $94. He's not big on wearing rings so there was no point in him spending a lot on something he's not very in to. Sadly, my dress cost as much as my ring. lol

Hehe thanks girls, I'm really excited!!! And apparently as confused as ever of what to do with my hair lol oh well!

Well, it's about that time ladies! FI and I leave for Mexico in exactly one week from today. I just want to say thank you to everyone here who has been so kind and helpful over the last six months, you are all truly amazing! This thread won't be as detailed as other gals' threads have been in the past because I tried to keep my wedding as simple as possible. I did not do any DIY stuff at all. In fact, I didn't even send out invitations...our parents told whoever they thought would like to come to tag along if they wish to do so. It was kind of an open-invitation I guess you could say. Without further adieu, here's my stuff! saltocoach - actually I'm having the wedding at the garden gazebo at the resort hehe I know my screen name can be deceiving lol sorry about that. Yeah, I plan to test my look out when I get to the resort to see how it looks in the day light. My lips look a little pale in that pic, I might replace that lipstick with a pinkier shimmery gloss.

I can provide what I know about the Iberostar via my experiences with them. Good idea!!

Ryan's girl - Hehe thanks! I'm feeling good but burnt out for sure! I think/hope everything is in order. All of the important stuff is in order as far as I know and I have re-confirmed everything with my wc and my photographer. Everything else is up to me I guess. I still haven't decided on a hairdo and that's worrying me. :/ How's everything coming along on your end? It'll be your day in no time!

Hmm, sounds like you girls are having trouble communicating with Gabriela...that's too bad. I think she has a hard time with English to be honest...there were a few instances where I asked my TA's co-worker to call her up and ask her my questions in Spanish to make sure that Gabriela knew what it was that I was asking about. It seemed to help. Sorry you ladies are having trouble!

I'll be wearing Maggie Sottero for my wedding (Carla specifically). I purchased it locally for $1,300 before alterations. The price tag is steep but I think it's gorgeous. If you love the dress, I say go for it!!

I really, really, really want to do my planning thread so badly but have been putting it off since I don't have my own camera, we're getting one tonight though so yay! 27. I would do anything for my best friends. 28. My sisters and I aren't as close as I wish we were but we're getting better as we get older. 29. I hate posers, just be yourself already! 30. I have a body built for athleticism but I'm no good at sports lol. I want my FI to teach me to play ball this summer though...should be interesting. 31. I have a bad case of road-rage which I completely blame on genetics (my dad loses his mind when's driving). I'll even have road-rage when I'm NOT driving lol, it's awful. 32. No offence to any ladies here with kids of their own but I cannot stand going to a store and hearing a child scream their heads off while their parents don't even tell them to be quiet. Not everyone wants to hear your kid spaz out, ok?!?! >.< 33. FI and I don't want kids and we're not sure if we ever will want them, we're quite happy with the way things are right now. 34. And on that note, I love other people's kids and I love spoiling my nephews and giving them back hehe 35. I've had one of my email addresses since I was 10...and I still use it lol. 36. I hate shallow people. It's not always about the clothes, the cars, or the money...geez. 37. I have dyed my hair very blonde, very black, and very red before. I must say I found out that I really do prefer my natural color of brown, but blonde is a close second, it's just too expensive to maintain. 38. I never look the same in all of my pictures, it's weird. 39. I very rarely wear makeup or get dolled up, so when I do, people don't recognize me lol. 40. I used to wear glasses since I was 10 years old up until January 2008 when I got Lasik and I still can't believe how awesome it is. Best money spent...ever!

Oooh fun! Here's' mine! 1. When I was a baby, I was bald until I was two, now I have more hair than either of my sisters...ha! 2. This is going to sound insane but...I have some weird clairvoyance or something, I don't know how to describe this. Often (this happens so often that it HAS to be more than a mere coincidence) I'll ask someone about something or someone specific, and then later that day, the person or thing that I was asking about will be brought up by someone else who had no idea that I even mentioned it at all. It's freaky and it happens to me all the time! Here's an example of what I mean: the other week, I asked my FI if his brother had gotten his immunizations for the trip yet, a few hours later, I get an email from FI saying that his brother was wondering how to get a hold of the travel clinic so he could get his immunizations done...freaky right?!?! 3. I loathe working out and will pretty much use any excuse I can on FI to convince him not to make me go to the gym on any given night (he's my gym police since I don't have any discipline lol), yes, that includes ummm, physical stuff haha...which IS technically a workout, am I right? lol 4. I played classical piano for 8 years and my teacher used to make me take conservatory exams (which I hated) but I love classical music and know a lot of stuff about composers. 5. My mom calls me "extreme Kathy" since I'm either all the way into something or not in to it at all...there is no happy medium with me haha. 6. I don't talk to my dad...at all. I haven't spoken to him in almost ten years and have no plans to start now. He knows what he did and yes, it is THAT bad. 7. My best gal friend is my FI's soon-to-be ex sister-in-law. He's also still good friends with her but there is a lot of drama with his brother and the whole divorce thing happening between them right now. I hope it doesn't ruin my wedding day. 8. I am terrified of death and dying. I go to funerals out of respect for the dead but I hate going to them and they make me really sad for many weeks afterward. 9. I have a yellow rose tattoo on my right shoulder and I got it when I was 16. My mom is awesome and signed for me to get it. It is my all-time favorite flower. 10. I am really in to video games. I'm the dorkiest girl-gamer ever and FI and I usually have daily conversations about upcoming video games that we're stoked about lol. 11. I can have an entire conversation using only Simpsons and Family Guy quotes, some find it hilarious and others think it's really nerdy and annoying lol. 12. I am a self-taught flutist and I played in a marching band for a number of years. 13. Some of my closest friends are people I met in online video games, maybe I'll get to meet up with them someday haha. 14. My FMIL really doesn't like me lol I mean REALLY. I don't know why but she'll take a swipe at me with her biting remarks any chance she can get. I've tried to talk to her about this before but she just pretends she didn't hear me say anything about it and starts talking about something else entirely lol. 15. I have two sisters, two step-brothers, and a half-brother. I've only met my half-brother once and it was because we met my dad for lunch, which is also the last time I saw or spoke to my dad. I hope that one day I can get in touch with my brother because I want to be a part of his life, but now is not the right time unfortunately. I don't even know if he knows that he has sisters. 16. I live in Canada but I hate winter, I hate everything about it, the cold, the snow, the bleak grey sky. 17. I don't know what I would do without my mom and I tell her often that we're just going to live forever so I won't have to worry about not having her! lol It's a nice delusion. 18. I believe that Canada's judicial system is flawed in many ways but I don't have any suggestions to improve it that would make everyone happy. 19. I could subsist on Kraft Dinner forever if I had to, I love that stuff...especially with clamato juice (yes I'm strange lol). 20. I was the only girl at my high school grad to wear a black dress. I didn't want black because it was goth but because it is truly one of my favorite colors to wear and if I would, my wedding dress would probably be black too lol. 21. I've dated some real "winners" back in the day. My step-dad nicknamed one of them "Lurch" (cause he really did look like Lurch from the Adam's Family)...lol 22. I saw Pirates of the Carribean 3 probably about eight times in the movie theater haha. 23. FI and I usually see a movie in the theater at least once a week, sometimes more. 24. I love fast food, but it doesn't love me back lol. 25. I have a personal trainer, he's worth the money but I am so sore all the damn time because of the crazy things he has me do
