Yes, I was married on Feb 19/09 and I still whore this forum like a complete addict many times a day. I like to try and help my fellow Iberostar gals with any questions I might have answers to.
  2. Great review Ana, you looked soooooooooooooooooo stunning!!! You were such a beautiful bride and I'm glad that mostly everything went as planned (minus the dress) but thank goodness Juan Carlos kept it all in perspective for you. I know I would have totally lost it if that happened to me and it almost did (I knew my clumsy yet lovable step dad would step on it and he did...he didn't rip it though, thankfully...and this was with the bustle up...don't ask me how but he found a way lol). Congrats on finally being a Mrs. best wishes to you and your DH!!!
  3. Wow, really great ideas ladies! Honestly I have no clue what to do with mine as well. I'm kind of in the same spot as Carly...it has yet to be cleaned and is hanging in my basement (under the stairs technically) in its garment bag. It's kind of sad to see it that way but what the heck else am I going to do with it? I was/still am considering selling it to recoup some of the costs (the darn thing WAS $1,300 before alterations after all!!) but I still haven't made a firm decision on that. And yeah, dry cleaning is downright expensive! It's bad enough us brides get hosed on the cost of the dress but the drycleaners want to hose you too! I called a dry cleaning place and the base quote for any bridal dress was $165 and then extra if it has a train, or is silk/satin/whatever, extra if it has lace, extra if it has beading, yada yada yada...ugh it just makes me so stinkin' mad! lol /rant off Anyhoo, I love your ideas Seaprincess! Very creative, especially the cocktail dress/christening gown...I love it. When my mom divorced my dad, she kept her first wedding dress and cut it up and sewed it in to a first communion gown for my sisters and I, I thought that was pretty creative as well!
  4. Carla, Welcome back and congrats!! Can't wait to hear all about your big day!!
  5. Count me in for wanting more books, girls! I guess I'll just have to re-read the series for now. I agree, I hope that the New Moon movie is better than Twilight (although I didn't mind the Twilight movie, I also feel they left wayyyy too much out). Have you ladies seen the actor they've cast as Caius?? http://movies.yahoo.com/photos/celeb...w-moon#photo20 Not how I pictured him in my head but then again, I'm not complaining about this fellow either haha.
  6. Just wanted to say I LOVE that dress, it is soooo gorgeous. A girl I know is getting married in that exact dress!
  7. Thanks for the review! Your pictures are stunning and you looked gorgeous! I especially love your bouquet and chuppah (the colors look so amazing together!). Congrats again!!
  8. jwalkowiak - Thanks for the heads up, I had no idea! I emailed Gabriela last Thursday regarding my apostille and she got back to me on Sunday saying that they would be sending it to us in a few days but I am really apprehensive now. I've only dealt with Reyna once in the past and she left a bad taste in my mouth but I will try her again and see if she is more helpful this time. Thanks again!

Sorry, just wanted to jump in and ask you what you mean by "promotion". Did Gabriela get a promotion and is no longer doing wedding stuff for the Beach/Del Mar? This makes me nervous as I am anxiously awaiting my apostille (should be any day now...) and I'm concerned that this may affect if/when I get it (if ever...sigh). Please let me know. Thanks!
  10. I wear my wedding band below my e-ring also (closest to my heart). This is how I see most people wearing them.

My DH usually keeps me in line on my non-cheat days since he knows I have little self-control lol so it sounds like maybe you have sort of the same deal with your FI where you have to justify stuff haha (not that that's a bad thing, I beg DH to keep me in line haha). But yes, definitely at least once a week you should spoil yourself so you don't fall off the deep end and binge. Kristina - Oh I hear ya! It's not so awful that I'm willing to give up cheat day haha, it's just something I'd prefer to deal with in the name of my sanity!
  12. Hi there! I do one cheat day per week and still manage to lose weight. I think you will be fine...infact you might find that after eating so clean for six days of the week that after you "cheat" on your cheat day you might not feel so hot lol (I don't usually after) because your body isn't used to bad food anymore. My PT actually insists I have on cheat day a week because it "surprises" the body and will in turn force your metabolism to work harder to burn that food because it isn't used to having it anymore. Does this make any sense? lol It makes sense when I think about it. Good luck!
  13. Welcome back Kristin! I'm so looking forward to seeing your pics and reading your review. Congrats!!!!

  16. Morgan, I haven't really given thought to what I would do if/when DH and I have kids although I know for a fact that DH feels very negatively towards Catholicism, so that would be ruled out...for us it would probably be easier to let our kids decide for themselves what they want to do (if anything at all). I can speak from personal experience that my mom used to force my two sisters and I to attend mass with her regularly until I was about 14 and my then 16 year old sister told her that she didn't think it was necessary to force us to go to mass anymore and that we're spiritual in our own ways. My mom was totally pissed at us for a while but I do feel like it is a personal choice that shouldn't be forced upon anyone one way or another. So I guess I am for the "let them decide for themselves" option.
  17. We had 16 guests with us for the first week and about half of that for our second week (including my ILs). I really wish that DH and I had switched resorts or something for the second week but when we decided we wanted to do that, it was already too late. I'm hoping that he and I can spend some alone time together this summer on our vacation (I keep bugging him to take me to Banff or Jasper but it's a tough sell haha) or hopefully next February for our first anniversary. I enjoyed having everyone at the resort with us but by the second week I just wanted to be alone...
  18. As the ladies have already said, there is Coco Bongo's (I went there when I was in RM for my wedding two months ago...you can find my review of Coco Bongo in my wedding review) and there's also Senor Frogs and a bunch of other places whose names I can't remember right now. Good luck!
  19. Woo hoo, I love them both Aimee!! And high five to my fellow Maggie bride!
  20. jlj1176 - I have the spa price list spreadsheet saved on my pc. If you want, you can pm me for more info and I will gladly assist you.

Plus I really enjoyed eating a little more! I just wanted to expand on this and say that if you are getting too few calories in the course of your day AND working out then your body is definitely taking those few calories it is getting them and storing them as fat. Basically your body would be in starvation mode at this point so any time you feed your body, it's going to want to retain what food it can get because it isn't sure when you might feed it again (which is also why eating 5-6 consistent meals/day is so important too, it keeps your metabolism running at full speed!). Last year I lost 20 lbs and all I did was sit down with my PT and come up with a balanced meal plan that worked for me. I believe he told me to consume approx 1800 cal/day. That's not to say it was 1800 calories of just anything, it was mostly a good balance of protein, fat, and carbs. Now that I'm in much better shape than I was a year ago, I've noticed that my body consumes carbs quickly and therefore I become hungry again about 5 minutes after eating them...not good! So as of this week I'm trying an eating plan of mostly a balance between protein and fat with carbs only before and after workouts and I must say I am feeling much more satiated and my carb cravings have pretty much disappeared (thank God because I can be so ravenous haha). All I can say is don't give up, the body and weightloss are very fascinating things and what works for one person may not work for another. Everyone's metabolisms process and respond to foods differently. You might find people who CAN feel full and satisfied from having a higher carb consumption and those of us (like me, sadly) that really should just stay away from them. I would recommend looking in to doing some "metabolic typing". My PT has done this and he swears by it (he is in phenomenal shape too), though he has told me that it can be somewhat on the expensive side. Yikes, sorry for the long post but I hope it helps. I wish you the best of luck hun!!
  22. Sorry, off topic again but Morgan I love that you changed your title to "soon2b bucknaked diva" lmao
