  1. Congrats and welcome, you will find that this forum is a WEALTH of information! Good luck!
  2. Wow! I'm totally jealous! I would have loved an upgrade! I've heard that the beds on the Maya/Lindo side are far more comfortable than the Beach/Del Mar side beds (not that it would take much, it's like sleeping on a boulder haha). So does that mean any May brides who wanted to use the garden gazebo as their ceremony site can no longer do so? That's kind of a bummer!!

He just can't leave the office alone because he's worried everyone will screw everything up while he's away lol. It can be totally annoying.
  4. I love #1, beautiful and elegant yet simple and won't outdo your dress.
  5. Woo hoo, looking hot there lady!! I love the ones with the glasses and tie, very cute! Your FI will LOVE these!
  6. Hehehe, that looked like a ton of fun!!! Thanks for sharing these!!

Yeah! Woo hoo! Congrats! You will love him, he's a super nice and super talented guy! You MUST post your pics when he gets them to you, I would love to see them!
  8. Looks like you had a blast, thanks for sharing!! Love the cake!
  9. Welcome back and congrats on your big day! You looked lovely and your bouquet is beautiful, love it!
  10. Thanks for sharing your review and congrats on your wedding! You looked gorgeous and I really loved your bm dresses, the color really popped!

Thanks for sharing your pics btw!! Aw thanks!! I agree, other than the ceremony (generally), most girls keep their dresses bussled anyhow! After the first time I tried this dress on, I knew it was the one I wanted, but I didn't get emotional or anything (neither did my mom who was there with me at the time). It was just logical for me to get it. The color looked great on my skin tone, the cut completely flattered my body, and it was simple yet elegant with just enough lace/beading to keep it interesting. I never got the tell-tale "feeling" in my gut though, like I said, it was logical for me. It was the only dress that I tried on (of at least 20 +) that made me feel completely beautiful and so excited to wear it every time I looked at it. I knew I made the right choice, I just wish that it wasn't so expensive hehe. Good luck finding yours and be sure to show us a bunch of pics when you do!

Really? That IS interesting! I had no idea, thanks for the heads up!
  13. Hey there! My dress had a fairly large train. I opted to keep the train and just leave it bussled the entire wedding. I was pretty happy with the outcome and I don't regret not wearing the train down for the wedding. Do whatever you're most comfortable with! Here are some pics of my dress with and without the bussle to help you get an idea: Train Bussle on wedding day

The article that was written about my fiancee and I was in hopes that others would see that they weren't alone. We figured there must be a ton of other couples, families and friends in the same predicament and maybe people could help eachother. As it turns out there are more cynics out there than I thought. However, a wedding must go on right? Jamie and I received an offer from a local golf and country club who wanted to help us out and throw our wedding, since some of our friends including some of our bridal parties had to use their vacations, and the fact that we didn't book our wedding through the resort so we couldn't just go somewhere else, we decided it was a great idea. We are looking at a May 20th wedding date and we are so excited! Sometimes even when the cards aren't in your favour, things turn out the way they were meant to be. Wow! Thanks so much for coming over to BDW to let us know how you are doing! I'm so glad everything is going to work out for you and your FI after all. You must be so excited/happy! It's really unfortunate that there are so many cynics out there, I agree. Of course, it's easy to pass judgement on others when they've never been through this. I'm glad you're taking it with a grain of salt. I'll be wishing you a terrific wedding day on May 20!! Congrats again!
  15. Congrats and glad to hear that it worked out despite all the craziness surrounding the H1N1 stuff!
  16. Congrats on your wedding day! I'm glad to hear that it worked out after all!
  17. Savannah - lol I guess we all have problems of some sort after all! hehe I'd still prefer to have a long body/short legs though.
  18. Thanks Amanda! If it weren't for the lack of funds, I'd be there in a heartbeat! I'll totally have to take you up on that one day
  19. Melissa - That is a touching reason for your tattoo, love the meaning! Jenn - Love both of your tattoos! I got a yellow rose on my shoulder since it's my favorite flower. I would love a little something on my lower back but DH is kind of against me getting more...not that I really give a crap since it's my body but I want him to be ok with it still. I love the meaning of the shoulder tattoo you have. That's beautiful. Ok, so I totally remembered that in this wedding pic, you can see my tattoo (not very well though). Enjoy!
  20. Thanks ladies!! I still love looking at all the wedding pics...does that ever stop? Haha probably not!
  21. I agree with the girls, I think changing the width of the band will be a lot more flattering! Glad it seems like it worked out after all!
  22. Lisaloo - will do! I was thinking about getting it touched up since it's fading, so maybe I'll post a pic after that.
