I'm also very curious to hear the answer to this question, I was wondering the same thing!
  2. Aimee - Dallas Marie is a gorgeous dress, I'm sure you have no regrets choosing it! I love drooling over the new designs, I wish I could just marry my DH every year so I'd have an excuse to wear a bunch of different Maggie dresses haha.
  3. I agree with the girls, I think the age doesn't matter so much as the maturity. If you're ready and you think you can handle it then I say go for it! DH's parents got married when his mom was 17 and his dad was 21 and they're still together and in their 50s now. Aimee - I didn't know you are already legally married, congrats!

  6. Lisa - haha, I agree! Shane looked disapointed for sure, poor guy!! Carly - Great minds, great minds I think my two faves this season are Vitolio & Kayla...I hope they get paired up eventually! I agree, usually the slow dances bore me but I really enjoyed that waltz, not as much as Twitch and Kherrington's waltz (I think that's what it was) last year choreographed by Jean-Marc, but close! Poor Vitolio though, when he was tearing up, I started to tear up for God's sakes! lol For him to persevere despite everything he's been through in his life is just downright inspiring, good for him! I just want to hug him! haha Scott-Pierre - OMG, wtf was Lil C's problem? Clearly he's not an authority on Tango, so he should have kept his mouth shut. As a judge, I generally like Lil C and I think he's pretty nice and honest in his critiques. I was also very glad when they had Tony Meredith clear up the bended-knees issue. Yeah, wtf was up with Asuka telling Vitolio that he wasn't attractive, talk about harsh! And for the record, I think he is a very handsome young fellow!
  7. Nikki - lol sorry!! I couldn't resist sharing that with you ladies, they're so beautiful!!!
  8. Amanda - I'm just as bad as you lol, I've just finally changed my name on all of my work stuff as well as my blue cross and Alberta Health Care crap. I still haven't done my bank stuff or driver's license yet lol. It's just so overwhelming...blah!! lol
  9. I'm so sorry for your loss I totally understand what you mean by everything you said. DH's grandma is in the exact same situation right now.
  10. Maybride2009 - Love your dress and I don't think you have much further to go to fit that dress perfectly, keep up the good work!! Did you ladies notice the new Maggies are on the web site? As usual, they are totally gorgeous! Check em out!! Search the entire collection of Maggie Sottero wedding gowns
  11. Carly - Yay, I'm not the only one who finds that there's just something (I can't quite put my finger on) about Caitlyn that just totally bugs me!! Here's my quick take on tonight's performances: Top of the Pack (for me): Melissa & Ade - Wow!!! I adore Sonya's choreography and Melissa and Ade totally rocked it out on their jazz routine, it was awesome! Brandon & Jeanette - They owned that disco, that was the most fun and exciting disco I have ever watched on this show and it didn't feel extremely cheesy like they sometimes do. I loved this! Vitollio & Asuka - What a beautiful waltz! Vitollio is adorable and I thought he did a great job, so did Asuka but there's something about her that bugs me too...not in the same way that Caitlyn bugs me but still a little weird. Asuka is a great dancer though. Max & Kayla - They were so in character, which was terrific! She's probably my favorite girl this season, she is a great dancer. I loved their jazz routine and I thought Max really played the part well. Middle of the pack for me: Jonathan & Karla - I thought (personally) that Jonathan looked a little shaky at the beginning of the dance but by the end he seemed to be over it. It was beautifully choreographed and I thought Karla outdanced Jonathan...I couldn't take my eyes off of her. Evan & Randi - Really fun, high energy jive. I thought they did a great job tonight but they could be outshone by all of the other great performances...despite this, I don't think they're in danger this week. The judges seemed to enjoy it. People Who Could Be In Trouble: Jason & Caitlyn - Ok I was so stoked to see Shane Sparks back this year, he was noticeably absent last year and I was so bummed about it! Anyhoo, I thought these two did ok with the hiphop but like Carly said, Caitlyn seemed soft or something...personally I thought she was cheesing it up a bit and found it pretty annoying. Jason tried hard and I think he did a good job with the moves but yeah, these two could be in trouble tomorrow. Phillip & Jeanine - I thought Jeanine looked great doing the tango tonight but Phillip definitely looked nervous. I could tell he was trying hard and I thought he got the character right, so that was good. The judges weren't loving it so I'm pretty sure they'll be in the bottom tomorrow night. I hope they stick around though. Kupono & Ashley - Another Shane Sparks hiphop. Personally, I enjoyed it on an entertainment level but like the judges said, it was out of sync and it was "underwhelming". I think they will be in the bottom tomorrow night but I hope they stick around too since I think Kupono is a good dancer and so is Ashley. Keeping my fingers crossed!! What did you girls think about everything?
  12. Hey everyone! I just started reading the House of Night series by P.C. & Kristin Cast. Has anyone else read or heard of these? They're probably aimed at the teen crowd but whatever lol. I'm on the first book called "Marked" and the sixth book in the series is being released this October. It's pretty good, it's about a vampyre (that's how they spell it in the book) finishing school, which is a cute idea. Thoughts, anyone?
  13. Which is one of the main reasons I refused to have a beach wedding. People are just plain disrespectful. I took some of my pics down at the beach and I have this crazy woman with her legs spread all funny (clothed in a one-piece bathing suit thank GOD) in the background of one of my pics, every time people see that pic they say "wtf?" and I say "I know, I know, some weird crazy lady with her legs spread" lol.
  14. ebredhawk - wow, those tattoos are awesome! Ugh, I am dying for another tattoo but it freaks my DH out lol...omg I wish DH would get one, there's something so sexy about a guy with a well-placed tattoo hehe.
  15. GAIL!!! YAY!!! So nice to hear from you! I'm glad you had a nice wedding despite Reyna's mess ups...I can't believe they STILL messed up the arch after you gave her specific instructions, wtf? Congrats to you and your DH on being married!! Can't wait for you to post your big fancy review and all your pics. Del Sol photography does amazing work, so I am totally stoked to go through all of you amazing pics! *big hugs*

I am in Edmonton too and I am looking to get a band designed for my ring. Where did you get your earrings from? and your shoes? Hey, glad I could give you some inspiration! I had my wedding band designed by a fellow named Hal Shugg. He works through Ben Moss Jewellers though he is not part of them. If you go to any of the Ben Moss stores in Edmonton and talk to the staff there and let them know that you would like a consultation with Hal so that you can design a wedding band, they will gladly give you the info. He goes to various Ben Moss locations on different dates to do consultations, so they will also let you know when he will be at a Ben Moss that is the most convenient location for you. My DH also had my engagement ring made by Hal so I figured he would be the best person to get a custom band from. I hope that helps. I got my earings from NOVICA - Home Decor, Jewelry & Gifts by Talented Artisans Worldwide they were made by a woman in India named Nailinee. The website is awesome, they have some really gorgeous jewellery on it, here is the link to the earrings: NOVICA - Pearl and quartz earrings, 'A Spell of Pink' I ordered my shoes on ebay but you can google them and a number of online retailers sell them. I can't remember then name of them off the top of my head but I will get back to you on that asap. Ok found em! They're Touch-Ups "Logan" and mine were in silver but you can also get them in a dyeable white from what I understand.
  17. Bess - Personally, I wouldn't sweat it. You're two weeks out from the big day and I think the last thing you need to worry about is reprinting your programs. Most people probably won't even notice or care. Just my $0.02 though.
  18. Thanks for the review! Sounds like you had an awesome time at the Grand Palladium. I was there 3 years ago for a wedding and it was awesome, especially the late night quesedillas at the 24 hr beach bar Your pics are beautiful and you looked gorgeous! Congrats on your big day!!
  19. Lisa - Hey no worries! I hardly did any planning for my wedding at all, I pretty much let the resort take care of everything except for the photography (I hired a photographer rather than using the resort's since I wasn't happy with the quality of their work). I agree, it is weird knowing that you're going to be married in six months and you have next to nothing to worry about as far as planning goes but it all works out in the end!
  20. Great review and pics, thanks so much for sharing! You were a gorgeous bride, congrats!!!
  21. Wow, everything looks awesome!! Can't wait to hear all about your big day and see all of your pics!! Congrats!!
  22. Great detailed review, thanks for sharing!! Congrats on your big day, everything looked awesome and I love your flowers!!
  23. Bess - Ahh that sucks! Wish I could answer your question about refunds but I have no idea how that gets worked out with the Iberostar. Hope everything else is coming along nicely with your wedding!
  24. Christy - I had the vanilla cake at my wedding and I personally found it a bit bland. Cake wasn't very important to me, so I wasn't pissed off or anything but if cake taste is important to you then I would not recommend going with vanilla. As far as I know, these are the flavor options: vanilla, chocolate, strawberry cheesecake (I hear the cheesecake tastes amazing!). Hope that helps!
