  1. Erika, sorry I'm so late on this but I just wanted to tell you that you did a great job and those invites look amazing!
  2. Aimee - If my dress didn't cost me $1,300, I would have considered it but I don't think it would have worked well to trash a satin dress...it's heavy after all. I would trash the Dallas Marie if I were you. It is a lightweight dress and like you said it didn't cost an arm and a leg. If you're comfortable with it I say go for it. Personally I think your TTD pics would look amazing in your dress!
  3. Yeah, I'm bummed! I didn't expect any of those couples to make the bottom 3 tonight! I loved all the guys so I don't know how they ever decided between them, same with the girls!
  4. Wow those pics are so stunning Jamie!!! Elizabeth did a fantastic job and you were gorgeous!! I love that parrot pic!
  5. Stay-C: The resort that I had my wedding at said that they do not require a legal marriage in your home country to have a symbolic ceremony at their resort. I looked in to this because I was having so much trouble getting a straight answer on the civil ceremony paperwork requirements. I also considered getting married secretly and letting my guests be none-the-wiser however, everything worked out for me in the end and I didn't need to do anything in secrecy.
  6. It is my understanding that some resorts do not require you to be legally married prior to having a symbolic ceremony at the resort. I hope this helps, best of luck to you and your FI!

Kathy - you must have been busy last night! There's no re-cap. I will attempt a condensed version. Janette & Brandon - Great Cha-Cha! Her facial expressions are a little over the top for me but I think they did a great job! This routine was spot on technically and really entertaining! Caitlyn & Jason - Weird as hell Brian Freedman contemporary jazz alien thing. I actually thought they did a good job with this dance. I'm afraid they will be in the bottom 3 (and I don't know how much longer they can hold on there) because people don't get the routine and/or because the costumes sucked. Even Nigel said it was distracting and he didn't like the "tin foil" Melissa & Ade - Beautiful Pas de Deux! I was so excited to see classical ballet on pointe! I don't think Ade was perfect but he faked it and it looked great! And ballet is really hard! Kupono & Kayla - Gothic Contemporary. I LOVED this one. Sonja is so stange and creative and her stuff is so much fun to watch. Wardrobe really did a good job with this one. Kupono did his best performance of the season. I am cheering my gay boyfriend on! Kayla is a fantastic dancer but she is a little irritating to me. Randi & Evan - Broadway. I thought the choreography was great but there was something lacking. I don't even know if it was that or that the other routines were just that much better. It reminded me of the first episode where there really wasn't a bad routine! I'm saying bottom 3. Phillip & Jeanine - Nappy Tabs (ha!) Hip Hop. These two are safe for sure. It was a great performance and they have a fan following. I liked it though I thought Jeanine was a little too exaggerated in some of her popping. It looks so natural for Phillip and it felt forced with her. I also agree with Mia that the chain kind of had a presence of its own and it was hard not to focus on in. I kept waiting for them to trip! Karla & Vitolio - The kiss of death Quickstep. These two really pulled it off! It was a fun routine to watch and I loved the quick change at the beginning. I think these two might be in the bottom because they don't have as big of a following and Vitolio has had some inconsistent performances/solos. I will be sad to see anyone go home tonight. I'm glad I DVRed so I could FF through the Dizzy Feet and Katie Holmes bits. I mean it's a great cause but I just wanted to see dancing! This is a really fun blog from a guy who was in the audience: Aliens, ballet and quick step on ?SYTYCD?- msnbc.com haha Erin you totally busted me, I was just about to give my write up! I was so tired last night after getting whipped by my personal trainer that I just honestly didn't have the energy to do it last night but I was going to today. No need now though, you just said everything that I would have. I 100% agree with your comments but I would like to add that I think there is a slight possibility that Melissa and Ade might be in the bottom 3 but only because (as beautiful as ballet is) some people won't "get" their routine or may find it "boring" (I enjoyed it though!). I had to laugh when Nigel said Caitlyn looked like a condom, that was too funny!! I honestly don't want to see anyone leave tonight, they were all outstanding last night!
  8. Aw thanks Ginalyn!!! I do adore my pics haha! Now if I could just find the time to put them in some frames in the house I would be set!

BTW- we added the extra flowers to the arch and my step mom and aunt added the extra white toile (sp?) to fill it in. The arch at the Lindo is awesome and has cut outs of starfish, etc. but you can't use it at the del Mar. Amanda - Sascha did a fantastic job with your pictures, they look amazing!!! I loved your arch and your bouquet and you looked so beautiful. Congrats!! Can't wait to see the rest!!
  10. Wow that's awesome, congrats on a great deal!!!!!!!!
  11. Wow, your wedding looked amazing! My cousin got married at that exact resort in January and I thought that it looked awesome then too! You seemed to have recovered so gracefully from the swine-ful fallout, so kudos to you on that. I love your pictures and everything looked so well-planned. Congrats!!
  12. wow, you put a ton of work in to your wedding!!! Everything looks totally amazing! Congrats to you and your DH and I cannot wait to see your pro pics!
  13. I know I said this already but this vote is going to be so tough!!
  14. Hey there! Sorry I'm a little late on this but I thought I'd pop in and explain why DH chose a black shirt for our wedding rather than white (which he initially planned on wearing). He WAS going to wear a white shirt for the wedding but decided it was too see-through (which made him uncomfortable) so he switched to the black one, well he asked me first but I told him to do what he felt most comfortable with. In the end, I am happy he went with black...he stood out in the pictures (his one brother wore white and his other brother had a patterned shirt) AND white didn't match my dress anyway, so may as well have gone with black. My dress color was called "pearl" so it definitely wasn't a traditionally white gown. As far as bouts go, DH was dead against wearing one altogether, so I conceded and let him win that one haha I think he looked fine without it though, so again it is a matter of personal choice/preference.
  15. Ginalyn - I was totally blog-stalking Sascha today and I saw some of your pics, they are gorgeous!! I love them!!! Congrats by the way!
  16. Gail - I love your siggy pic!! Don't tease us for too long, can't wait to see the pics and read your review!!!
  17. All the girls I want to nominate are nominated, it's going to be a tough vote this month! Good luck to all!
  18. Rachel - wtf, DWTS is so lame compared to SYTYCD!!! I can't believe they could even put those in the same category for comparison!!! At least SYTYCD doesn't feature washed up athletes/actors/whatever ATTEMPTING to dance...these kids actually ARE talented and so much more fun to watch, imo!
