  1. MarieSam - I also loved your second pair!! Maybe it's because I have a thing for red shoes but those are hot!!! Your first pair was really pretty but yeah, I can't believe for that kind of $ they weren't comfy at all! I'm glad you were able to return them!
  2. Lisa - I'm so glad to hear that you and your FI are ALREADY experiencing so much success with this and feeling better...that's huge! I will admit that the toughest part is the first three weeks and the low carb days but you get used to it after a while. My favorite days (other than cheat day obviously lol) is the low gi/gl day. It pretty much allows you to have a nice mix of fat/protein/carbs and I feel satisfied with the food I eat on those particular days. You're probably having more BMs because of all the veggies (as you said) which is probably more fibre than you're used to getting before you started...that's ok though! I will also say that I plan and prepare all of my lunches/snacks for work for the week every Sunday afternoon after I go grocery shopping. This is a huge help. Once you get in the habit of preparing all of your food in advance, you are much less likely to "boredom eat" or graze in your kitchen if you know what I mean. The best part is, it usually takes me less than an hour to make all of my lunches for the week. You're welcome about the protein shakes btw, did you go to Costco already?
  3. Great post, thanks for sharing...it will definitely help all future Iberostar brides. Although this doesn't affect me anymore (as I got married already lol) I do want to question this: Quote: Originally Posted by LDeeken Resort YES you are allowed to stay at one of the other resorts (Maya/Lindo/Grand) and still get married at the Del Mar/Beach. We have decided to stay at the Lindo because it will give us access to more, but it is right next to the Del Mar/Beach. If you stay at another resort but your wedding party is staying at the Del Mar/Beach it is possible for them to come to your room to get ready before the wedding. Reyna will just need to get approval from the other resort's manager. Your guest staying at the Del Mar/Beach will be given dinner coupons for the a la carte restaurants depending on the number of nights they stay (7=3 coupons, 6,5,4 = 2 coupons, 3 or less = 1 coupon). You guests will have to use a coupon for the rehearsal dinner or a welcome dinner if you have one. They will not need to use one for the wedding because you have paid for them with your package. If your guests do want to visit the Maya/Lindo/Grand properties they would need to buy a day pass in order to use their facilities and restaurants. I'm not sure I believe Reyna about this unless they changed their policy recently. Last November (2008 ), Beachbride08 (Michelle) was supposed to be married at the Iberostar Lindo gazebo above the wave pool. Upon her arrival, she discovered that the wave pool gazebo did not meet her expectations (chipped paint, etc) so she asked if she could have her wedding at the Beach/Del Mar gazebo. They informed her that they were unable to accommodate that as those amenities are for guests staying at that resort only...they were able to compromise and she was able to hold her wedding at the gazebo at the shopping centre (which looked awesome btw ). Also I think it says on their website (I'd have to double check but it used to anyway) that brides can only use the wedding locations specific to the resort they are staying at (with exception of the Grand I believe since those guests pretty much have access to stay in. I'm not saying any of this to discredit what you said but I am saying it/questioning it because that hasn't been their policy in the past and I'm curious. Please let me know what you think of this. Thanks!!
  4. I agree Geralyn, same goes for my Iberostar thread ladies THEM!!!

Also pretty much everyone on this forum, I'm sorry but it would be impossible to pick just one as a "favorite" I have about a million favorites here
  6. Nadine - Ade & Melissa were sent home last week
  7. Lisa - that's a good point your FI made, why else would they do it really? lol Makes perfect sense!

I really emphasized that I wanted bright pink bougainvillea covering the whole arch with Reyna, however on the day of the wedding, they showed up with only a few bougainvillea arrangements on the arch. Thankfully Charlie was there and told them that it was supposed to be fully covered, so they quickly scrambled to cover the whole thing. It looked absolutely stunning! They had different shades of pink bougainvillea, which looked even better than what I asked for (just bright pink). I didn’t want to get too fancy with my requests since we were in Mexico, so I just asked for bouquets & arrangements with roses. I asked for 2 arrangements of bright pink roses with no greenery on the gazebo columns, but I got even better arrangements that what I asked for. The arrangements had roses, bougainvillea and gerbera daisies that looked gorgeous! They also put down lots of rose petals just like I asked! I saw some pictures with rose petals during our meeting with Reyna, and I told them I wanted twice as many and they complied. The flowers really added a lot to the gazebo, and I’m so happy with how it turned out! Glad my review was able to help you with your wedding! I agree, your arch looked amazing!!! You entire wedding looked amazing to be perfectly honest! Congrats again! P.S. Is it awful that I'm still really disappointed with how my arch turned out? I'm just so glad I'm able to help future brides have the wedding of their dreams.
  9. I wore my e-ring on my right hand up to and during the ceremony until DH put my wedding band on during the ceremony, then immediately after the ring exchange, I put my e-ring above my wedding band. I've always heard that wedding band stays closest to your heart (and this is how I wear them) but I know that some girls prefer to have their band above their e-ring. Either way is fine, it's a matter of personal preference really.

My parents divorced when I was 2 years old because my dad cheated on my mom and had the gall to ask my mom if he could invite his mistress over for dinner...WHO does that?!?! Ugh, pathetic.
  11. Congrats Desiree, hope you have an amazing day!!!

  13. Well that sounds counterproductive! lol
  14. I didn't know we were allowed to steal points?
  15. Thanks for giving a very honest review Kristy, I'm really sorry to hear that she wasn't behaving very professionally...I think that's awful!
  16. don't feel bad Karla, I haven't been to the gym or done my diet at all this week back on track next week for me though!
  17. Agreed, I'm still hoping for a Jeanine or Brandon win...keeping my fingers crossed!
  18. Those aisle runners are beautiful but I totally agree, you could definitely DIY this for much cheaper than what that site is charging. Wishing you the best of luck with this project, can't wait to see how it turns out!
