  1. oh btw, I agree, the Erin Featherstone and Lela Rose ones are gorgeous too!! Wtf was up with that one abstract drawing though? lol
  2. it's not perverted to have a GREAT imagination ladies, just saying! hahaha
  3. Well they're definitely light reading, that's for sure. I can't really compare them to the Twilight series, because for me, I feel like the stories are totally different from each other. I really enjoy this series though, despite the dialogue haha. Rachel - Ugh, the end of the second book had me tearing up too! That was just heart-wrenching! I'm half-way through book 4...interesting stuff going on! I don't particularly care for the spelling of vampyre vs vampire. Vampire looks better to me lol. The Anita Blake series is on my list of books to read next, along with the Vampire Chronicles...I'm excited! Also, not vampire related, but I'm very excited to start reading The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong some time soon. I think it's about a teenage girl who can raise the dead (aka zombies), sounds neat. Amanda - You're welcome You'll probably enjoy the HoN series as fluff like I do lol
  4. holy moly Lisaloo, that was indepth! Here are some of my thoughts on your cheat day/weigh in review: - Do your best NOT to plan out your entire cheat day (I know you couldn't help it because you were so excited hehe). In the book, he says not to do that because it could lead to overeating that day. - I never weigh myself the day AFTER a cheat day. It won't be an accurate reading as you will most likely have temporarily gained weight due to all the carbs and sugar and you probably retain a lot of water from getting more salt than you're used to during the rest of the week. I can guarantee that if I weighed myself the day after a cheat day, I would likely weigh 2 lbs heavier than my weigh-in weight due to all the factors I just mentioned. - I agree, order smaller versions of things. I find that most food that I'm not used to having anymore either tastes too sweet or too salty on cheat day so if I order something that's too big, I usually get grossed out by it and waste it by throwing it away. - Because you eat so clean during the week, you will likely get a stomach ache or worse (like diarrhea, sorry to be so graphic) from eating on your cheat day since your body isn't used to all that bad food anymore. I had two slice of French toast on my cheat day this week with syrup and cool whip. Guess what that did to me? lol It wasn't pretty. I recommend keeping Tums handy on cheat days and maybe eat a bit more slowly and enjoy your food...savor it and give yourself time to digest. I ate my breakfast way too fast and ended up paying for it lol. Lesson learned! Lisaloo, did you find foods too salty or sweet? Curious what your take is on this.
  5. SPOILER ALERT! - Fashion Designers Sketch Bella's Wedding Dress - The Twilight Saga - Celebrity - In Style Has anyone seen this? A few big name designers decided to sketch designs of their vision of what Bella's wedding dress would look like. Kinda neat! My favorite is the Monique Lhuillier dress, that's what I pictured when I was reading the books!!
  6. Dunno if you're reading this thread still Erin but I wanted to let you know I'm almost done the 4th book and will be starting the 5th book probably tomorrow. This series gets soooo good further along as the story and the characters develop. If you can get past all the teenager-ish dialogue (but it IS a book about teen vampyres after all lol so it's to be expected), they're quite entertaining.
  7. Thanks Lisaloo!! Can't wait to hear all about your first cheat day and weigh-in!
  8. I read the whole thing too and I just want to give JM the biggest hug! That is by far the CUTEST thing I have ever read!! And how freaky are all those dreams, you two are meant to be together!!! Wishing you all the best of luck!!!
  9. Finzup - hey congrats on the loss, you are doing fantastic! Sounds like you have amazing will power too!! Lisaloo - how'd the cheat day/weigh in go? I lost 1 lb this past week which I'm pretty happy about considering I hardly exercised lol. I'm starting training again this week so I'm sure I'll probably start losing even more weight every week...or put on weight if I gain muscle (which is fine). Guess I'll see how it goes.
  10. Coug - awww 10 lbs will come off easily once you start the diet, I wouldn't be surprised if you lost it in the first week of the priming phase even! You should start while T is away, there will definitely be less temptation that way.
  11. hehe, fun to see this thread being bumped! Now that I can officially give my $0.02, I will! After we got home from a 2 week stay at the Iberostar, I had gained about 5 lbs...not too shabby. But I got really lazy from then until about May, so in actuality, I probably gained like 15 lbs before I finally started to buckle down and diet/exercise again. I've lost 8 lbs of that already so now I'm just 7 lbs away from what I was before the wedding lol.
  12. Finzup - woot! Congrats on the loss so far!! Jill - aw thanks!!! Steph - omg I LOVE corn dogs, so jealous of your cheat day right now haha So yeah, I decided I'm not having cheese as my a.m. snack anymore since it facks up my stomach really bad and makes me feel like crap. I'm replacing it with a protein shake, hopefully that'll be better. I didn't really feel like the cheese had enough protein in it for me anyway so I'm sure this will be a good solution to that.
  13. Lisaloo - hehe cute story! My ILs (as I mentioned in another thread) are down this weekend and they always eat like crap and it can be tough when I'm dieting to be around them, thank goodness I have a cheat day this saturday so I don't have to die inside when I see them eating yummy stuff! lol Jkcz - ahh that's awesome, congrats! I really miss fruit too, that's my only issue!
  14. Lisa (jetsbride) - 6 lbs? That's awesome, congrats!! Glad you're finding it easy, too! Lisaloo - haha well you'll have to let me know on sunday about it!
  15. Jannae - mmm cookies and cream, glad it's yummy!! I'll have to try it out some time! And congrats on the loss so far!! I weigh myself sometimes before cheat day too because I can't help myself lol. Lisa - yeah, pretty soon you get very used to eating really clean and you find that you don't even miss most junk food anymore, or at least that's how I am. I notice when I eat junk food on cheat day, although I love it, I find like most of it tastes either too sweet or too salty and I think that's because I get really used to eating clean food without a lot of sugar or salt so by cheat day it's a bit shocking to me haha. KWIM?
  16. Lisa - I guess haha I'm probably just irritated because my ILs are coming down this weekend and it's affecting me in other ways? I guess?
  17. holy crap dude, I'm just glad you're ok! That's scary!
  18. I confess I'm in a really weird mood this week and lots of little shit is bumming me out. Wtf is wrong with me? And hell no, I'm NOT pregnant...Coug! lol
  19. But you also have to include in the calories in and calories out theory that everyone's basal metabloic rate is different. So say my basal metabolic rate is 1500 cals/day and I only eat 100 cals/day then I would still be burning 500 cals a day by doing nothing. I'm just pointing out that most people aren't going to exercise 1000 + calories every single day and basal metabolic rates (the rate at which a body burns calories at rest) is part of the equation too. I agree with the rest of what you said though!

I think what's bothering me is that the way it's sitting on your waist seems to be "cutting you in half" if you know what I mean? I think it is giving the illusion of shortening your torso. Dress 1 and 3 do not make you look short in the torso, I think they're so beautiful and flattering on you!
  21. Dress 3 is my favorite and dress 1 is my second favorite! I think the ruching is particularly flattering too. There's something about the way that dress 2 fits/looks that is bothering me but I can't quite put my finger on what exactly it is about it. Anyway, good luck...they are beautiful dresses!!
