  1. Congrats Tammy! You have such an adorable puppy!!!
  2. yay, I'm so glad you chose the Maggie, it is so stunning AND flattering on you! I love that you're adding a strap, I think that it will turn out great...keep us posted!
  3. Thanks Ginalyn & Kelly! I can totally take a pic of the scale right now but it'll be totally different than my saturday morning weigh-in # and I don't want to skew the results of the contest. That's my worry. I forgot to take a pic of my scale but I can tell you my starting weight from this past saturday's weigh-in and email you pics of my scale from now on. I don't lose weight quickly so it's not like I'm really a strong contender to win or anything I just want to do this for motivation and support. Anyhoo, please let me know what you think!
  4. woop woop, happy belated wedding day Foxybride!!! I feel like I've been waiting FOREVER for you to get married! Can't wait to hear all about it!

I think that's a good sign. I don't know how it works with nutrition stores in the US, but here, I just went to a Popeye's near my place and asked for a sample of that flavor so I don't just drop $90 on something that I don't know I'm going to like. I love that they do that for people!

I was pretty hungry after dinner and was actually looking forward to the protein shake (I know, weird). I'm definitely looking forward to moving on from Low Carb week, even though I'm only on the second day of it! I find figuring out lunch to be difficult. How is everyone doing today? You're welcome Kristy! Optimum Nutrition is a good brand too, for sure! I usually will have a chicken breast or tuna (with miracle whip & green onions) for lunch on low carb day. Pretty boring but cheap and simple.
  7. Since I effed up this week I can't participate...lol I'm retarded. Am I ok if I send you mine next wednesday?
  8. Kristy - That sounds pretty good for your first day at it, keep up the good work! Also, if you're buying a protein powder to mix with water (as I do) then I highly recommend All Max Isoflex protein powder in Peanutbutter Chocolate flavor. It is surprisingly delicious (for a protein powder anyway lol).
  9. finzup - I go 5x/week after work, usually around 6 p.m. or so. I'm not going to lie, most days it is super hard for me to be motivated to go or get in to my gym clothes. I know exactly how you feel. Last spring I was going at 5:30 a.m. before I got ready for work so that I wouldn't have to do it when I got home in the evening but for me, I just find it easier/more convenient to go after work even though I hate it. Can you work out in your home? There are a ton of great exercises that don't require equipment as long as you have enough space.

He did all this after being up for more than 26 hours straight. awwwwwwww that is by far one of the sweetest things I have ever heard Erika, what a great guy!
  11. Aww I heart this thread, everyone's DH/FI sounds awesome! Jenn - he did such a great job with that cake...wow! Ok, so here's my submission: I played the piano from the time I was 8 until I was 16. I quit at 16 because, being a teenager, I had "more important" things to do with my time lol. So for the last few years, I've really begun to miss playing and would often mention to my husband that I wished I could afford a piano so I could play again. Well last week he surprised me by telling me that he was going to pay for 2/3 of a piano for me, "just cause"! I love this man! He really could tell how much this would mean to me, it was just so touching. I have my piano now and it is my SECOND love after my DH. It makes me so happy to be playing again!
  12. I agree with Nadine, I love your freckles and I wouldn't want to cover them up but that's just me. Other than that, I think she did a fantastic job, it's very natural looking and not too heavy for you...beautiful!!!
  13. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERIKA!!!! Hope you have a great day!!!
  14. lol d'oh! I forgot to take a pic of my scale on saturday for the weigh-in. I suck, now I have to figure out what to do about this.
  15. Hi there, Mrs. <name removed>! Welcome around!

  17. Lisaloo - thanks, that's what I figure too Finzup - Congrats, you're doing so well with the diet! That's awesome!
  18. Lisaloo - yay on the weight loss AND on the house, that's super exciting! Happy cheat day! Jill - You've made amazing progress in the priming phase, huge congrats to you!!! I didn't lose any weight this week but I didn't gain any either so I should be thankful lol. I think what's happening is that I'm gaining a lot of muscle since I started lifting weights again that any weight I might have lost during the week is being replaced by muscle. Not that I'm complaining since the more muscle you have, the more calories your body burns at rest. I just wish I did let the scale mind f*ck me like it always does
  19. Honestly, I think if you are in LOOOOOVEEEE with the pink version of that dress, then by all means, go for it! It's your day and you should wear the dress that you love and makes you feel amazing.
  20. Hey there, I'm in Edmonton but thought I'd poke my head in here!
  21. I voted for #2, Cairo. While I think that both dresses are gorgeous on you, I think you look happier in your pick of you wearing Cairo and I love that there's more drama to that dress...it is VERY eye-catching! Good luck!
