  1. hahaha everyone's pics are awesome! Love it! Ginalyn that picture is just ADORABLE!
  2. Jill - sorry to hear about the gain, you might be like me and your body just doesn't process carbs very well. I noticed for myself, that whenever I do anything BUT low carb days, I gain. It sucks but you might be in the same boat as me. I managed to lose .6 lbs this week, woot! I'm now down 10 lbs officially since starting this diet!!
  3. koolatta - House of Night is a young adult book series about a Vampyre (that's how they spell it in the book) finishing school in Tulsa. I like it, the dialogue is very teeny-bopper but they are easy reads and entertaining. I think there's 6 or 7 books out in the series now and the next one is due out at the end of October. I enjoyed the Twilight series, it was an easy read also.
  4. I voted for #2 because I feel like the bright pink sash has a more "island/tropical" feel to it if that makes any sense...besides, you don't want to have your stuff the same as your cousin's wedding from the 90s I'm sure. Good luck!

  6. yay, so fun! I'll put up my DPH pic until I can find one from when I was a kid! I heart Yael's Sarah Palin costume hehe.
  7. Aw thanks everyone! I was surprised to even be nominated much less voted as Mrs. MotM, I am so honored, thank you!! Huge congrats to Heather too, she's awesome!!
  8. Hope this is the right part of the forum for this! Apparently Sunwing and Signature vacations have merged. I'm not sure what this means for anyone who has booked through either of these providers but I thought it might be helpful for B2Bs to know this. Consumers should expect more choice and lower prices as travel operators merge - Yahoo! Canada Travel
  9. Just got these in an email and couldn't resist sharing them with brides and the married ladies of BDW, enjoy! Kathy ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Marriage (Part I ) Typical macho man married typical good-looking lady, and after the wedding, he laid down the following rules: 'I'll be home when I want, if I want and at what time I want -- and I don't expect any hassle from you. I expect a great dinner to be on the table unless I tell you that I won't be home for dinner. I'll go hunting, fishing, boozing, and card-playing when I want with my old buddies, and don't you give me a hard time about it. Those are my rules. Any comments?' His new bride said: 'No, that's fine with me. Just understand that there will be sex here at seven o'clock every night...whether you're here or not.' (DARN SHE'S GOOD!) ************************************************ Marriage (Part II) Husband and wife had a bitter quarrel on the day of their 40th wedding anniversary! The husband yells, 'When you die, I'm getting you a headstone that reads, 'Here Lies My Wife -- Cold As Ever'!' 'Yeah?' she replies. 'When you die, I'm getting you a headstone that reads, 'Here Lies My Husband -- Stiff At Last'!' (HE ASKED FOR IT!) ***************************************** Marriage (Part III) Husband (a doctor) and his wife are having a fight at the breakfast table. Husband gets up in a rage and says, 'And you are no good in bed either,' and storms out of the house. After some time he realizes he was nasty and decides to make amends and rings her up. She comes to the phone after many rings, and the irritated husband says, 'What took you so long to answer to the phone?' She says, 'I was in bed.' 'In bed this early, doing what?' 'Getting a second opinion!' (YEP, HE HAD THAT COMING, TOO!) ***************************************** Marriage (Part IV) A man has six children and is very proud of his achievement. He is so proud of himself, that he starts calling his wife,' Mother of Six' in spite of her objections. One night, they go to a party. The man decides that it IS time to go home and wants to find out if his wife is ready to leave as well. He shouts at the top of his voice, 'Shall we go home Mother of Six?' His wife, irritated by her husband's lack of discretion, shouts right back, 'Any time you're ready, Father of Four..' (RIGHT ON, LADY!) ***************************************** THE SILENT TREATMENT A man and his wife were having some problems at home and were giving each other the silent treatment. Suddenly the man realized that the next day he would need his wife to wake him at 5:00 AM for an early morning business flight. Not wanting to be the first to break the silence (and LOSE), he wrote on a piece of paper,'Please wake me at 5:00 AM.' He left it where he knew she would find it. The next morning the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00 AM and he had missed his flight. Furious, he was about to go to see why his wife hadn't wakened him when he noticed a piece of paper by the bed. The paper said, 'It is 5:00 AM. Wake up.' (MEN ARE JUST NOT EQUIPPED FOR THESE KINDS OF CONTESTS!)
  10. I also meant to say in my other post that I LOOOOOOVED your petal aisle, that looks so gorgeous in all of your pics!
  11. yay for your planning thread finally being posted Yael! It's so detailed, no wonder it took you so long! Love everything, especially your dress/shoes/necklace!
  12. Great BD pics, your FI is going to love them! I especially love your little polka dot outfit, too cute!
  13. I voted for #1 as well, not only is it absolutely gorgeous (love the beading detail) but I think it is much more flattering on you than dress #2. Good luck!
  14. I think if you're getting your hair done at the spa, you can basically expect to pay at least $100 USD or a little bit more than that...I think mine cost $120 USD. Sorry to hear they're not being consistent with their pricing, that sucks!
  15. I agree Erin, I really hope that Natalie tries again...I like her!

  17. They won't accept Canadian currency as payment. US dollars and Pesos only. I'd say keep a decent amount of both of those currencies on hand though you will probably get more bang for your buck if you use pesos. The Canadian exchange rate to Pesos right now is $1 CDN = $12.63 MXN. Here's a great currency converter site: XE - Universal Currency Converter
  18. Autmn - aw, that's awesome!!! I'm totally jealous!! Erin - Yay, I heart Adam! That's fantastic news! I hope that ballet guy from (Miami I think) who tried out last season but wasn't chosen for the top 20 because he was still under contract with his ballet company decides to audition again (if he's allowed to this time). I think he'd be amazing on the show!
  19. Love your OOT bags, especially the "oh shit kit!"! Too cute! By the way, you are going to have a BLAST at the Grand Palladium Riviera Maya...I was there 4 years ago, it's a fantastic resort!

Aw, I don't want to not like Bill though, I think I'm in mourning haha. I'm all over the place with these triangles...like with Twilight, sometimes I'm pro Jacob and then I'm pro Edward, I'm pretty neutral about those two hehe Blah!
