  1. Place Cards front back Table Numbers and sea glass. The sea glass went on the tables. Wedding Programs- they hung from the chairs Maid of Honor Gift, Hanky Panky Maid of Honor underwear, custom made earrings (to match a necklace I had made for her a year ago), and bath gel & spray. "Friend of Honor" gifts, Anthropologie candle, bath gel and spray, photobooks from Snapfish Ceremony fans, mini seahorse attached to the handle Monogram That's it!
  2. More of the invitation Pre-wedding mailing. I sent out a brochure, directions to Playa Fiesta, luggage tags, and photoshare website instruction cards. Everything was printed on Vista Print. Hair Flower and Earrings by Mikiye Creations (Etsy designer) OOT Bags- Mexican Market Bags, ordered from directfrommexico.com. I love them! OOT Bag Contents- bottle opener, first aid kit, sunscreen, sudoku for dummies. We also created "rescue me" kits that included advil, immodium, a nail file, sunscreen, pepto, and purrell wipes. Koozies for OOT Bag. We also attached a tag that said "to have, to hold, to keep your beer cold." Our OOT Bags also included beach towels and a "Meet the Guests" Book. Shot glasses and salt shakers. We gave these out as a favor at our Welcome Dinner. More to come!
  3. I actually just got back from my wedding, but I ran out of time to post this thread before I left. I found BDW after selecting my wedding site (Playa Fiesta in Puerto Vallarta), but I know it would have made my life a million time easier if I would have found BDW earlier in the process. This site gave me so many wonderful ideas about how to make my wedding special. I am so grateful to everyone for sharing their ideas, templates, support, etc. I'd like to return the favor and post my planning thread. Here it goes! Anyone work out the differences between PF and an AI place (both for guests and for wedding pkg prices?)? I'm working on that right now. For those who married @ PF & have been on other vacations--how does it compare to an all-inclusive resort like RIU or Dreams?? Thanks ladies!! Funny that you mention the RIU. We got married at PF on 5/1 and honeymooned at the RIU. We totally missed PF once we got to the RIU. The main difference is personal service and atmosphere. The RIU is much more "vegas." PF is comfortable and beautiful and you feel like you are at home, except home is a gorgeous villa on the Pacific Ocean. I've also been to Dreams Los Cabos, and we loved it, but if you are just comparing the RIU to PF, I prefer PF.
  5. Hi Ladies, I'm here to offer support! I just got back from my wedding in Puerto Vallarta, and there is NO FLU THERE!!! If it's possible for you, I want to encourage everyone NOT to cancel their weddings! Mexico is beautiful and safe and I'm heartbroken for brides and also the Mexican people. This thing is absolutely blown astronomically out of proportion. I hate it for everyone. Trust me, I just got back, and there is nothing at all to worry about. Period.

It seems to be an expensive expense for them to fly out to our wedding and then pay for room and board. I'm so confused and don't know what to do. Our other option is the Casamagna Marriott, but their prices for the reception are little out of our price range. They really don't offer much as far as decorations unless we want to shell out the extra money to dress it up. Is or has everyone had any problems with their guests and the hotel prices? I think that is our major concern in making our final decision. Ok, take a deep breath. I totally have been where you are at with stress. We did have some guests express concern with the price, but I'm pretty sure at this point they would all say it was worth it. They all had the best time and kept telling me how happy they were with PF and our decision to have our wedding there. Most people won't understand how great the place is until the day they arrive, and then they will be blown away. We did have a few guests who couldn't make the minimum night commitment, so they just stayed elsewhere and hung out with us at PF most nights. It wasn't a big deal. I would suggest taking a informal consensus with your friends and family to see if they think they'd be able to make the minimum night (not sure what your's is) commitment. If you can make it work with your guests you absolutely must have your wedding here. My new DH and I are still floating on air. We are so happy. Our wedding was perfect!!! It's hard to explain, but Lindsay made sure every detail was perfect. I'll try to write my review this weekend.
  8. Hi Everyone! I haven't read through this whole thread, but I did just get back from Puerto Vallarta. I was in Mexico while all of the hysteria was going on. We had 4 guests cancel, but I feel lucky that was it. I want to let everyone know that Mexico is safe, gorgeous, and fun as always. I am so sad that the media has sensationalized this flu to the point of hysteria. It's so awful that girls are canceling weddings and the Mexican economy is suffering so severely. We had such a wonderful time there... it was hard to even imagine what in the hell was going on with the media around the world. It's simply ridiculous!!! It makes my angry because it seems like so many people are suffering due to the hysteria.
  9. Just got back and it was the wedding of our dreams! So perfect!!! More tomorrow.

Did this prove to be pricey for the BBQ's and buffets? It sounds like someone said that open bar is included with the room fee. is that correct? I'll be patiently (not really...I'll be stalking this thread) for your answers. Thanks!!! Did you get your info?
  12. My book came in the mail! It's a beautiful, thick bound book. The pages are really thick, not at all like a snapfish or shutterfly book. It's sooooo nice! I'm going to give it to FI this weekend right before we leave. Ha! Just kidding!!!
  13. Aw, you look BEAUTIFUL!!! These are so classy and pretty. I agree, a BD shoot is so much fun! To anyone who's reluctant, do it!

I'm sure my package would be different than what's available to you now. Try to be patient. I know it's so hard! PF is the best!!! I am so happy to be leaving in 4 days for my wedding here. Feel free to stalk this thread, but get your $$$ quotes from Adam and Lindsay. We are hosting 2 dinners and there are packages that do include open bar. We did get the open bar.
  15. DON'T TAN! My photog told me not to, and the pics looked fine. I was sooo pale in real life, but the pics looked good.
  16. So much detail! Your personalities will shine through with everything you've done. Congrats!
