My fellow May 2009ers, I'm a little emabrrased but I really need help figuring out how to upload a ticker. I've tried about 100 times in the "edit sig" section. Every time I try, I get an invalid file msg. I've tried copying and pasting the URL from various ticker sites many, many times. Of course, this makes me want a freaking ticker even more. Can anyone help me?!

I do have it! My mom elected to purchase the insurance. I don't know the details of the policy, though.

Hi Girls! I am also a May bride- May 1 at Playa Fiesta in Puerto Vallarta. This thread has been motivating. I've taken care of all the major items, but now I need to start working on the OOT bags, welcome letters, etc. I'm in the process of designing my invites. I think I am going to send them out in Jan for a March 1st RSVP date. I'm also going to have people RSVP on my website. The RSVP cards are giving me difficulty because I'm not sure how much info to put on them. Do I list events or just direct everyone to the website? In the end I don't think it will matter that much. My FI has a lot of friends that will wait to the last minute to book their rooms. I'm just hoping they will figure it out in the beginning of the year. This is what I have done: -Booked hotel (we have 20 rooms blocked & 16 rooms are booked). -Bought dress -Bought MoH dress (no bridesmaids, just my sister for Moh) -Booked Photog -Resort books DJ, cake maker, flowers, etc. -Booked minister -sent STD's -working on invites -Bought OOT bags -Bought a few items for OOT bags I look forward to counting down to May with you!

I hear you all too! So far, it's airfares that are killing me. The west coast to PVR is about $400 to $500, which isn't so bad. But I live in Atlanta and flights are $820 right now. I have no idea why this route became sooooo expensive, so I'm just hoping and praying prices come down. Kate, I'm don't know where you were transfered to in NC, but everyone I know in Atlanta loves Ashville!!!

Did you do a full takeover? We only reserved 20 rooms and we have 16 booked so far, so I guess that is pretty good. I just feel bad for my FI because they are all my friends! I have a friend possibly staying in a condo as well, but she has 8 weddings to go to next year, so I'm just happy she's even coming to mine. You are totally right about hotwire & other travel sights... They make it hard, but I am also so excited to be getting married at PF. Lindsay is awesome and I can't even imagine what some of the other girls go through when they can't get a hold of their WC. I feel so well taken care of at PF!

Lindsay is having Michelle Turner take new pics of PF, so I might just use a pic on the RSVP instead of listing events. We have people that think they will save money by staying at another hotel, but once you add in the day passes and taxi fare, I think it's a wash. Now to just get them to realize that...! I just realized you two (Kate & kleslie) are both getting married in Jan. How exciting!

Welcome! I lived in SD for nine years and I've been gone for almost two years. I miss it soooo much! Don't ever leave.

Have you hooked up with anyone to show you the villas? I would call Jennifer at Casa Bay Villas. I'm getting married at Playa Fiesta, so of course I would recommend going there as well to meet Lindsay and Adam. If you want to venture a bit north, Sayulita is a wonderful town to check out as well! I'm not sure what you have in mind, but there are certainly many wonderful directions you can go in!

Hi Girls, I am working on my invitations right now, and I'm looking for some advice. My invite designer wants to list events on the back of the RSVP card. Did any of you do this? I know the guests staying at PF will obviously be there for the Welcome Dinner, Rehearsal Dinner, Brunch etc. I will also have guests who will be staying elsewhere and I would like to know when they will be arriving and what dinners they will be attending. However, they will also need to purchase these items items on their own. We paid for the D&E package #1 for the PF guests, but we aren't paying for it for people staying elsewhere. Please let me know how you handled this. Thanks!!!

Are the exercises you guys are talking about called calf raises? That's what I call them and I'm just wondering if we are talking about the same thing. I use Bliss products too and I also have the rubber massage-thingy! I think the massage is the key and the cream is a bonus.

Great question! I am having a buffet as well and I'm wondering the same thing. Hopefully more girls with chime in with their thoughts.

This thread has been refreshing for me. Now I know I am not the only one dealing with these issues. To be fair, most of my friends have been so supportive and sweet- same with our parents. I don't think we will have too many other family members there (aunts, uncles, etc not on board), but a lot of my parents friends have been wonderful and want to come. A few of my FI's friends have said hurtful things, and they are the exact people we thought would jump on board right away! It's weird to watch everything unfold and to see the people we thought would be most supportive moan and complain. I am not worried though, because the people that want to be there will be there, and everything is going to be fabulous!
