My brother made a good point thou... the main aspects that we were looking for in a resort is a great room, peaceful location, nice beach and bars. We are going to be doing tons of activities while we are there, so we need a nice peaceful place to relax and drink Where you planning on switching to another location? I did decide to switch to the Riu Palace Pacifico. It took a little weight off my shoulders. It had a few small features I like, like a swim up bar and umbrellas at the pool- silly stuff for sure. I think Deams VM will be beautiful and I'm sure you will have a lovely wedding. The rooms are supposed to be gorgeous and the grounds are too. Dreams Resorts have an excellent rep, and I do think they are just working out the kinks. This is back to topic about T.A. I read a review of the Riu two days ago that had me in stiches from laughing. The title was "Honeymoon Ruined!" I was shocked and read on. Why was the honeymoon ruined? The entire review was based on two things; 1. One night they had to bathe with bubble bath gel because they was no soap. They called the front desk and it took a few hours for the soap to arrive. 2. They received a plate of chocolate covered strawberries, but it said "Happy Anniversary" instead of mentioning the honeymoon. The couple went to management and complained because of the mistake. These two things "ruined" their honeymoon. You can find this review on TA under the Riu Palace Pacifico. This is the kind of review I would completely ignore. It was comical! Some people will be upset no matter what- you just can't make them happy. This is a clear cut case of Abbie's "vacationers." Ridiculous! P.S. If anyone from BDW wrote this review, I apologize if I offended you. -
Cindy, I'm excited for you! It will be just like the pics- a wonderful place to unwind in a spectaculary beautiful setting. I have one more piece of advise I forgot to give you. If you go into Sayulita for dinner, you will have to get a cab back to PE fairly early, like 10:00 or 11:00. After that, cab service stops. It's one of the joys of a small town. As for myself, I changed my honemoon reso yesterday from Dreams Villamagna to Riu Palace Pacifico. I know that Dreams will be fab sometime soon, but most people that stayed there had some valid issues. The Riu is already operating at full speed and seems to be pretty awesome! I just want to lay under an umbrella and drink cocktails all day. I think it will be perfect. Smith, I'd love to hear about the places your TA recommends! Oh, ladies I have to share one review I read on Trip Advisor. I apologize if anyone on this forum wrote it, but it had me in stiches. The title of the review was, "Honeymoon Ruined." Why was it ruined? Because they had to bathe with bubble bath one night instead of soap. It took a few hours for the staff to bring soap to the room. Also, the plate of chocolate covered strawberries said "Happy Anniversary" on it instead of something about the honeymoon. These two things ruined their entire trip!!!

My ticker is freaking me out! My wedding date is May 1, but we leave on April 26th, so I'm at the very, very beginning of May! Casey, I just realized that you've been nominated member of the month. You totally deserve it!!! I just saw Donnie Brown on "Whose Wedding is it anyway" and it totally made me think on you!!!!

If I was you, I'd probably want to go to a smaller hotel after getting married at Dreams. These are some options for you: 1. Casa de Mita in Punta Mita (recommended earlier in this thread & it looks amazing!!!) 2. Villa Amor in Sayulita- Sayulita is a really fun little town. 3. Playa Escondida- rustic but beautiful, outside of Sayulita 4. Playa Fiesta- they might have a wedding while you are there, so you might be over weddings by then. This is where I'm getting married, but I've read awesome reviews from guests who were not associated with a wedding party. 5. Grand Velas in Nuevo looks amazing, but $$$ 6. 4 Seasons in Punta Mita, also $$$ 7. We were going to do the Dreams Villamagna in NV, but I'm over the bad reviews, so now I'm try to change our reso to the Riu Palace, which looks amazing- but IMHO it will be a lot like Dreams PV. 8. Last suggestion is to find a nice place in Zihuantanejo. I think it's a couple of hours away by car. Hope this gives you a lot of good ideas!

I'm also in the minority here, but I would never invite a single friend without giving him/her the option to bring a guest. I think it's RUDE to ask a friend to travel thousands of miles and pay thousands of dollars without letting them bring a guest & travel companion. Most of my single friends did opt to come alone and room together, but they definitely have the option to bring someone. Cindy, your situation with the villa is differnet.

Would this be too tacky?

Hi! I just bought this video too. BD pics on 3/13. I ran 4 miles outside, then did level 1 with 2 pound weights. I ran 2 miles this morning, and I'm going to do level 1 again with 3 pound weights tonight. I didn't think level 1 was extremely challenging, so I'll probably do it for a few days and move on. I think this video will be an awesome way to change up my workout routine. I love that you can do it in 20 minutes. Now, if only I can get my diet under control...!

This resort is brand new. It opened on December 1st, so as with all new resorts, there are some major kinks to be worked out. I know there are brides on this forum that are getting married at Dreams VM, so I hope the resort rises to meet the reputation of other Dreams Resorts. I'm taking a 3 day honeymoom at Dreams VM in May. I'm slightly worried, but hoping it will be better by then. Since I'm only there for three nights, and we plan on just relaxing after our wedding, I'm not concerned with entertainment at all. The rooms are super luxurious (rave reviews on the rooms on Trip Adviosr) and the beach is really nice. Let's focus on the positives, too.

That new Dreams VillaMagna does look pretty incredible though! Let me do a little research today and get back to you! Do you prefer an all-inclusive or a boutique hotel? There are some great suggestions on this thread as well. Casa de Mita recommended by pazoop looks like a wonderful boutique hotel. Pazoop, have you been there yet? I'm not sure what your wedding date is... If I was going to stay at another AI in Nuevo, I would choose the Vallarta Palace based on Trip Advisor reviews.

Do a search, and PM for more info. I'm very happy to share!
