You can see that some people were actually seated in the booths and some are freestanding. Also, you can see the area for dancing. And there's a separate bar area, which is nice, but it's shared with other guests, not private. You can also see they have wind guards they pull down, but our tealights and candles did not stay lit whatsoever. When you walk into the terrace area from outside: to your right is the bar, and to the left is where they will set up/move tables and chairs. The ones not being used are kind of shoved to the side in the back area where you can have your dance area and Ipod/DJ. If people are at the bar area, you can't hear any announcements or music very well. And in the photos from the ceremony, you can see on the side that the groom is standing the stone now extends out past the Gazebo covering. That is what they were working on before our wedding, then after, they were starting on the bridesmaid side (which I don't think you can see the difference in these photos). The only thing I can think of is this is maybe going to be the alternate location for receptions?? But it is definitely smaller than the original Plaza deck and I'm not sure if the Gazebo will stay there?? In the map that Tracy posted, they were not doing anything to the circled area when I was there last week. In the pictures of us at the beginning, that is the Plaza deck, they added the wall, and those huge columns. After my wedding they started to add benches and a huge roof on the top. I have some other pics I have to find that I took before we left the Resort. I also added some pics from the bonfire we had on Friday night, they did a really nice set up with chairs, bean bags, music, and a full bar. I have some more pictures to upload that I took of it as well. I also have pictures of how they set up the beach for the romantic private honeymoon dinner to upload from my camera. I've been having problems with my camera connection and our computer, it's a MacBook, and it's suddenly not compatible. And I'm not sure if brides from Azul Fives are still checking this board...but the last place we stayed on our honeymoon was right next to the Fives and it doesn't look promising. I spoke with some guests at the Sensatori that were moved from there and they said they heard that now it's not even opening They were given less than 6 weeks notice and they had a group of 50ish. I didn't see much construction going on when I was next to it. And the beach is miniscule, our hotel that is tiny had a larger beach..... Kodakgallery.com: Slideshow Hey Erika, Did you feel the Smore's Party was worth it? I know you mentioned that the tiki torches were blowing out...Did your guests enjoy themselves? Also, did you feel the Zocalo Terrace was well lit? Valerie Valerie

I plan on having a TTD session with Elizabeth Medina and was just planning on leaving it up to her to choose the location. I plan on sending her a few pics of other TTD sessions that I liked so that she can get an idea of what I am going for and hopefully suggest locations that way. Have you purchased a new dress just for the TTD session...I am going back and forth on whether I want to wear my real gown.

Hey Ladies, I submitted my details sheet to Tiffany last week and just found out that I can only choose 2 meal options for my guests because I have less than 70 ppl! This sucks because I had my guests choose their meals on my invitation...ugh! I was orginally going to choose Beef, Chicken, or Fish options from the A-La-Carte "Main dish" menu and she said that I must choose only 2 Max! For those of you with a guest count under 70, have you all been told the same thing? Valerie

christina276 - I noticed that you had a 3 tier cake for your reception..but in your review you mentioned that you had a cake for 20-30 people...is that an option, because I only see 2 tiered cakes for 20-30 ppl. How much did you pay for your cake? I don't really like the 2 tiered cake look, but don't want to pay for something no one will eat... Valerie

I asked Tiffany whether there were any onsite activities for my wedding guests and she emailed me a list of activities to choose from. On the list were activities such as : BBQ Beach party with games hosted by the resort, Smores Party, Family Olympics, Private beach dinner, etc. I am assuming this is the same info that you got from the friends and family department. The Smores party is $15 per person which seems reasonable. PM me if you would like me to email them to you. Valerie

Is there anyone that has seen or had a private reception on the Zocalo terrace or the Banquet hall yet? I am torn between the two locations. I am worried that the banquet hall will need alot more decor to make it look nice. Any feedback you might have would be wonderful! Christina - Great pictures! I am also so so excited to hear about the Smores party! The second I saw that I knew I had to do it! I plan on having a classical guitarist too for my ceremony...have you gotten any feedback from your guests about him? Were you able to choose from a list of songs you wanted him to play? Also, I am having a Skydeck wedding and wanted to know if anyone has seen pictures online of the altar setup for a wedding( other than the first ever wedding at AS)...I am searching for ideas. Lastly, I am bringing hanging crystals and orchids to hang from the altar, will the onsite WC put them up for me or should I have my bridesmaids do it?

Hey ladies, My guests are totally stressing me out! Our group as already booked our rooms and my fiancee's Grandmother has decided (a little under month later) to buy her ticket to Mexico! We are happy about this, but now my TA is telling me they can not add her as a 3rd person into any of the rooms we paid for because they were already submitted to the resort and paid. Do any of you ladies know if there is someone I can speak to at the resort direction that might be able to help me alter the rooming assignments and provide my fiancee's Grandmother with a space in once of the rooms we have? It's either she looses money on a ticket or she stays in a resort without her family, which we can't have as she is older. Please help!

I may book anyways just in case. Regarding the rooms, has anyone found anywhere online where the rates are cheaper per room? I have a few people who are paying for families of 5 and need cheaper rates....especially with this ecomomy. Please send me you TA's name or a website where they are selling room rates cheaper than $180 per night! Thanks Valerie

One month to go...and we just had a HUGE fight!

I think it is totally normal when you are stressed. Me and my FI have some big fights, but what maters is how long it takes to make up and how much you love eachother. Hang in there! -
I don't about you ladies, but I am still very concerned about the conditions of the resort. My wedding isn't until May, but I am still worried about them not getting their act together. I chose this resort because I figured that if my guests were going to pay money to come to our wedding, it should be an expereince of a lifetime with great beaches and service... Now, I am more concerned that they are going to be complaining about the resort even after the wedding is over! Jenni- I am trying really hard to send good vibes to the resort, but I am slowly stressing out and mapping out a plan B as to whether it is even possible for me to change venues at this point...ugh!
