  1. We had our wedding in Sept and we booked our flight exactly 330 days before our departure date which was the earliest we could book it. We ended up getting an awesome deal for a multi-country itinerary. We never found fares that low ever again. We saved about $900 per person by booking as soon as we could.
  2. OMG! The last photo on the 1st page by Javon Longieliere was our photographer!!! And the woman who posed for his photo is the niece of the woman who was our wedding coordinator and owned the chateau we got married at! The photo makes her look really ethereal, I think. Very unique!
  3. we used Wedding Planning Guide and Free Wedding Websites - mywedding.com for our personal wedding planning website since it was free and easy to use and you can customize it. We are now using shutterfly's photo share website to share our photos with everyone.
  4. I agree. We used Wedding Planning Guide and Free Wedding Websites - mywedding.com for our personal wedding planning site and we are now using shutterfly to post our wedding photos on their free sharesite. Check ours out!
  5. Awww! Thanks girls! We can't wait till we get the pro pics. Our photographer, Javon Longieliere, did some really creative shots for us on the motorcycle during the afternoon and at night. I'll let you girls know when those are ready! I love seeing everyone else's pics too!!!
  6. We did not do a rehearsal dinner. Instead, we had a welcome dinner when most of our guests arrived the 1st night and our wedding day was 4 days later.
  7. Sorry, but I'm won't be donating mine. I want to save it in case I have a daughter and she might want to wear it, but if not, I'll always treasure for memory's sake and for posterity. We kept lots of little tickets and stubs, etc to keep in a scrapbook so that we remember everything of our wedding week and honeymoon.
  8. Hi Girls! We just created a website free through Shutterfly to post all of our family and friends' non-pro pics so that we can share them with everyone who were unable to come to the wedding. As our friends and family who attended the wedding upload more pics, we will have their albums posted here. Please feel free to visit our site and check out the pics! http://fanelliwedding.shutterfly.com/ Enjoy!!!
  9. nope, didn't work. The file size is within the limits and the pic size is within the limits too. Mods - please help?
  10. I'm trying to change my profile pic and wanted to test to see if it worked. I checked my old posts and it still has my old pic on there.
  11. Awwww! Thanks girls! We just got back from our honeymoon late last night so I will be posting a review soon and gathering all the photos from our friends to put out on shutterfly for all to see!
  12. We had a pre-wedding celebration/send-off party about 3 wks before our wedding and we are so glad we did it beforehand. It was so much more work to coordinate the send-off party and plan the picnic and cook for 100 or so people than it was to do our actual wedding since our WC handled most of the details. And it's a relief to come back from our honeymoon and not have to worry or plan anything else. Now, the only thing I have to do is thankyou notes and organize photos amongst all our friends and family so they can share all their pics.
  13. Our 1st dance song was Faces by Andy Moor and Ashley Walbridge but our last song was more important for us as it was the culmination of our entire day/night. Our last song was Surreal by Jaren.
  14. We used traditional music for the ceremony but did non-traditional music for our first dance, reception and last dance. Hubby and I are really into trance/techno so we chose Faces by Andy Moor and Ashley Walbridge for our 1st dance which hubby personally edited and mixed. Hubby created a set of 25 techno songs he also edited and mixed together that we gave to our DJ to play during the reception. Then our last dance song was Surreal by Jaren. It was the culmination of our entire wedding and reception and we felt that it represented our entire experience, how everything actually was so Surreal! For us, our special song was the last song more than our 1st dance song. :-)
  15. We had 27 people including us. We had us, my mom and sister and Hubby's mom and her b/f at our head table/sweetheart's table. We had everyone else sit at 1 giant long table together. It worked out really well and since everyone got to get to know each other beforehand during the earlier part of the week. :-) Hope that helps!
  16. My hubby also rides and I like to ride behind him. We have a bike at home that we ride when we have a chance. Also, for our wedding week, we rented a classic harley for 2 days to take some cool wedding photos on the first day and take a ride in the countryside of France the 2nd day. Javon, our photographer, was amazing and did some pretty creative shots for us! I can't wait till we get to see the pics!!!
  17. Hi Girls! I just wanted to post a few non-pro pics my cousin took during our wedding. Can't wait to see the other pics as well as our pro pics! Mods - Please let me know if some of these pics are too big and I will fix them!
  18. Same thing happened to us when we were looking for airfare. We were looking online and were finding flights for our multi-stop Europe trip at around $2200 per person round trip. When I called a TA, she ended up finding us rates at about $1300 per person. We booked our airfare through her right away. As for the rest of our guests, they are only doing 1 location (our wedding location) and I was able to find fares that were sometimes lower than what the TA found, sometimes higher. It all depended on when they were looking and booked.
  19. Also, some of them might not be able to make it to your DW so there is that factor to consider too.
  20. Wow! I can't believe how much everyone's alterations cost! My dress shop charged me a flat $125 for hemming, french bustle, detail adjustments, cleaning, and everything!
  21. This may be a dumb question but if you wanted them to choose Horizon Blue or only 1 shade off from Horizon blue, how did your friend end up with Pool blue?
  22. FH finally figured out what to get me for a gift. He was torn between getting us fireworks for the wedding or renting a motorcycle so we can take wedding photos on it and then have it the next day to tour the countryside. Although I have been begging since the beginning of the planning of this wedding for fireworks, I opted for the motorcycle. I think the photos will be so awesome on them and photos will last a lifetime!!! Can't wait!!!

I also agree that you don't have to pay for the guest.
