  1. I just found this thread and thought it was really interesting! I'm a reporting manager at a large insurance company and make about $75k a year. Up until 3 yrs ago, I was making 44K a year, but FH pushed me to start asking for what I really deserve, considering how hard I work and how well I know what I do. I wouldn't say I love my job but I don't dislike it either. It helps pay the bills. FH makes about $120K a year between his day job as an IT architect and his start up business (which is just starting to get off the ground) printing insurance benefit cards for TPA's and PBM's.
  2. Any referrals or recommendations would be most appreciated! TIA!
  3. I wanna play too! Here's my list: Continental U.S. - Several states Hawaii U.S Territories - St. Thomas Barbados Aruba Key West Guadeloupe Isle de Saints Dominica France England South Korea Canada Mexico Belize Texas! (My home state!) Monaco Places I will be adding to the list after my wedding: 1. Netherlands 2. Belgium 3. Germany (Maybe) 4. Switzerland (Maybe) I think that's it! :-)
  4. Hi, I'm looking for a TA cuz we are going to be having our destination wedding in France. But while we are there, we want to continue our honeymoon in London and Amsterdam. We also want to make it easy for our guests to book flights by going through a TA. Some of our guests will only be staying for the week of our wedding while other guests may want to travel Europe while they are there. Does anyone know of any TA's that specialize in travel in Europe? Thx in Advance!
  5. Love the new do! It looks awesome! And I think I have that exact sweater you're wearing in the photo. LOL! Express?
  6. Love your website! I love the Learn Spanish link. I hope you don't mind but I borrowed that idea for my website for French! Thx!
  7. If you are looking for an all around good printer, the Ricoh c410dn or the c411dn are excellent printers that will print on any card stock. My fiance is in the card printing business and uses these printers himself. They print excellent quality images and their toner cost is much lower than most laser printers. You can sometimes find a really good deal online for them such as ebay or other online searches. You can find them new for about $700-$800 (I know it's more than you wanted to spend) but they will last you a very long time before you need to replace any parts and the toner will last you 15,000 pages. Hope that helps.

I'll have to see if I can find a better monogram instead of the bouquet of roses. The castle in the background is the actual castle we will be staying at for the week of the wedding. :-)
  9. Hi Everyone, I saw a lot of people's ideas of doing a boarding pass STD and thought it was a fabulous idea! So here's my first attempt at them. I just wanted your thoughts cuz I wasn't sure if it was too busy or not. Won't be sending them out for a couple months but just wanted some honest feedback. I think I like STD2 better. What do you think? THX!!! Grace & Mike STD.pdf Grace & Mike STD2.pdf
  10. Those STD's look awesome!!! Do you have the template? My fiance and I own a timeshare at the Renaissance Resort in Aruba. You are going to love it there! Definitely check out the private island! And if you like or want to try scuba diving, I definitely recommend JADS Scuba. They are down by Baby Beach but give you such personalized service! And the best place for a romantic dinner is Flying Fishbone. Absolutely to die for food! You probably already know all this so I hope you don't mind. Those were just all the places my fiance and I enjoyed!
  11. Wow! Awesome pics! You guys got a great photographer!!! I love the sunset picture with the rainbow around you!!! AMAZING!!!
  12. Hi Honeybee! Congratulations on your wedding and marriage! It sounded sooo wonderful. My fiance and I are considering Chateau Challain as a wedding venue. How did you like it? Were you there only 1 night or did you stay for several days? How long did it take you to get there from Paris? Which MTV show will your wedding be on? Is it True Life? Or is it their show Engaged & Underage or is it a new show entirely? Would love to watch the episode when it airs in November. Any info you can share would be great!!!!
  13. I agree with most of everyone here. Also, another suggestion might be if you are called away for more than a couple of days due to a wedding you are currently coordinating, you might let your clients know that you will be unavailable during that time and might not be able to reply back to everyone as quickly due to another wedding. That way, people won't be wondering why it is taking so long to hear a response. Thx!
  14. Mine's pretty simple. We originally wanted the trillion cut ring that I've attached a pic of but we couldn't find one in the size that he wanted so we went with my 2nd favorite cut which is princess. It's 2.12 carats on a white-gold tiffany setting. The picture of my ring doesn't show the band in the best light, but it's a decent pic of the ring. Trillion Cut Ring.pdf Ring.pdf
  15. If we hired our own wedding coordinator, I thought their fee, which is usually 15-20% of the total cost of the wedding, covered their services. That's almost several thousands of $. I don't mean to sound ignorant, but we have to tip on top of that? I think I'm going to have to opt for a gift for them.
  16. I say go with the Amy M Dress. It makes a statement, is absolutely beautiful on you and the back is gorgeous!!!
  17. I vote for #2. I think it's more flattering on you. I agree with everyone else though. If you only think they're ok, keep looking. You'll find the right one!
  18. Ok, I've just spent the last 2 days going through all 21 pages of posts of wedding dress pics and I think everyone looks absolutely beautiful!!! Even the ones that I personally wouldn't pick for myself, I think they look amazing on the person who did pick it! I already posted my dress on the Wedding Attire section but I figured I should probably put it here where it belongs. It was $1400 in the store, but since I got the floor model, they knocked it down to $900!!! (Please ignore my bad hair day and glasses!) Dress.pdf
  19. Oooo! Very pretty! I found my dress the year before when my friend was getting married. Luckily, she went with another dress, but I knew that the dress she tried on was going to be my dress before I even tried it on. I went back this year, now that I'm getting married, and tried it on and it looked perfect! I tried on 7 more dresses just to make sure I loved my 1st choice and I was right, that was the one!
  20. Totally agree with everyone. #2 looks waaaaaayyyy better! The front is sexy and the back is so unique. When you're standing at the altar, all anyone can see is either your side or back and so I think #2 is the way to go!
  21. Thank you so much for all your wonderful comments! I can't believe I found my dress so soon! Even though I knew I wanted that one, I still tried on other dresses there just in case I liked something better, but I still loved that one the best. I guess now it's just nailing down all the other details...
  22. I just bought by wedding dress and I love it!!!! My g/f tried it on last year when she was getting married and decided to go with a different dress but I fell in love with it then so now that I am getting married, I went to the store and tried it on this past weekend. It fit almost perfectly!!! I just want to lose 10 more lbs so that my arms and back look really good in it. We finally decided on a location and date (France - 9/9/2009) so I think it will go so well with everything. And even better yet, because I decided to go with the floor model they already had in the store, they gave me 40% off!!! They said they would reinforce all the beading and design etc so it will look perfect. Not sure how to imbed the pic so here's an attachment of me trying it on at the bridal store. 23. Thanks for the info. We're definitely looking in the Loire valley area. They seem to have the best castles and chateaus. And with the train, even if we're 1-3 hours away by car, we can still get to Paris in half the time.
