  1. I love it!! The lemon and limes look great!
  2. Hey ladies, here are the menu options. Hope this helps. weddingGaladinners.pdf
  3. Yes they do have a nightclub. I heard it is closed on Wednesdays, but not for sure on that. The different color wristbands are for the different resorts. Since you are at the Palace you have access to all of the resorts (five in total including the Palace). Those staying at other resorts can not come to the Palace and use the facilities. There is also an option to upgrade your wristband to VIP or Club Premium. From what I have read the value of doing this is the free internet. It also says you get premium liquor, but from reading reviews it looks like that is included for everyone staying at the Palace. Hope this helps!
  4. Hey there. After searching through this thread I also found another thread that had lots of good info and a little more interaction. Thought I would post it here for all you new Barcelo Maya Palace Brides! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t3107
  5. She did send me pictures of the flowers, but they are just examples. I don't have any pictures of the centerpieces. If you PM me your e-mail address I'll send them to you. The file is to big to post here.
  6. I also did the boarding pass STD and I put that line on the last page. So I think you are fine moving it off the first page.
  7. I've been getting e-mails back from her within a day or two.
  8. Congrats and welcome! I am partial since I am getting married at the Barcelo Maya Palace! Good luck on your decision.
  9. I think why I feel bad is I am okay with it. We might have one or two good friends that overlap our weddings, but since I am doing a DW we won't have a huge group with us. I thought all was okay (any pretty funny) until yesterday when she told me she is returning her dress. She really struggled with finding a dress she liked, so I hate having her return one she loves. She told me that she is okay with it and that this incident is a sign that it is not the right dress for her. I offered to see if I can return mine because in the one day I went out I found three I really liked, but she turned me down. Plus I also made the mistake of telling her I was so excited because I thought my dress was perfect for the beach - oops! She is having a big church wedding. In my defense I didn't know our dresses were even a similar style at this point. Must learn to keep my mouth shut! Tough situation!
  10. So I briefly posted this in another thread, but I am a little stressed out about this and need some perspective. One of my girlfriends is getting married two months after I am. I bought my dress this weekend and just found out today we have the same dress - exact same! I know buying her dress was a struggle for her, it took her a long time to settle on one and I was the exact opposite, I found mine the first day out. Anyway long story short, she has decided to exchange her dress and get a new one. I am feeling bad and I thought the dress was supposed to be the fun part. She is a good friend and I think her decision is more based on she likes to be an individual, but I think I need to let it go and move on . . . right?
  11. So I am a little bit disapointed today. I just sent the pics to one of my good friends who is getting married two months after us in the states. She bought the same dress. I feel kind of bad! How crazy, out of all the dresses out there, we both picked the same one. Should I worry about this?

  13. Thanks all! I was so excited yesterday I wanted to keep in on all day. It also helped me pick my bridesmaid dresses colors. I was debating between pink and blue - two decisions made with one purchase :-)
  14. Congrats! My sister got married at the Moon Palace two years ago - you will love it!
  15. I bought the dress today and they actually had my size in stock so I was able to take it home. What do you ladies think? I am thinking no sash for the ceremony and then put the sash on for the reception. Now I just need to do the alterations and bussle! I promised myself I would not buy the dress on my first trip out, that went out the window pretty quick. I have never posted pics before so hopefully this works. . .
  16. Welcome to the forum and congrats!
