  1. I totally vibe with you on this one. I too had been havin a hard tme finding a dress and to make matters worse, I am not the Shopping type of girl so I have zero patience for this. The dresses I narrowed down are nice but do not give me the "Its the One" feeling and I am okay with that. I realized that maybe I am not just the type and I am not a terribly excitable person to begin with. I am very satisfied with it, more costly then I wanted to spend on a dress, but I am sure it will be beautiful. Go with what you choose, not your mom or sister.

  2. ALl three are gorgeous but I am biased towards Jamaica. Three great islands to choose from and all around great choice. Happy planning as there are TONS of Jamaica brides to help answer questions as well as many threads on the site. Best wishes in planning.

  3. Hey michelle--do you watch the food network? They have many chefs that specialize in 30 min meals, including Rachel Ray, what she is infamous for in the early days pre-show. The food network definitely has a cult following! lol.

But in terms of easy dishes, I cook things like pasta with chicken or veggies grilled with a side of roasted potatoes. Quick meals are always simple to make involving a meat or poultry and a veggie and side.

Salmon is very easy to make and cooks in 10 minutes in a broiler. The key is to not let your food dry out. Just breathe and focus on your goal. It is not terribly difficult as people seem to make it. I wish you well.

  4. Wow amazing how bad memories can take you from calm to insane in 60 seconds. I agree with the girls that you took the right steps towards removing yourself from the situation. They are losers and I always say--don't expend energy on people like that. you are giving them the POWER. Take it back and move them out your life.. I wish you well my dear.

  5. I am so proud in this moment..humbled and looking forward to international and national healing. All it takes is incremental steps to change the world a day at a time. It will be a long upward battle but it is my hope that everyone can just reach out across party lines and accept, (not just tolerate) each other and work towards making america whole again.

  6. I agree that given enough notice or not, there will be those family members that will always have something to say no matter what you decide. Your BIL can come alone and leave the wife home, or you can meet the BIL 1/2 way with funds or meet them both half or all the way. This all depends on how far you are willing to be generous and how badly you want them there. My FI and I drew the line that we would pay for his mother only, because it does not matter if our wedding was in 2011, money seems to ALWAYS be an issue with that side which I find extremely annoying and I was not willing to once again fund their expenses.

    Do you--it is your day.

  7. Hey Ladies..Just so you know where I am coming from and my decision to do the diet I am doing. I previously lost 50 pounds in a year through hard work in the gym and exercise. It is important to eat several small meals throughout the day, espeically protein for muscle fuel. AFter I had my baby, all of my old tricks did not work and it did not help that I had this thyroid issue.

In any event, I am doing Accuweight which is a combination of accupressure, extreme dieting and breathing techniques. Weight loss varies but you WILL lose an average of 15 pounds your first month if you do not cheat. I lost 12 pounds my first week, but fell off the wagon the last three due to personal issues. In any event, my first month I lost 18.5 pounds and counting. I expect to lose another 20 this month (I am neurotic about being very thin) so a total of 50 pounds by mid december will satisfy my high expectations if I stick to it and keep on maintenance afterwards.

I exercise three times per week (cardio) and drink (supposed to) lots of water.
