I understand that it is a blessing that you and your FI are in a position to help his dad but guess what--when you take your FI's name, all his issues (your FIL) become YOURS too! Credit is no joke and is not a walk in the park to repair. It affects EVERY dacet of your life, down to getting a new job. Cash only goes so far. I would push for his dad to get things in hos own name. You are doing the right thing of thinking of your future--that is what our role as women are for in more cases than less, thinking ahead. A lot of times, men only think about the present. Let his dad get his stuff in his own name!!! My .02.

It is my favorite time of the year and like any other year especially this one, I can say the same. I will make it on a very small scale this year, a small tree and a few decorations. We have a 2-yr old so no need to rob him of the whole experience. Maybe closer to it, we will all feel more merrier!!!

what you are feeling is not at all uncommon. I too have ben feeling this but primarily due to a lot of personal priorities and issues. Then when wedding stress comes on, I definitely feel at times that I can't really be bothered but it passes because at the end of the day, someone has to wrap this all up and make it come together. I am one of those if you want it done "do it yourself type of persons" and the same applies for the wedding. I find that even though I say my priorities does not equate to another person's emergency, people just don't respond in the timely manner in which I would like so best to be mad at myself if something does not go right. I am sure you are not even considering the notion that you are making a mistake about the marriage in itself, so just keep plugging along and everything will work out just fine in the end. Especially as you get closer and closer to the date. Best of luck.

I think its adorable as long as they provide a nurturing home for the kids. Personally I think the nannies raise them , but they don't strike me as a couple that would take parenting for granted and/or be irresponsible.

Hi Ladies, So to further support my nervousness about the review on Trip advisor, I had sent her an email. Here is her response: MY question to her is actually at the bottom of the note....... Regarding: Montego Bay: Riu Montego Bay Hotel: do not choose for a wedding..... From: Hello, Both coordinators are there, but it seemed to me as if Keneika stayed at the desk and Chantelle was the one who did all the running. Chantelle was on the site and seemed to be in charge. As for the photography, the only contact I had with Michael before hand was an email sent with the samples and prices. Just a suggestion, but deffinitely email him and ask all questions you have, including setup and pickup time for photos. Also, see if you can deal directly with Michael for all of it. He was the most helpful and honest. If not able to deal directly with him...be prepared to be extra patient and demanding at the same time. The issues seemed due to incompetence and the relaxed jamaican attitude. Just expect that they do not run on time...for anything. I truly hope your experience is better than mine was. All in all, the resort was not a bad place...just definitely not the 5 star that they rated themselves at. I wrote the following: Hi XXXXXXX, I am sending you an email since I have seen so many mixed reviews and am actually planning to have my wedding there. Who was the coordinator, CHantelle or Keneika? Also had you spoken to the photographer before hand (Michael- senior photographer). Just curious if some of these issues are due to the kinks or just incompetence.

You are definitely not alone as I too check trip advisor constantly and came across this Monday night (12/. Immediate reaction was alarm but then it seemed as if some of the things could have been avoided with better planning on her part in addition to incompetence on the part of the WC maybe?? It was definitely disconcerting to hear and I know that since I have been communicating with the WCs, I have spoken to 3 different contacts, the last of which is Chantelle who states she is there to stay. We just have to remain positive and document EVERYTHING. I also plan to bug some poor guest to ensure she gets the WC there on time because I will become a Bridezilla on that day if shyt ain't right! I have a bulging folder which proves my neurotic obsessions with ensuring the channels of communication were clear. So let's hear what Indigo and RMB have to report and again, hope for the BEST!!!
