  1. wow it looks absolutely heavenly! Enjoy and give us the scoop when you return. Good luck with the wedding!
  2. It is so heartbreaking. We all knew it was the mother, my GOd how can someone be so heartless? Especially when there are so many women that wish they could be pregnant and have a child of their own. I agree that the parents (grandparents) probably knew the mother killed her daughter and were keeping it quiet. It is sooooooo sad.
  3. very well said and a reminder to put life in perspective. thanks so much for sharing
  4. Really nice! What are your colors! And why does it seem the real touch experts all live in CDN??!! No slight to my fellow CDN BDW sisters!!!
  5. Okay so did anyone tune in to the new WE series Momma's Boys!! Was the mother from Iraq insane or what!! WTF. But in some twisted way, I can appreciate her forthrightness and honesty about she feels because covert racism is much worse. I am still reeling from her blunt statements on the various races that she did not want for her son. She has nerve because she clearly is no svelte size 6!!!! Needless to say I will be tuning in next week. Ryan Seacrest is getting that paper--AI, radio, tv commercials and now this new series!!!
  6. Once I heard about the weather I made the decision to work from home today. So I will fire up the laptop and then power down later and get some chores done. I got up at 6 am to get some groceries from Shoprite, so given that it will be a snuggly evening. I am on a strict diet so there goes the movies and a snack idea .
  7. I agree with FI totally. It looks like your wedding is still some time away so maybe you can start now on your dental and either FI can help you out more with the expenses and nowadays, insurances offer cascading payments to make it easier to manage those intimidating bills that can rack up. It would be a greater deal IMO if you were without insurance totally! I'd say re-work the numbers and adjust where you can. You have waited a long time for your wedding day so would not suggest this a secret deal. You want your day to be special and beautiful. Best of luck to you.
  8. I did both as well. MAC has the same training so you should not technically "know" the difference. either would be fine.
  9. I would suggest you go with what you want. The RIUS are nice however, not sure about Club med and kid friendliness though.
  10. Some people take exercising the ir right s WAAAAAAY too far and thisis a classic example! I would not even give them air play!
  11. We started dating in 2004 on and off, got serious in 2005, had our son in Feb 2007 and moved in after the birth of our son. Got engaged Mother's Day 2008 and planned to marry in 2008 but Feb 2009 it will be! Total of almost 4 years together!
  12. Ditto! Guests budget, location, proximity to airport, activites and hotel reputation!
  13. I would recommend you doing a search for the SJG thread. There were quite a few brides on there that had a wedding or is planning on it. Maybe you can PM them with specifics. Best of luck
  14. Welcome to the forum! If you'd like I can email you a copy of my samples. But if you google wedding invite samples, you will get a plethora of examples to choose from and customize. Best of Luck planning.
  15. We are actually getting married at the RIU Montego Bay in JA, so certain amenities are standard with the RIU chain. Planning is going well--hope yours is as well.
  16. Hi Jenn, You are a doctor so anything I can provide is like preaching to the choir. I will keep you in my prayers and you have GOTS to just RELAX if you can!! I am not sure if you are open to holistic treatments but there are solid solutions out there that help regulate the reproductive tract and make getting pregnant easier barring nothing is wrong with mom or dad. Looking forward to the good news soon!
  17. Hi There, YOu can purchase sand from any Arts and Craft Store. Not sure if you have Michaels in CDN, but that is where I got mine from. Good luck.
  18. As stated, the docs have to ensure they provide details and all the POSSIBLE risks and complications. If you have a certain concern based on genetics then extra care needs to be given. If you are healthy as a horse, you will be fine. Heck I had my son at 34 and we are getting married in March! We could not quite wait for the wedding as I chose not to be 35 and prego. Personal choice based on circumstance too! Of course my conservative family almost had cardiac arrest but I have always done what I want to do not what makes them happy. I wish you well--motherhood is the best.
  19. I am walking down the Aisle to "Isn't She Lovely" by Stevie Wonder. After all, isn't it abbout ME in that Moment??!!!!
  20. I think if you have a frank chat with your FI--he will let you know if he is just the uninvolved type or as someone else suggested wants tp be a part of the little things that don't require much thought (lol). I wish you well and don't stress too much.
