  1. I agree that I love the personalization of my party flops! They were a huge hit at my wedding too ... everyone just loved them and thought it was such a good idea. I would definately compare them to old navy sandals...they're still comfy though!
  2. I think it's a good idea but you have to expect that there will be many photos that you don't want. I worked for a photographer for many years who also did 1 hr photo developing...I always felt like the disposable cameras were such a waste...and yet for a DW I'm sure that there will be lots you won't get to see while you're guests are hanging out around the resort...so I guess in the end as long as you're prepared to only like a few of the but still pay to get them all developed...go ahead...it sounds like it would be fun to look at them after the trip!
  3. Yup, just let him take the pictures! They can't stop someone who is a guest from taking pictures of people who want them taken!

It's true that he prefers to have the mailed notarized copies before you get there...however...just to confuse you some more...I mailed my documents 2.5 months before my wedding date and they still havn't gotten there and it's now 1 month after my wedding! They did allow me to send them a scanned copy and I just brought a second set of notarized copies to them when I got there. They only did this for me because the first ones I sent got lost so I'm not saying to do this!!! I just wanted to let yas know that if something were to happen and they didn't get your documents, if you scan them before you send them they will work everything out for you...No Worries!!
  5. Congrats! Glad to hear everything went well!!!
  6. No, I don't think you can reserve it. Of if you can I'm sure it would cost a pretty penny. Unless you have a massive amount of people going there will be plenty of space. We met up there every evening and always had chairs and lots of room for all of us. We were a group of 25 people

I'm just asking because I have seen this dress on a site called topbridaldresses dot com and was wondering if this dress is legitmate or what you ladies might be paying yourselves for this dress. I'm looking at maybe buying this as a suprise for her. If she wears it or not I just thought I could give the love of my life something. So sorry if this is the wrong place to post or I've done something to offend apologise now. Good luck all. Micosmiling How cute!! Sorry I can't help you with this at all cause I only just became aware of the dress by reading this thread but you're very sweet for wanting to help your FI with this. Oh and Izzybel...TTD means Trash The Dress...it's usually done the day after the wedding...you get to lay in the sand, go in the ocean, jump in a pool or find a location like a waterfall or something and do shots that you normally wouldn't do in a wedding dress...I guess that's how I'd explain it...I'm sure you'll see TONS of pics for TTD's on here
  8. I'd check with a TA first. Sometimes the airlines that you'll get a better deal from only have packages with certain resorts...that's where we started. Once you have it narrowed down to a few then you can start getting down to the nitty gritty. It's definately the toughest and most stressful part of planning though so don't get too worked up about it. Wherever you choose will turn out perfectly! Happy planning!
  9. They do give manicures...so I'm guessing that french tips would be part of that. They are very good at everything they do there...very professional. I can't say for sure but I do know that facials, manicures and pedis were on the pricelist... Yup, just checked the renova spa website Beauty, Health and Spirit and it says it does them!
  10. I really have no idea if it will effect your process...but... If the resorts don't specify that the birth cert need a father's name I'm sure that other brides who have gotten married at resorts also didn't have a father listed on their birth certificate!! I would say it won't be an issue!! I really wouldn't worry about it because the only difference between your wedding and one on a resort is that you don't have the resort wedding coordinator. We've never heard of an issue with birth certificates before so you will be fine I'm sure I totally understand why you're stressing but when you're this close...everything starts stressing you out!! hah! Just relax and enjoy it all. Everything will work itself out and everything will be perfect!! Good luck with everything and Enjoy the process!!
  11. oowww, fruit would be an excellent decision. They'll hydrate you too! The more hydration the better!!
  12. The way I usually get rid of a minute gain like that is drink an extra glass of water!! I swear it works!! Whe you get to Maui you want to make sure that you feel at your best and you don't want to feel like you could've done better in the last 9 days...give it all the will power you have!!! You can say no...the water might help to get rid of the craving too... if not can you control yourself enough to just have 3 M&M's?? If you only have 1 or 2...no more than 3 than I think you can at least jsutify that...but if you know yourself and you can't just eat a few (like me!!!!) then it's sooooooo not worth it! You will feel so great in Maui when you know you worked at lookin' so good! Good luck!!
  13. OK take it all into perspective...your .2 lb gain this morning might've been from something you ate 2 days ago or retaining water. and you know you'll be so proud of yourself if you just say NO to those M&M's!!! I'm posting this now and writing more so that you can read it and not eat them...I know how compulsive I can be with candy!!
  14. I wish I could help but I really think that if you feel strongly that it was right to cancel based on your family's feelings that you have to confide in them to figure out when would be ok to reschedule. I think everyone is different and you have to go with what you feel is right too. Sorry I can't help!!
  15. AWwwwwww, I got goosebumps reading that. Too cute! Congrats and have an amazing trip!!
  16. DH wanted and AHR and my parents wanted it too...so they paid!! That's the only reason I agreed to it!
  17. Congrats Candice! I've heard that the WC there (Keneika i think) is wonderful so I wouldn't worry about a thing! Happy planning!
  18. You looked gorgeous Trice! I'm so happy I got to see the pro shots. Thought I'd let you know to that Chantelle must've really liked you cause she kept talking about your wedding when we met with her about ours. She just loved you!! Beautiful arch too...love it all! Congrats again!!
  19. That's what I suggested too I think...and I'm pretty sure it's the one that's by the plaza gazebo. there's also another bar very close to there . The evening show starts at 9:00 but there's stuff going on there from 7:30 on...it's over for sure by 10 - 10:30 ish.
  20. There are TONS of threads on this and one big one with a huge selection of songs. You should use the search on the right of your screen to search i'm sure you'll find lots. Here's one of them but there are lost of others... http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t7159
  21. Congrats! You're so lucky to have seen the resort before booking! HAve you considered the Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay? It is amazing!
