    Hi

Congratulations and welcome to the forum!
  3. Too bad about the plans but I'm sure everything will work out! Welcome and happy planning!
  4. It's definately a great idea and far from tacky! I actually think it's very thoughtful!
  5. Congratulations and welcome !! This site is very helpful and I hope it helps you with your planning as much as it has helped me!
  6. Thank you all so much for the advice...especially Ashli and the great picture. I think I'm going to keep my fingers crossed until January and then I'll decide where to go from there. I'll update this thread when progress is made so you can all know for next time a bride is going through this craziness. Thanks again!
  7. So I decided that I wanted to color my hair cause my highlights from the summer were growing out. I've been doing this every year since I was 14 so I didn't hesitate to do a DIY job at home. In September I dyed it light brown and the highlights came through within 2 weeks so I decided to go darker this time..medium brown. Well, it turns out medium brown for the brand I bought actually means BLACK!!!! My hairdresser told me that sunlight dish soap is a good clarifier (they use it on ducks after oilspills) so I've been washing my hair with that every day for a week!! My hair isn't dried out yet cause I've been conditioning like crazy and I'm starting to see a little tiny bit of brown coming through but it's already been a week and it's still very black. I've been told that you can't dye over black dye so I'm really scared I'm going to end up with the ends of my hair being black and the roots being brown for my wedding. I know I have a while before my wedding but hair doesn't grow that fast and I'm scared I'm still going to be dealing with it then. It's REALLY black and everyone is noticing. I can't even wear my hair down cause as soon as it falls against my face I look like I'm still dressed up for Halloween! I know y'all can't predict the future but do you think the hair dye will disappear before April (hopefully March so I can relax)?
  8. I don't think you're being unreasonable at all. It may be a tough situation and wouldn't be easy to talk about but I think I would tell her that you feel like you're losing touch and you really don't want to feel that way since your wedding is coming up. If you tell her that and then ask her to spend more time with you maybe she'll be more likely to give in. Try not to critisize him or her though cause that'll just put her on the definsive and make her want to spend more time with him. Good luck!
  9. Definately not too personal...that happens to me for sure. Is seems as though the week before I feel bloated and then the week during I just maintain. It's really hard to stay motivated and it's soooo easy to give in to cravings!
  10. Welcome and congratulations! You'll love it here, there's so much information!
  11. Congratulations Daniel and welcome to the forum.
  12. That's so awesome. Congratulations! The picture is beautiful!! I can't wait for mine! Enjoy the rest of your honeymoon!
  13. Congrats and Welcome. You must be leaving very soon! How exciting!
  14. You can either write cocktail reception to follow or hold off on the invites until you know for sure what time you will have it. Is there something that's holding you back from knowing the time or do you feel it's just too early to make a final decision? Either way, you can still pull off the invitation without saying the time. At least I don't see anything wrong with that!!
  15. I'd say tell him how you're feeling. Then you can talk it out and figure out what works best and makes both of you comfortable. He may not have a problem spending a lot on an ering and then getting a very inexpensive wedding band...or maybe if he feels there's no need for and ering especially an expensive one, you can agree on a very fancy wedding band. Either way, at least you will have talked it out with him and you both know where each other is coming from.
  16. I'm wondering if I'm the only one waiting until January to give out my invitations?? It seems as though people are doing them before or during the holidays. I completely understand why and I had changed my plans to do that as well but I decided this week that I am going to wait until Christmas to print them off and put them together so that my bridesmaids who are home at Christmas can help me with them. I feel like since it's the only time I'll see them before Jamaica that we should get some wedding bonding time in! I think I'm ok with my decision only because I'm excited to spend that time with my bridesmaids instead of other friends who don't need to be as involved in my wedding. - I guess there's more to that story but that's for another thread. I guess my concern is do you think January is too late to give out my invitations? Anyone who would come on the trip to Jamaica already know about it so it won't make a difference for that. Is there some other reason they should get sent out earlier?
  17. This is so fun!! Our baby is pretty cute! I didn't know I could save it though, I'll have to try it again! Thanks for the fun site!
  18. Yes, you will definately lower your stress level here. It's good to know you're not alone. Congrats and welcome!!

This week I ate horrible probably the worst in about a year so now I have to really get my but in gear I have my BD shoot at the end of the month. Jennifer I totally know what you mean! I can focus for a little while and lose a pound or two and then put them right back on. I think now that I'm so sick of doing that, maybe I'll actually push myself below this weight and break the cycle... I WILL BREAK THE CYCLE!!! 6 lbs by Christmas!
  20. I love this! I'm Gisele and my FI is Gavin and we're getting married on April 15, 2008 at Riu Montego Bay. We'll be flying into Jamaica on the 11th and leaving on the 18th! Can't wait for the trip!!

  22. So glad we have a lot of people on board here. I'm with edssbride. I'm determined to lose 6lbs by Christmas wich I think is pretty attainable. Being more consistent with my exercise and cutting down on the not so healthy food will hopefully help me to get there. We'll see how it's going in about two weeks and if I'm not seeing progress I might have to be a little more diligent. I'm at a weight now that I seem to get stuck at over and over again. I've already lost 10 lbs but I did this right before summer too and then gained most of it back. I can't seem to push my way past this weight so I'm glad we're all going to motivate each other. I really need it!! It's as if I feel like 10 lbs is enough and so I celebrate and I can't seem to stay motivated for more....wish me luck!!
