I'm not very big into the decor thing though...pretty plain and simple so maybe my opinion isn't the best?!!?!
  3. Welcome!! In no time you'll become one of the experts on here! congratulations and happy planning!!
  4. I'm feeling a little stressed especially when I look at the ticker in my siggy and it says I have less than 2 months...so exciting and nerve racking at the same time!! Things I have left to do are.. mail notarized documents book caterer for AHR (we're having it april 25th) eeek decide what MC will say during AHR decide on structure/timeline of AHR dress fitting (this week) buy body tape (so dress sticks to skin) re-count supplies and favors for OOT bags and make sure I've packed enough of them. re-pack OOT stuff into a suitcase that I can fold into another one (so I don't have to pay for a 2nd suitcase on the way home! We're getting down to the wire! This thread is great for reminding me of what I need to do.
  5. I keep feeling like I've forgotten to do something!! How early did ya'll send your notarized documents?

I am not sure really if there is anything close to Mo-Bay to do really pretty TTD pictures. I know I have seen some from Dunn Rivers that I love, but I don't really want to travel all that way. Yes Micheal will do the Free packages as well but he's not automatically booked for you unless you have the 2009 Caprice or 2009 Royal Package because they include photographs. The 2009 Free package does not include photographs. If you want to book him you need to contact him to make sure he is available for your wedding day and time. Here's the email you can contact him at [email protected] If I misunderstood I'm soooo sorry and I'm sure someone will let you know. But that's how I understood it when I read it. I have the free package and I had to contact him and he confirmed that he is available. I also requested that I get Micheal himself for my wedding day and not one of his assistants. That was just my request cause I am super picky about pictures since I worked for a photographer for 10 years!!
  7. I just ran into this thread now and thought I'd add how I saved $$ on my dress. I was looking for something appropriate for the beach and I wanted to be practical and get a dress that wasn't too heavy. Even destination wedding gowns seemed to have too much material. I ended up ordering a bridesmaid's dress in white and it's perfect!! and I saved sooooo much money because it's not a "wedding gown". I only paid $199
  8. I say go ahead and invite her too. But of course have a converstation with your mom about it. My family has had similar conflict in the past and for my wedding everything has worked out. I'm not saying that they're all huggy huggy again but they've learned to be at gatherings together and try to forget their conflict. It actually makes life a lot easier for the rest of us! good luck!!
  9. Thank you so much. I feel so much more confident in our decision to go with Micheal now!

  11. As you can see I really think this disappointment is like initiation into the DW club. We've all experienced it and it's something that is so heartbreaking when it happens but we soon realize why we chose a DW and that our day will be special no matter who is there. I'm just looking forward to the time I get to spend with the people who made the decision to make our DW an important day to spend with us. We're going to have a blast!! I can't wait!
  12. It's nice to have this all in one place! I thought I'd add stuff from photoshop...the photographer that does the photos for the Royal and Caprice packages. I also added the photo that I think I got from Indigo of the wedding dinner setup at Mahoe Bay/Steakhouse. price list.doc Wedding Pictures confirmation sheet[1].doc weddingconfirmationsheet[1].pdf

Tacky is far from what I would call it! I say go for it!

PANIC OMG I totally just realized that I forgot to talk to you about the Rock the reception thing!! How could I forget?!! I think it's so worth it cause it'll be the highlight of the night! We were planning on doing the same but we don't have coreographers in my end of the country!! You need to get a video!!
  15. I just emailed my resort as well as my TA so hopefully I'll find something out this week??!!! Let's hope!
  16. I wish I could help you! I askeda quite a few different people about even finding a catholic church close to our resort since we'll be there over Easter and many of my guests will want to attend a mass. I havn't had any luck with anyone. Let me know what you find out and I'll at least let you know about a church if I hear anything on my end!
  17. Smaller one with your hair up looks amazing...great choice!
  18. I had the same feeling you did when I got my dress. The sample I tried on was WAY too big for me but when they pinned it back I loved how it fit on me. So they measured me and told me what size to order so I did...well, when my dress came in it fit, but it wasn't even close to the same fit as when they had the other one pinned back. It was skin tight everywhere, even though the one I tried on fell away from my body a little with the a-line shape. Luckily, like you, I had enough time to get some weight off before my wedding and now it fits me just like I want it to. I have to get it taken in at the bust but the rest will flow nicely now!! Don't worry, you'll be so happy about it and feel so beautiful in it very soon! It's not easy to lose the weight but no one has better motivation than a bride to be trying to fit into her dress!! Good luck!
  19. Wow, sounds like an amazing trip! Have fun!
  20. Congratulations and Welcome Michael! Your wedding sounds beautiful! I'm sure you will find out everything you need to know by searching the forum. There is a wealth of information here. Happy planning!
  21. I say go with the one dress and wear it in the water. Like you said...you're never going to wear it again!! Enjoy it!! It'll be exhilarating (sp?)

Isn't it fun shopping the summer clothing sales this time of year??!!!!
  23. Well, there's not very many of us so I'm here to represent the East coast!! I'm from Nova Scotia...Cape Breton Island to be exact!
  24. We got our documents notarized and it's definately starting to feel real!! I'm hesitating to send them out this early though just in case they lose them. I think I'll just scan them and then send them out as soon as I can so that they're out of my hands! I can't believe we're so close to April!!! It's so exciting!! Oh and I bought a new bikini too!! I really can't wait!!
