I got married in July and did not receive my documents until October. I was ready to go to the local court house and do it again. I needed to be added to my husband's insurance and could not because we didn't have the license.

Love the towels. They are so cute. I also did custom towels and my guests loved them! It also made it easier for us to find each other around the resort. Everyone at the resort had the resort towels, but all my guests used our towels which were orange and stood out. Between the OOT bags and the towels you couldn't miss out party!

I have spoken to the wedding coordinator at Beaches and she finally just received it. The county in which I live in doesn't print your parents name of the birth certificate. Jamaica needs proof of your father, so I had to send a copy of my baptism certificate as well as a non official copy of something from the hospital listing my parents. So I got that resolved and now the certificate came in to Beaches two days ago and is wrong, My husband is a Jr. and it doesn't state that. So I now have to wait another two weeks. It is Very frustrating at this point.

We did the sand cermony and brought out own stuff, but of course on the way back it got messed up even though we packed it and sealed it. We still have it next to our wedding pictures in out livingroom. It is more of the meaning not the actual vase itself. Go with what in in your heart. If you want the candle do the candle. I did not have any wind, but I wasn't directly on the water.

Thanks for the link. I am starting to get alittle impatient with this process. I got married in July and still don't have my certicate either. You have been waiting long than I. I am gonna also fill this out this week and see what happens. They need to speed up their processing. This is crazy!

Jamaica Brides I got married at Beaches Boscobel on July 17, 2009 and still have not received my marriage certificate. I cannot chnage my name, or get added to my husband's insurance. Can anyone tell me how long it took before you received yours. I have spoken with the resort and don't seem to get any help.

Michelle I booked mine about 2 weeks before my wedding. I didn't do a trail run. I brought a picture and was very pleased with my style. I added makeup at the last minute. Just pay to get your hair done for that day. And if you need make up or a trail run schedule it when you get there. I agree Barbie can be very pushy.

I leave at 4:00 am tomorrow. I am so excited!! I am not sleeping tonight. No way that can happen.

How much do I tip the officiant? I am leaving on Wednesday and getting married on Friday. I was lying in bed thinking of everything still I have to do and having a panic attack, because I just thought of this. Thanks... I hope I am not forgetting anyone else.
