  1. Those are cute! Oh and I see you're getting married at DPA too, yay! Are you putting them in your OOT bags? To be honest I'm not that sure that all your guests will remember to bring them to the reception. I am planning on doing the maracas thing too but we're going to use them as place cards. We're going to tie a card to them. One side will have the person's name and table number and the other side will say: "Now the party’s getting good, we’d like to hear this if we could, stand and shake with all your might, and see the groom kiss his bride tonight." I totally got that off of someone else on this forum, but I don't remember who. Whoever it was, thank you!

I found this thread: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t33069 So I think I might have to go with freeze dried to be eco-frielndly. Thanks for the warning, Rory!
  3. I guess it depends on how formal your invites are. Are they closer to the formal side? I know tons of girls on here printed them on the computer. I did passport invites and I actually just used clear address labels which worked out great.
  4. Hi all, I guess I never really posted back after I officially set my wedding date. My DPA date is June 18! Quote: What are your thoughts on using freeze dried rose petals? We would probably just use them in the gazebo, along the walkway between the chairs, leading up to the table. Do you think they would stay there or blow away? The walls around the gazebo are pretty high, but there are some openings, so I wouldn't want them to have one big gust and blow into a big pile! I plan on using fake rose petals along the walkway (we have a flower girl). I am not sure how windy it will be though. I'm hoping that by having people in the gazebo it would help block at least some of the wind off the ground. I guess we shall see!
  5. It's so pretty! The sweetheart neckline looks great on you. You will be a beautiful bride
  6. I like the first one because you can read the food descriptions easier. I kind of like the shell on the second one though. Can you do a combo of both?
  7. So what do you ladies think about the new rule with the judges veto? I like it!
  8. Hi girls, it's been a while since I've played in this thread. I ended up having to move my wedding date 6th months earlier than planned so I will not be having my wedding at Riu (long story!). However, I thought it would be helpful to post the info I received from one of the WCs about the Riu resorts in Cancun. Hope this helps others in their search for a site! INFO Cancun.doc
  9. Nice! These coupons rock! Thank you so much for posting
  10. Where are you planning on having your wedding? I think the Riu's Caprice package can have unlimited guests, up to whatever the resort's maximum is (as long as all the guests are staying at the resort).
  11. Christabella, welcome to the forum! My family wasn't too keen on the DW idea at first, but now they have warmed up to it and are super excited! I am using a travel agent. Check out the Travel forum for more info
