Agreed, def go for Old Town Alexandria. I would recommend staying in Arlington, VA as a backup (5-15 minute metro ride into DC depending on where you stay). It's not as cute as Old Town, but still lots of good shops and restaurants around. I live in Arlington feel free to PM me if Alexandria doesn't work out.

$250 for DJ, too good to be true?

Wow..thats super cheap! I'm getting married at a Dreams Puerto Aventuras in Mexico and the DJ is $190/hr. $250 is a steal! I say go for it as long as you aren't picky about music selection. Maybe ask the WC if you can provide the DJ with a list of songs in advance, or if you can bring some CDs of songs you like.
