I don't think they'll mind. Just be honest up front and let them know that you don't plan on buying yet. I started trying on gowns after I got engaged in July 2008 but my wedding isn't until January 2010. Like lscilly I was just excited and it's fun. 12 months is plenty of time!

I live very close to DC in Arlington. Try Bridal Visions in Arlington. They sell lines that are usually cheaper: Alfred Angelo, Allure, Casablanca are just some of the designers they sell. I didn't end up buying my dress from there only because I found one elsewhere but the wedding consultants there are pretty nice and aren't as pushy as they can be at other places.

I received response from a WC when I went through the "Contact Us" option on the WeddingsbyRiu website. I'm planning on having my wedding next January and unfortunatly weddings for 2010 are not available to book and confirm until March. So I guess we just have to wait! It sounds like girls have been getting better deals by going through a TA. I think if you get the group rate through the resort itself, it might be a pain making everyone arrive and depart on the same days! I know for a fact that some of my guests (like my immediate family) would want to stay longer than others. On another note, I know that now RPRM is strict about only using the resort's photographer which I am fine with. But does anyone know if they can to TTD sesssions?
