  1. Claudette- I just noticed your wedding is right around the corner, how exciting! I can't wait to see your pictures. I am sure it's going to be amazing!!! We have the same colors and I was looking into doing your same BM dresses from Davids but in tangerine. Are you finished with all of your planning? What did you decide on for your rehearsal?
  2. Hey ladies, I hope that everyones planning is going great. As most of you know, I switched resorts from MDC to Iberostar Rose Hall Grand. My parents just got their refund back from MDC for the deposit...but they are still going there with a bunch of their friends after my wedding and staying in the 5 bedroom villa. Anyways, I am just posting because I found this sooo funny, I got an email from Kery yesterday below: "From: "Moon Dance Cliffs" <[email protected]>Add sender to Hi Leslie, Just touching base with you. I am a little busy right now with a constant flow of wedding. Just to let you know that I haven’t forgotten you. Kerry" HA! She is so out of the loop with everything she does not even know that my wedding has been canceled for over 3 weeks!

Here's the link: Wedding Hope this helps and good luck! The wedding gazebo is for very, very small weddings. As in 2-4 people. It's super small and a very narrow pier. If you want pics they wedding coordinator has mock pictures of a wedding set up there. I saw them in person, or else I would post them, but I am sure they can email them to you. It's a long dark wooden pier with 2 gazebos on each side at the end.

If someone has a map or if someone that has been to the resort can clairify, I would be super grateful. Thanks, M I just got back from a site visit there last month. All of the resorts are connected. However in the hallways seperating each hotel there are security gaurds and Beach Guests can't go to either of the sister properties and Suites can use the Beach, and the Grand can use all three. The Suites and Beach can not use the Grand. They are hardcore with security to make sure that nobody can get through who is not suppose to. On the beach they have gaurds and palm tress seperating each resort. If you want to hang with your Beach guests you would just have to walk down to their section of the beach. That is actually where all of the watersports are located anyway. It is about a 15 min walk from the end of the Grand to the end of the Beach (the Suites is in the middle).
  5. Tanya- Sorry for not getting back to you about Pilar's email. I see that you got in contact with her, congrats on booking your wedding!!! I know that she was out of town for a week so that is prob why it took her awhile to get back to you. I am so glad to have another Grand bride on here!!!!!!!!!!!! Gregsbride- So guests staying at the Suites can just come over to the Grand and hang out all day without having to purchase a day pass? Is that only on the wedding day or is it every day you are there? My FIs aunt is set on bringing her 2 kids so they would have to stay in the Suites, but she did not want to come if they had to pay for a pass to come over!
  6. I love the flowers! Your photographer was amazing..I love all of the effects he did.
  7. I think with a small group you can really do it up for the bags. They would all really enjoy it and it's a nice way to show the guests that you are thankful that they came.
  8. You did such a great job! Your guests are going to love it!!! I love the DIY markers and all of your brochures!!!
  9. Please don't get too stressed out over it. My FI and I have been to Jamaica 4 times and almost every time it has said "rain" for every day. It only rained one day of the trip each time and it was only showers for a few minutes in the afternoon and then it was over. I don't think the weather forcast for Jamaica is anywhere near as accurate as it is for the US.
  10. So FI and I are re-doing our living room and we were getting a bunch of new stuff at Pier 1 today, when I spotted a lady carrying around the cutest starfish candle! I ended up buying a bunch of them for $10 each. They are really good quality and they are a material that you can easily paint your wedding colors with acrylic paint. I went to AC Moore and bought some fuchsia and burnt orange acrylic paint for .50 to paint them with. They are a good size prob 6X6 inches and will be perfect to spruce up our buffet area. They also hae smaller sand colored candles that are $2.50 each. Pier 1 Imports - Filled Shell Candles

  14. So pretty! Her work looks great so I am sure the rest of your pics are amazing!
  15. EVERYTHING LOOKS SO BEAUTIFUL!!! I love your colors! The ceremony looks amazing Where did you get your hair flower? It is too cute! CONGRATS!
  16. Our budget is $30 per bag. We feel like everyone is making a big effort to come so we would like to do a bag with a few larger things vs. lots of little stuff. Knowing me I will end up doing little stuff and big stuff and will go over budget! LOL That has been the case with everything else so far!! Where are you ladies finding stuff for your bags? Any good cheap sites?
  17. I love the idea of the take home cake boxes! I really wanted a big cake but with only 60 people we may not eat it all so at least this way it won't go to waste. Everything looks so great!!!!
  18. Welcome to the forum!!!! You will love it here...and become addicted very quickly!
  19. Hey Ladies! My FI and I just got back from doing our site visit to Iberostar Grand Rose Hall. I took a TON of pictures and actually mixed in there are 2 picutres of a wedding being set up on the beach at the Suites. Near the end of my pictures you can see the grounds of both the beach and suites...I also took a bunch of pictures of a little shopping village that is located right next to the beach hotel. I totally reccomend walking down there to get stuff for your OOT bags. They have shot glasses, flip flops, necklaces, shirts all super cheap if you buy in bulk they siad they would barter down an even better deal!!! I am def going there to get stuff for my bags. 20. That sounds fair. A lot of people don't even have engagment parties, so of all things that is the one more casual event that I would give to him to make him feel included. Then he can't throw it in your face later on that he was left out.
  21. Gregsbride- No problem, that is what I love about this blog--how we can all share with one another! Iberostar 09- Your siggy pic is so beautiful! Congrats on your wedding . My mom and I stayed at the Grand Paraiso last June and LOVED it. That is why we chose the Grand Rose Hall for the wedding, since we really wanted to get married in Jamaica. I would say the resorts are identical in restaurants, rooms, pools, and quality of service. The Jamaican hotel/grounds are smaller but the personalities of the staff are much larger so it makes up for it. The people and the more upbeat regaee music are what make the Grand Rose Hall so much fun! I would reccomend it in a heartbeat. Both hotels are amazing and give you that Grand experience! We are honeymooing at Moon Dance Villas in Negril. We wanted to do a honeymoon in a place that was away from everyone and was a little different than anything we have been to before. It's all villas and each has a personal chef, bartender, etc.. so that should be fun. I would love to see more pictures of your wedding, I'm sure it was so beautiful!!
  22. Aww, that sucks about Sungold. The other one I was looking at was Sabb and their worked looked really good too. Here is a link to all of my pictures from the Iberostar Grand Rose Hall and also there is one mixed in with them of a wedding set up at the Suties: WEDDING SITE VISIT TO JAMAICA!!! album | Leslie | Fotki.com
