It's Snowing in Vegas!!!
FoxyBride replied to Susanandmo's topic in Destination Weddings in Las Vegas
It's crazy how people are freaking out! Being from Michigan this is no big deal to me, but it's like the second coming of Christ to some people. I've had folks stare out the window like kids or go outside and just want to touch it. LOL -

If they are giving away hotel rooms, they probably have some awesome deals there too. -
If you get them from Chinatown NYC definitely haggle. Especially since you are buying more than one. If they are $3 each and you want 10, offer them $25 instead of $30. 99% of the time, they will take it.

I've used ArtsCow for prints and their quality is actually better than Costco, Walmart, CVS, etc. and it's on par with pro sites like adoramapix.com. Plus at .49 for 8x10s you can't beat the price. I have yet to order any of their gift items but I am thinking of doing the playing cards for our OOT bags.

It's not just talk that having a baby over 35 carries more complications than it does for a younger woman. We produce eggs when we start menstruating and we have those same eggs until we go through menopause. The doctors just want you to be aware of the increased risks for complications as you age since, although society is waiting to have babies at a later age, our bodies are not. It is also harder for a woman to conceive at a later age. My mom had children at 23, 32, & 34 and miscarriages at 35 & 37. It's not a scare tactic. It's the doctor's job to make sure you are aware of the increased risks that waiting causes. Not to say that you won't have a healthy baby (I think there was a 60 year old who delivered recently) but you have to take all that into account. Another thing you can do is freeze your eggs now so that when you start trying, you are using the younger eggs.

Queensridge is located about 15-20 min away from the strip. All of the hotel/casino/resort in the area are practically giving away the rooms, because they are trying to attract visitors. The economy is hitting the strip hotels really hard. It all depends where you want to stay. Just let me know. Take care! ~Susana I heard that Primm hotels are actually giving away rooms to locals! They want you to stay and gamble so bad, they'll give you a free room. Crazy! -

I've been struggling with this recently. I really want one of those songs where you here the first few piano cords and you automatically know it's one of those great loves songs. A real classic. I was thinking Mariah Carey "When ever you call" and it's kinda about being apart but I don't think my whole family knows that song immediately. Maybe some classic R&B or blues song.... hmmmm. -

Check out the Flamingo. They have a lot of options under 1K, especially if you are doing a weekday. I think that is what we are leaning towards. My aunt attended a weeding at their garden chapel last year and said it was lovely. They also have their West Lawn for use or you can do it at the waterfalls poolside. Post here if you are getting married in Las Vegas
FoxyBride replied to Christine's topic in Destination Weddings in Las Vegas
I'm getting married in May 2009 in Vegas. I have a lot left to plan as I have the laziest fiancee around but as soon as I get some things confirmed I'll be sure to share them with BDW. -

The dog would run from side to side to tip the crate over & then literally squeeze their way out of the bottom of the crate (the openings were larger on the bottom). Maybe you should video tape her to see how she gets the latch open!! Well there's bite marks on the inside so what we think she is doing is pulling the inside of the cage, near the corner, with her teeth until it unhooks and squeezing through the corner. She also just plays with the handles with her nails to try to get it to slide over. She's too smart for her own good.

My pup is an escape artist. Every time we fix one way of her getting out of the cage, she finds another one. It's so bad we had to put zip-ties around all the edges so that when she unlatches it (because she has figured out how to... and how to open the room door) it will still be held together with those. She chews through them so we have to replace them every few days. LOL. Hopefully your boxer's escaping days are over.

So cute! We just got a chocolate pit bull to go with our red one. Surprisingly the puppy isn't has hyper as our 1.5 year old. She always tries to eat the little one! She throws him around like a toy. I can't wait until he gets bigger than her to see what she will do.
