Hello, My Wedding is on March 7, 2009. Our STD was mailed out in June and our invitations were mailed in August. I have chosen my wedding dress but like most Brides, I am dieting so I have scheduled measurements and first fitting for December 2008. I ordered my flowers from Hibiscus Florals in September and they are due to arrive in January. My bridesmaids dress/fabric was chosen in September and they will wear the barefoot sandals. My FI and the other guys have taken care of their attire as well. And our photographer is courtesy of Sungold photography (WPAJ), booked in September. I will mail our documents to Riu Palace Tropical Bay Resort this week. The Resort was closed for upgrades and is due to reopen on December 5, 2008. All other details are minor. I plan to keep it simple with the beach decorations and steel band, semi private reception and disco rental. Good luck and congratulations on your engagement!

The Wedding Dress is from the ML-Monique Lhuillier Spring 2008 collection. Funny how I found the dress. I am a Young and the Restless soap opera fan and Sabrina wore the dress when she married Victor. I fell in love with it and searched for a month before I was able to locate the designer. Trice, send me a private message with your email address if you don't want to post it. Funny we both have same wedding date and live in Georgia. I'd like to speak with you more about my bridesmaid dresses since you are familiar. Gold Sandals for the Bridesmaids is a wonderful idea. Thanks to everyone for your ideas. I love this forum!

My wedding colors are chocolate and creme with gold accents. The fabric for the dress is Creme and silk Charmeuse Cashmere for the belt. What do you think?

Thanks for the responses so far. To incorporate all your ideas I'm picturing wearing white barefoot jewelled sandals to the wedding and gold or silver thongs (flip flops) to the reception. Sounds good to me. I will check agape gems for more info. Thanks again

Thanks for the response. We've decided against the AHR at this time. However, someone on the forum suggested that I purchase the Acrylic cake topper off ebay and get the crystals for an arts and crafts store. I'm not creative but my sister is...I guess we'll practice the DIY method. It worked out great for my wedding invitations and I'm sure the cake topper will be fabulous. I just needed a little guidance.

The price list came for a Wedding Sales Coordinator. I believe he is correct because the previous version did not include prices for Riu Montego Bay. However, the prices are subject to change. Since the price list is for 2008 I'm sure something will change.

Would someone advise me where I could get cake jewelry and flowers? My wedding colors are chocolate, mocha, cream with gold accents. I would like an L- monogram as a cake topper. Not sure what font or what type of flowers would go best with the standard cake provided by the resort. I plan to upgrade but wanted to add my personal touch. I have seen a few threads about it including pics but I need a little more help please. Thanks

Hello Everyone, I have been on many forums for months and I must say that this one is the best. I will be married at Riu Tropical Bay on March 7, 2009. I know most of you who will be married in Jamaica are doing so at ROR. Unfortunately, I was unable to secure the date and time that I desired at that resort so I went with my second choice. I'm sure I will be pleased because the Riu chain is getting rave reviews. I will post pics and more info about myself soon and I'm sure all of you will be my new buddies soon. I'm excited.
