Also could you take some pictures of the bars, I'm thinking instead of doing a cocktail hour, just tell everyone to meet at one of the bars to save money.

Lizzy, meeting you is going to make me life so much easier. I will have to get you a "post-wedding" drink ... or 2. I believe they will section off a place for you at one restaurants, usually to the side, and Tiara will still set it up for you how ever you like, even a cake table. The only thing is then you cant have you our music, i was planning on bring a bose ipod portable dock to play music, hopefully they have something playing over the pa or even musicians walking around playing. Looking back at info, it looks like over 10 ppl is considered a group and you would have to pay for every person over 10. I found it really helpful to look at the dreams tulum thread as they have so much info and laid out so well.

At least this way we will have money to spend on something else and everyone can order the food they like, so I'm happy. I am thinking of doing the seaside grill as well. If you don't rent out the whole place, I think there might be a charge of $15 per head if you have over x amount of ppl. I believe it is to take care of bring out everyone's food at the same time.
  7. We are doing the ceremony at 4:30, the sun should be setting at 7:04. I want a good amount of time for pictures before the sunset as most likely things will run a little late.
  8. the wireless mic is a great feature. should have no problem but i would double check that the airline will let you check it in.
  9. It looks pretty big to bring down to Jamica. I am planning on buying a Bose portable iPod dock. Its around $400 but figure i'll use it again at home once the wedding is done. Others have used it and said it was loud enough. I when to the store to listen and its very good quality plus its not to big to bring down with me. I would definitely go in person to see how big it is and the quality before you buy it.
  10. i use these when we go kayaking, they fit my camera perfectly. Never had them underwater completely so i dont know how well they keep water 100% out but they would great for around the pool.

  12. I plan on getting mine at discountmugs.com since i will only need around 20. I believe these are the same ones you picked out and you only need to buy 12. plus the shipping is free.

I asked Tiara back in March if they have the option of fireworks, bonfire or fire dances (as some of the other dreams resorts has some of these options) and at the time she only said fireworks but didnt say the price. Havent found any info on steel drum band as this could be harder to find since this is more of a Jamaica thing. I am pretty sure we will go with the Caribbean music trio.

I did the exact same thing, one tried it on once and order somewhere else but mine does not come in till late Feb... ugh I have been worrying about not loving it when it comes in but when i showed others my top picks they always pick the one i went with.
  17. I'm another 5.15.10 bride! I have gotten the big things out of the way, dress and photographer. Can't really do a lot of little things yet cause dont know how many are coming which is starting to drive me crazy!!!
