Great post! I have naturally curly hair but I always starighten it. When I was in Mexico last year it was a mess and I was forced to keep it curly all week...but I really want it straight for my wedding day! I can't wait to see what other recommendations anyone has...Thanks for posting!

I'm glad I read this...I am working on our invites right now and have my name first...but had originally had my full name listed...I didn't even think to just do my first and middle name, didn't realize that was proper etiquette. Now I'm going back and forth on it...what did everyone else do?

FI has to work (overnight 11-7) so a friend and I are driving to Jersey to visit our friend that lives there...we will probably just hang out at her place and maybe go to a local bar with her boyfriends friends...but no real plans...kinda lame i know... BUT the best part is that on new years day i am taking them out to lunch to ask them to be bridesmaids so its not a completely lame trip...

I'm totally with you...my FI is completely uninvolved...every time I try to talk about it he would change the subject or say he was tired and needed to go to bed! It was sooo frustrating! I finally talked to him about and told him he was making me feel like he didn't care. He is making more of an effort now, but he even said it's not his thing. He has have some input in the important parts like the date and resort, but other than that he leaves it up to me....

I used wedorama...it was $35 for a year with a knot discount code.... I had signed up for 7 or 8 free trials to see which one I liked best and ended up with that one. I really wanted my own domain name so it was easy for people to remember, otherwise I would have gone with a free one.

The Aventura Spa Palace (part of Palace chain) used to be an adults only, but in April it is switching to allow children on HALF the resort. You just have to get married on the side where the kids are allowed. We originally booked this resort because it was adults only, but when they changed I decided to have my cousin's daughter come and be my flower girl (she will be 3)...I was originally upset but am making the best of it...it's also less expensive than many of the other all inclusives...something to look into...I know there are a few that allow kids for the wedding because I remember when I was doing my research...I just can't remember what they are... Hey Michael, My wedding is July 16th in Mexico (yeah it's a Thursday), and you have one on Saturday the 18th...I'm assuming you wouldn't be able to make it but I wanted to double check...?

OMG! I can't believe you are thinking of switching! I am obviously biased, but I think I'm only upset really that there will be one less Aventura bride...especially when there are so few of us to begin with...and I won't be able to plan based on your wedding I had literally been counting down the days! But, really none of that matters. If you want to switch, then SWITCH. It's your wedding and you need to be happy about the place you choose. I looked at Excellence and it really is beautiful. I think the only thing that would keep me from switching is the price... Good luck, and keep me in the loop!

My dress is very plain and doesn't have a train and just recently I decided I wanted one....so I went shopping and ended up with a big puffy dress with a train that I now think is too big. So I'm stuck again. I think I will wear my original dress for the ceremony and reception because it's very light and sooo comfortable, and then wear the big heavy one for my TTD...at least I'll look like a bride in some of the pictures... I understand what you mean about "not looking like a bride." I would recommend getting a short train and that way you will FEEL like a bride...you can always bustle it! In the end you have to be comfortable and I'm sure it will be beautiful either way! Good luck

Make sure you have your FI there to talk you through it and don't look at the needle! If you're not looking at it a lot of times you don't even feel it! Having blood drawn doesn't really bother me, but I am nervous that it will leave a mark for my wedding day...I am very pale and bruise very easily and almost every time I have blood drawn I am left with a giant bruise on my arm I'm hoping it will at least be gone before the big day

i can't believe that! It's one thing to expect a few not to show, but 70?! Sounds similar to my Dad's side of the family...but I already know they won't be invited to my AHR... I'm so sorry that happened to you...I can't believe how rude and selfish people can be
