  1. Invites went out to 56 people...but we're expecting around 20...we have 8 guests booked so far...
  2. Hey girls...I was reading about this today and thought it was pretty cool if it's in your area. There isn't one even close to me But check it out! The dates and locations and more info can be found at bridesagainstbreastcancer.org. Locations included the Carolinas, Florida, California, Chicago, Seattle, and more!
  3. Erin! I just checked Elizabeth Medina's blog and your pics are AMAZING! (I've been checking every day of course) You looked so beautiful...congratulations again!!
  4. Very cute! Where did you order from? Did you make all the items that are going in the coolers or order from somewhere? Your guests are going to love those!
  5. Congrats! I hear the 4 Seasons is beautiful! You will have a great time!
  6. Grrr...it just makes me hate them more and more! I'm sorry that that happened...it's been my experience that they are just looking for a commission and will pressure you into doing anything. They don't seem to care about making sure you make the right choice. I'm so glad they are letting you exchange it though. I didn't think they would...they told me I could do a size exchange but that's it. My situation hasn't really gone anywhere. I called several other DB in CT and NY and none had my dress in a 0 so I could go try it on. One store was nice enough to look in the computer and was able to tell me that my particular dress could not be located anywhere across the US in a 0, so it truly was a special order. I wish the first store had done that and saved me the trouble of calling a million places. My plan was to try on a 0 in a different dress just to see how the sizing was, but I don't think I'm going to bother. The 2 is a little big, but I'm hoping to grow into it in the next couple of months. I'm going to pick up some of those disgusting health shakes and start drowning myself in them....I showed the dress to my aunt and cousin the other day and they made me feel a lot better about it. They said it was fine the way it is and if I got a 0 I might not be able to move as easily in it (sit down/dance), which is probably true. So for now I think I will just deal with it. I still have plenty of time to change my mind... Good luck finding a new dress!
  7. These are exactly what I wanted to get for our GM to wear at the reception to be comfy...but they are expensive! This is the cheapest I've seen them but we need them in black. I found them on ebay for $40 but not sure I want to spend that much (we have 3 GM)...if anyone knows where to get these cheaper, let me know!
  8. I can't believe someone stole the camera!! WTF?! I can't believe how dishonest and disrespectful people can be...especially since they are supposed to be there to help you out and enjoy the time with friends and family. I'm sorry that happened but it sounds like the party was an overall success. And you are leaving very soon...how exciting!!
  9. I can't figure out how to attach it to a PM so I hope you are able to get it from here...let me know if it doesn't work and I can send it to your email... Just so you know with this font the numbers don't really match the letters...for example, in order for it to look like the right size, we used size 28 font for the letter but made the numbers size 48. And vistaprint printed everything. The larger one is a 6x9 invitation (pic on one side, invite on other)... And the smaller thing is a regular sized postcard, with our STD on one side and the RSVP on the other. We uploaded all our own images. Good luck!
  10. Thanks ladies...I was feeling kind of cheap like I could have spent a lot more but what's the point I can always count on you guys to make me feel better! I'm just glad they are all sent and I don't have to think about them anymore... Oh and the handwritten font is called PetraScript...I saw it in another BDW post and loved it...I think I got it from dafont.com but not totally sure...I can PM or post it if anyone needs it...

  12. So we went kinda casual with the invites... It took us so long to get out our STDs, that we ended up combining the two... so this is our invite/STD... -We used the pics from our engagement session and a poem by one of my favorite authors (ee cummings) -printed the envelopes on our home printer -Invites/postcards/envelopes from vistaprint.com $45 -ribbon from Michaels and Walmart $8 -sand dollars from Oriental Trading $5 -glue tape $7 -white paperstock from amazon.com $20 (i really wanted colored metallic but it was so expensive to get in the size we needed) I really didn't want to spend a lot of money considering not that many people are going to end up coming anyway... -postage $40 (two postcard stamps and 2 regular stamps for each invite) -----Grand total: $125 DIY is NOT always cheaper, especially in lower quantities...postage really got us, it was an extra 20 cents to have the sand dollar on them because they couldn't go through the machine at the post office. I had budgeted $100 for these and went a little over...BUT I could have saved money at vistaprint if I waited to get a better coupon and we will use the paper for the rest of our projects (over 200 sheets left)... Now for the pics...
  13. I almost forgot...I also bought the "Candy Shop Lip Gloss"... pack of 3 was $2.50...probably not a great deal (they sell them by the fishbowl on the website) but they are tropical looking and will be perfect for my BM's OOT bags
  14. I just bought the "Get The Look-Smokey Eyes" set...it was $5 at Big Lots...same price as the website, but no shipping cost Can't wait to try it out...thanks for the tip!
  15. Great find! I hope someone has used it and can offer a review...
  16. This is the link to the on-site photography samples that I received...hope it helps... Palace Weedings Photography Kelly...I'm curious to know if you got something different?
