  1. Our bags are getting expensive but we only have about 20 guests, and these are in place of favors. The bags were 2.50 at Target, the mugs we bought from someone on here so they weren't as expensive as full personalization (they say riviera maya). The Spanish books and crosswords were under $1, and we're hoping everything else will be as we get other items...we budgeted $500 for these, and I think we will come in under budget, but yes, it is expensive...
  2. Misti will be joining us in Mexico in July! Can't wait! Great choice Jenn!
  3. Jena-we are giving ourselves 2 hours for dinner to be on the safe side. Yazmin told us it usually takes between 1 1/2-2 hours. We are eating at 6, and scheduled our cocktail reception at 8...so if we finish early we can just relax at the table for a while or head outside for more pictures before the reception starts. We got our OOT bags at Target (black zipper totes) and we are still scouting ones for the guys. We are looking for a plain sling backpack one. If we don't end up finding them for cheap, they go for about $10 at places like Nike, and we will end up doing that. We don't have as many guys attending. In our bags we already have Spanish for Dummies, travel mugs, beach balls, & crosswords, but we are still shopping. We plan to also include first aid kits, pool floats, bubble bath, bug repellant, sunscreen, cards, notepan & pen, & mini battery operated fans. I'm still figuring out how to get all the stuff down there.... What did you figure out in terms of flowers?

  5. We got engaged in Feb of 2007, and are getting married in July 2009. I've really enjoyed taking our time and with a destination wedding, it has been nice to have extra time (although we didn't decide on the destination until Oct of 200. Good luck and enjoy your time as an engaged couple...you will be married before you know it!

We actually don't have cable anymore so I had to replace it with something! But more importantly, I dragged him to look at a house near us today and we both fell in love. We're discussing putting an offer in by the end of the weekend! Sooooooo exciting!
  7. FI and I had this same scare last week! He mentioned that my chest looked/felt slightly larger...I FREAKED. It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if I were to be preggo (honestly it excites me just a little) but with just a few months before the wedding?! The first thing I thought of is how going to an all-inclusive would be such a waste because I wouldn't be able to drink...welll, long story short: I took a test and it was negative. I had just switched to Yaz so I'm sure that's what's causing the change in my body (not that I'm complaining...) Did you take the test yet?? ::crossing my fingers for you::
  8. If your pink is bright enough it will have a tropical feel all by itself. If the waterlily is what you want, use it! Just brighten up the background and it will pop! You don't even need to use it with anything else...keep it simple...
  9. sounds like the story of my life....i misplace things all the time....they'll turn up hun-good luck!
  10. This is so helpful! I'm trying to work on my programs too....thanks!
  11. I think you will be fine...I remember the first time I went dress shopping it seemed like every single dress I tried on was a 12 or 14. I assumed that was what most "sample sizes" were so they would fit a variety of people (with clamps if needed). I think 12 is pretty average!
  12. I have to hide anything on HGTV from him...I really want to buy a house this year, and he "isn't ready" so het gets mad when I'm looking/dreaming.
  13. Welcome Besheka! You will find so much great info here....good luck in all your planning and congratulations on your engagement!
  14. I agree with Jenny...haven't registered yet, but we're not going to register for fine china. We wouldn't really have any room for it and wouldn't use it enough to be worthwhile. I think I need to learn to cook first!

  16. they don't scratch her, she LOVES them. idk...we just thought they were too dressy for the beach? maybe i'll leave them...i just don't know what else to put there that will look right.
  17. I want the flowers pleeeeaaaase. They are my colors! How can I pay you?
  18. He said it will be too hot at 4:00. IT'S MEXICO IN JULY! It's hot! Deal with it... I will talk to him again and hopefully get my way. And the pictures...I know 30 minutes isn't a lot. But I really don't even think I'll use the whole time. There are maybe 5 posed pics that I want, if that. I'm not really a fan. We will do the two of us, BM, GM, parents, then maybe a group shot. And I hear the ceremony only takes 15 minutes...so I figured I was already giving a bit of wiggle room. If it comes down to it, and we're a few minutes late for dinner, I don't really care.
  19. Our FG just got her dress the other night...she cried when she had to take it off.... its a little big...we'll see how much she grows and have it fitted as it gets closer. we are going to remove the rhinestone, but we have to put something else in its place...any ideas?
  20. So I finally decided that I wanted to bump everything up an hour to catch the sunset...checked it with FI just to make sure before I did it...and he said NO. wtf?
