She was emailing with no success.

I got married April 1 and had no trouble getting that day with only 3 months notice. The last week of March and first week of April were very open. When I got there Landy told me busy season started early/mid April. So you may want to try very early April. But avoid Easter (not sure when it falls next year...) because travel will be expensive and the resort will be full. Thanks for the headsup. I think I am stuck with the March 20th date now. I really wanted the weekend after or some time in April, but they were full for friday or saturday weddings during that timeframe. She said May is closed and all of the weekends in April are as well. There was only one Thursday in April available, but I'm sure mon-wed has some openings. Anyway, I wonder if some of the spots she's holding do not have deposits down. ?? My FH's birthday is two days after our date...which he really didn't want. Well, either way, we are stuck with late March....so...how was the weather when you were there How about the crowd? Did it feel like you were on top of each other, or is the resort pretty seperated? I wanted a smaller more relaxed place, but I'm not sure if I want to be running into everyone I know the whole time I'm there. I love my down time on the beach with a pina colada!!

Needless to say, I don't deal with Lizette anymore and I got my sunset wedding time! Now I'm worried about photo's (being that my wedding time is sunset), but then I learned about the "Trash the Dress" photo-shoot! Please excuse me as I'm new to all this and have never heard of that before! oh man! now i am totally regreting not playing hardball. I just didn't want to make her mad and black list me. It was difficult to get a straight answer out of her and I got off the phone feeling like there was more availability than I uncovered for times, etc. The phone conversation was hurried and I could tell she just wanted me off the phone. We really wanted to get married the weekend after if we couldn't find a date in April. Now we have to get married 2 days before my FH's birthday! That's the one thing he said he didn't want to do. He's fine with it if it's the only date available near our timeframe, but when we first started planning, that was his one request...not to have the wedding on his birthday weekend! ugh. maybe I should call back. I really want it the following weekend, but I sent in my credit card authorization this morning....

For transportation from the airport I was able to find a great deal on a van - $180 both ways for as many as 8 people so that's awasome and I would be glad to share that with anyone that needs that link. My FI and I are renting a Jeep Wrangler there so I was also able to find a great deal on that - $150 for 10 days there and I would be glad to share that link with anyone interested also. It's only 28 days to the wedding and 23 days till we leave so I am quite excited that I think almost all the arrangements are on their final leg when you say that you reserved the trips for 29 guests on cheaptickets, how were you able to do that? Did you just pay for them and then have them reimburse you? I'm not sure how to go about it without having to pay for or at least put down a deposit for my guests in order to ensure there is available space for everyone that wants to come. Did you do a room block at the hotel?

Nice reason, right? Ha!! Anyway, we're doing it a few weeks after we get back. I figure if we did it 'legal' in Mexico it would take several months to be legal in the US so its still quicker!!! That's how I feel about it! I want the walk down the isle to be fresh and not to feel like it's just a formality. I have a friend who was so busy before she left that she ended up doing it after she got back and said it was better that way.

Has anyone waited until they get back from the honeymoon to actually do their "legal day?" I sort of want to wait until after the religious ceremony to do mine. Also, has anyone actually planned their Dreams Tulum wedding without the help of a Travel Agent? The one I am currently in contact with is...dare I say...slower than the onsite WC at Dreams!! I'm getting responses faster than her! =P

I've been doing a lot of my research from everyone's posts here and have read some very helpful information...so "THANK YOU" (in advance)! di you have a problem locking down a march wedding date? it seems like they are pretty booked up! i was told I wouldn't have to worry about the spring break crowd either, but...??

It's looking like it's going to be March for sure, now, so...worried about the crowds, etc. Also, Lizette says you can't lock down a reception locale until you get there!!

Most of my friends and family will stay through Sunday, then FH and I will head to another resort for honeymoon.

Thanks for the heads up on that. I didn't know. It makes sense that the regular spring break crowd wouldn't be there, but I just wonder if it will be crowded with lots of families being there

That's what I think I'm going to do since they are so busy. Was it difficult to reach them by phone? I got an autoreply message that Landy is out of the office until Sept. 16!

thanks for the tip. I want to go before it's too hot and before the rainy season. I thought about March, but I want to avoid any spring break festivities.

I am planning to have mine there as well. After tons or research I finally decided over the weekend to go with Dreams Tulum. Now the tough part...locking in a date so I can begin planning! When are you shooting for??
