Sorry I forgot to mention if you decided to do the Private beach reception you have to have a minimum of 40 guests… If you have 30 you will pay for the other 10 so it’s very important to keep that in mind!!

We are getting married on June 25, 2010 at the Grand Sunset princess hotel. We have about 88 guests attending. We decided to do the Private Beach Wedding reception we are not doing the civil ceremony only the Catholic Church on 5th avenue (Nuestra Senora Del Carmen) our wedding coordinator is Sandra Chavira, I have to say that she has made my planning with the hotel very easy. Have no complains about her. She is prompt to answer my emails. We booked Winnie Vallejo for our photographer!!! Love her profile her pictures and video and I like the fact that she gets back to you right away. I’m looking forward to meeting her. I would recommend her to anyone! Hello 2010 Brides!! Don’t let it overwhelm you try to enjoy your planning. We are getting married on June 25th, 2010 @ Grand Sunset Princess. We are having a private reception in the beach. I can honestly they have been very helpful and have gotten back to me really quick with any questions I have. FYI it doesn’t hurt to buy a calling card and give them a call sometimes that helps a lot more. What I like about the hotel is that they let you bring outside vendors even if they charge you for a day pass but at least you do have a choice.. I did pick the mariachi and DJ service the only thing that I brining in is the photographer and videographer. I found someone who quoted me for a better price and more pictures. They charge a $70 day pass but since pictures are very important to me I didn’t mind. You can also get your flowers from outside vendors, since the hotel flowers can be expensive. If there’s anything that I can help you with please do not hesitate to email me at [email protected]. I went to Playa Del Carmen to make almost all my arrangement hotel, church and flowers. I did get some emails for bus services in case anyone needs for transportation on their wedding day and some emails for flowers stores. Like I mentioned, it doesn’t hurt to buy a calling card and call these place you can get a lot more done and get more of an idea…. I do understand about the stressing of your guest paying so much money but do keep in mind that does who want to be with you and attend your special day would do it regardless…I hope I was somewhat of a help.
