Choosing the resort is a really hard decision and one that I changed my mind on quite a few times. In the end I chose the Paradisus. My sister was there in January and all the brides have had great things to say about it. I don't regret the decision at all. Good luck!

I found the sandals I am going to order! I always thought I was just going to wear a nice big flower in my hair and was xing the veil. But when I went to pick my dress up I tried it on with a veil and I really like it. I think I'll wear it during the ceremony and ditch it for the reception.

I love diamonds...but you should get what you want! Have you tried on many? That's the only way you'll truly know what they'll look like. I just went and picked mine out and am getting a band for each side of my ring, both with diamonds. I'm not usually a bling kinda girl, but I really do like those shiny little jewels!

lol! I wonder if there's any drugs I can take that will help? There probably is, but they probably come at the price of being unconscious! I managed to hold it together for my sister's wedding (though there were some staring up to the sky moments to compose myself). I guess I'll just need some good make up!

So I have a huge fear of being unable to control my emotions at my upcoming wedding. I am an emotional person and generally a big cryer. This wouldn't be so bad if I didn't get big red splotches all over my face when I cry. I am so scared of looking like a blotchy freak in all my pictures from the ceremony. I don't even think I am going to be able to give a speech! At my engagement party when I tried, I broke down in tears. Anyone else suffer from this fear or get the red splotches? Any suggestions or ideas are most welcome!

Oh lord! Why does every detail have to stress me out? Not entirely decided on music...I know I want our first dance to be Unchained Melodies. I for sure want to have Somewhere over the Rainbow...trying to decide if I should use that when I walk down the aisle, or while BM and mom etc walk down? I would also really like to incorporate Elvis Presley, Can't help falling in love, as that was my parents first dance. I was thinking of having that play while I walk down the aisle, but I'm worried it's too slow? Thoughts?

My dress is also ivory. FH is wearing beige pants and jacket with ivory shirt and GM will wear beige pants with ivory shirt. I also worried about my dress looking dirty if he wore a white shirt.

So I was just checking out prices online and the price came down from what we paid. Oh well, I guess I knew that would happen. But, what I don't get is there is a difference of $95 for the taxes It's the same company, going to the same place, for the same lengthy of time?? I emailed the TA to see what could be done. We shall see!

My engagement ring is just a simple white gold band with a solitair. I am getting a band to go on each side with some smaller diamonds around. I can't believe our topic fell all the way down to the 4th page! Brooke, how was your wedding? I am officially down to under 2 months and feel like I still have so much to figure out. My mother finally got her dress after searching for hours! Thank goodness. I think I'm burnt out from this planning stuff and am just ready to party!

Mannia is the company name...they have a few djs. Most people have used Carlos, but he won't be there for my wedding day. I have heard nothing but good things about them and there are many satisfied brides that have used them. As far as pricing, it depends what you're looking for. I didn't even ask for a quote from Swank (the dj that the Paradisus uses) as there were a few brides who didn't have great things to say about them when they chose not to use their services.

Hey girls, So I emailed Perla and moved my ceremony time from 5pm to 4:30, as I was concerned about the sun setting before we get a chance for photos. I asked her for suggestions for any type of performance and her response was tango dancers or any kind of performance. Not exactly the help I was looking for. I am starting to get stressed out, as I feel like time is flying by and I'm not getting anything done! Why can't I be organized like Missy?? I emailed Ajua weddings about performers, but they only deal with you if you have them plan your wedding. Does anyone have suggestions? I was thinking some type of Aztec dancers or something along those lines? I know I can't have fire dancers. Also, I can make up my mind for music for the ceremony and the cocktail hour. I am using Mania for the reception, but I would really like something live for the ceremony and cocktail. I think I want a Mariachi for the cocktail, but I'm not sure they would be appropriate for the ceremony. If I bring someone else in for the ceremony, that means another outside vendor fee. Any help?

I'm looking for recommendations for a Canadian company to get barefoot sandals from, as that's what i plan on wearing for the ceremony. Any suggestions?

Oh, and we officially have 23 booked, which includes my FH and I. There should be at least two more and I keep a very close eye on the prices, so I'm hoping we'll get at least a few more. I am very sad that my one aunt and uncle couldn't come (she couldn't get the time off work), but what can you do.

Ok, so I finally made a decision on a photographer. We are going to fly someone in...crossing my fingers everything turns out ok with the decision. I am super paranoid. I picked up my dress on Saturday. I originally didn't want a veil (i thought I would spend too much time fussing with it in the wind) but I tried it on with a veil and I felt much more like a bride, so i think i will go with one. I can always take it off it it bugs me. When I ordered it, it was a bit too small, but it fit perfectly on the weekend, so I am glad those painful hours at the gym and with the trainer paid off!

Ok, I’m having a minor panic attack! Somehow my wedding is in less then 4 months and I still can’t decide what to do about photography. I am so indecisive. I saw one that I really liked, but the cost of booking her and flying her out here is a lot. My SIL has a friend who takes pregnancy and baby photos, so we were thinking about her, but she’s never done a wedding before, and I think her style is more of the posed style and I really am looking for someone who does more photojournalism. I came across moments that matter, and thought they looked really good, but they are completely booked. I don’t know what to do. Should I fly someone in, so I have them for the week, or do I use someone local, who I would have to pay extra for to have do a TTD. This is what I get for being a last minute person and indecisive!

I have been MIA for a bit...so busy with the move, and throwing a baby shower for my sister, and work! I guess it's about time I got down to business with some more planning for the actual wedding. Choosing a photographer is the biggest thorn in my bum right now! I am so torn on what to do. Pictures are important, but it's hard to justify spending 1/3 of your budget on one item. I am leaning towards bringing someone with me, but the cost of the trip alone doesn't leave much room for what they'll make! After choosing the resort, this item has caused me the most stress.
