Welcome and congrats! The way you save money on a destination wedding is usually because you have fewer people there...the costs can add up just as quickly as having a wedding back home. You can do it, you just need to be prepared for some sacrifices. Good luck!

Welcome and congrats...I am getting married at the Paradisus. It would probably fit into your budget, but the prices are always high when it is still far out. There's a big long thread with tons of comments from brides who have gotten married there.

I've learned that a destination wedding doesn't seem to mean less stress (at least not for me). The biggest thing that stressed me out was prices and not being able to get them early enough for my liking. You need to decide what is important to you and your FI and see is destination works for you. For the most part there are people you love that will be unable to attend, so you have to be prepared and be ok with that. Good luck!

My mom finally found a dress after too many shopping trips to count and a lot of stress! We found it at Melanie Lyne's. No picture yet, but I think it looks really nice on her. -
