Wow. My heart is breaking just reading your post and anybody else whose wedding is affected by this. Who knew it would be this bad!!! I would be kicking and screaming crying and bust a whole or two in the walls and take it out on anybody who comes my way. Since you're probably more civilized than I am, I'll do it fo You. Thanks ladies, for answering all of my questions. I'm now at the fun stage where I'm planing out seating and decorations! I haven't figred out how to decorate the reception, except that I'm bringing wedding flags and tablerunners. I'm making my own tablerunner since it's an easy project. I'm planning to connect 4 long tables in one row to fit 29 people. Soooo, for those of you who know, is there a room to connect 4 long tables in one single row? I have tons of EDR reception pictures, but I can't see clearly

I can't have a wedding cake (ugh, allergies) so I'm buying a pinata shaped like a cupcake and bash the hell out of it. Maybe I'll include lottery tickets, or something that interests people. You can find cute pinatas on etsy. But I don't know if there's an elegant pinata. Bashing something is not really elegant, ya know?

I wish I'd known about this before I booked with Fer! But then, since my hotel charges $500 vendor fee per vendor, it would be super expensive to have all 3 of you... the lucky winner would feel like a celebrity with 3 (very talented) paparazzis following her!

My friends went to Egypt for their honeymoon too. They enjoyed the vacation, but I was told that people should be careful. Everyone, especially women, should not venture out without a guide. Hi guys. I'm thinking about hiring outside florist to do my bouquet and centerpiece and have it delivered. Would anyone know if I'll be charged a vendor fee for this? I'm afraid to ask Valerie since she might charge me another $500 for not using their florist! Sheesh this vendor thing is pain in the butt!

I just have a pile sitting in the corner of the property, where I throw my vegetable scraps. I saw an earthworm when I turned the pile over today, so I'm happy about that. I think I'll start vermicomposting in addition to my pile outside. But I don't know if the worms will survive in a wooden box in the northern Cali winter (I heard that they don't do well below 60F) but I kind of feel grossed out by keeping a container full of worms in my house.

That's just lame! I'm angry for you! I hope it all turns out well at the end

I've been mulling over the designs since last September and although it was really fun making them, I'm glad to get it out of the way... Ms. AnacGracia, I saw that you embossed your envelopefolds! Knowing how much embossing costs at professional printer, what did you use to make them?! I'm curious!

My invites are finally done, and I'm going to run out and send them out in a little while! So in my last post I got my letterpress invites that my fiance and I designed, which looks something like this... Here's the image of the blind-pressed envelope that has the same pattern as the bride's veil. Now onto the fun stuff! Embelishment! Instead of the paper sleeves, I decided to keep with my lace motif and wrapped pretty lace ribbon around them. Then I wrapped the invites with leather cords and attached little accessories made of real aquamarine chips and freshwater pearls. Here are my assistants Mr.Beastly and Mr.Raving Rabbid helping me string the stones. Finished invite Then I realized that the chips added too much bulk to be sent in a regular envelope! D'oh! Thus, I had to put them in boxes, which is another added expense...but I couldn't live without my aquamarines and pearls... So Here's my row of calligraphy labels for the boxes. I enjoyed trying out the oblique pen. Finished boxes I printed out the RSVP on nice,toothy watercolor paper with my Epson to save some money. Here's the finished product. And lastly, I wrapped the package with some craft paper, and it's ready to be shipped!

Why is that People try to find the closest parking spot when they go to the gym, and don't put the weights back after they're done?! They're there to lift weights, right?!

Hiring a dog walker I think is a good idea. He needs something to keep his mind and body occupied while he's left home alone. He's probably a high energy dog, and he probably needs to play a lot! Also at the animal shelter that I used to work at, we would keep crate-shy animals on the leash and hook them onto a heavy furniture of the room where you're in. Give him something to play with, like a rolled up old tshirt that he can chew one. There's nothing cruel about this method, and you can keep your eye on him while you're at home.

Hi Tammy. I live in the bay area as well... I have a really super-hard clay soil, hard enough to break a metal spade by banging on the dirt! How's yours? Do you have to constantly amend it? I moved into a house with a beautiful yard last year and although I spent a lot of money on plants most of them didn't survive due to deer/drought. I think I'm going to look into planting more succulents.
